Summary
And then, as if he has not suffered enough for his failures, his father shows up. With no Jade Emperor, his father is the next best thing. But his father has never liked him, and in the past he had been sure to make his distaste known. Now, with Heaven in the state of disarray it is in, Li Jing does not change his way.
Their first meeting since the near end of the world comes with the scorching glare Li Jing is so good at. Despite being physically the same size as his father, Nezha always feels small when in front of him.
“Well, if it isn’t my failure of an offspring,” says Li Jing, contempt dripping from every word. “I see in my absence you were not able to fulfill your duties.” Nezha hangs his head and says nothing. Sometimes his father wants a response, and sometimes he does not. It’s impossible to tell, so Nezha always chooses silence. “No matter, from here I will take over.”
