   Summary

   When Impulse threw an arm around Zed's shoulders, he still went stiff. 

   Zed wanted to be able to lean into him. He could see the bridge the other man was trying to build between them, how he was carefully responding to Zed's attention. He wanted to reach back, to let Impulse see him entirely, and he was terrified to think about it. Maybe he wasn't ready even if he wanted to be.

   Zed reached over carefully and took Impulse's hand. The smile he was rewarded with was sweet, and he felt like he could breathe easier when Impulse looked at him like that.
