    There were so many promises. 

    Ones that had been given to him, and not kept. 

    Ones that he had made himself and broken with his own hands. 

    Ones that weren’t quite broken yet, but nothing was keeping them from fracturing, and the cracks were going to break them apart soon enough, and they were few and far between. 

    Loki hadn’t thought it would come to this, he promised. 

    But that was probably broken just like the others from the start.

    OR: In which Loki's not having a good time, Nebula and Gamora don't realize Loki was born for court politics and can sense sibling angst from a mile away, Thor's having a miserable time with emotions, and they probably aren't going to make it out, but they're going to try.
