Work Text:
An intoxicating aroma of cinnamon apples drew Thalassa into the kitchen. There, Gale stood over a steaming cauldron of mulled apple cider, brow furrowed.
“Ooh, smells amazing!” she said, inhaling for effect.
“What’s wrong?” she added, seeing Gale’s expression.
“It’s missing something,” he mused. “I could use your insight, if you’d be so kind as to lend your palate.”
“Twist my arm, why don’t you?” Thalassa teased. She sampled a teaspoon of the simmering brew.
Gale observed her intently as she savored the cider. “And?”
“I think it needs just a bit more clove.”
“Hmm, you’re absolutely right.” He agreed.
