Work Text:

Cody had been dreading this mission ever since he'd found out and now that it was happening it was somehow worse. A dangerous bounty hunter had been seen at a bar in the lower levels of Coruscant and it was essential that he was caught for the safety of the Republic. The jedi had chosen Cody's general Obi-Wan Kenobi for the mission and Cody had volunteered to go with him.
Which he was regretting now but in all fairness when it had been brought up, Obi-Wan's hair had fallen infront of his eyes and he had given Cody a smile that made he want to melt, the urge to reach out and kiss his general senseless had become so strong he had to distract himself so when Obi-Wan asked him a question he agreed without thinking.
However he was having second thoughts about it. They were both dressed in civies which Cody had never been completely comfortable with. It had him feel naked to be without his armour and he knew if Obi-Wan so much as glanced at him he would fold.
They were now walking behind the bounty hunter, trying to figure out where he was going next in the glum light of the lower levels, pratically hand in hand. Every so often Obi-Wan would reach out unconsciously and rub his pinky against Cody's thumb. Cody felt like he was going to die.
They had had good luck in the bar and had gotten good information about who the bounty hunter might be working with. Cody was glad it went well but now he just wanted it to over so he could back to just being his generals Commander and stuff his annoying feelings deep down inside him, never to be seen again.
Something was off though, the gap between the them and the bounty hunter had gotten larger than Cody wanted but Obi-Wan was now caressing Cody's wrist, leaning into his side and making it hard for Cody to even think straight-
Wait where had the bounty hunter gone. Cody looked around, there was nobody around them, it was too quiet. Somethingwas about to go very wrong.
He turned and leant toward Obi-Wan. "General, where did is the-".
He was interrupted by Obi-Wan pushing him up against the wall of an alleyway. Cody could barely breathe, Obi-Wan's body was so close to his and Cody couldn't hear anything his heart and head were far too loud. Obi-Wans head dropped down to Cody's neck and his lips brushed up against his ear. He could feel Obi-Wans warm breath against his skin. His head reaching around Cody and travelling lower until Cody thought he was about to pass out.
"Don't worry my dear Cody but the bounty hunter seems to have caught on to our mission and is currently across the street watching us we are gonna to pretend to be a pair of lovers fooling around, that alright my dear?".
That explained it then, Obi-Wan was just acting for the mission. This was real life not some fantsay of Codys. He could do this, for the mission, for the Republic. Obi-Wan's other hand reached for Cody's jaw. Cody moved his left hand to his Jedi's hair, running his hands through his red curls while his other hand lifted to go around Obi-Wan's waist. Suddenly Cody felt gentle kisses on his earlobe moving down to his neck and Cody had never felt pleasure like this before even if it was fake and for a mission, right now it mattered. He tightened his grip on Obi-Wan's hair and heard a whine escape from his mouth, he'd never heard a sound so perfecf before in his whole life.Cody lowered his head and rubbed his nose against Obi-Wan's.
This was it. He moved his mouth closer and closer until-
"Is he gone now?" Obi-Wan said softly, his lips praticially against Cody's mouth. Of course this wasn't real, he needed to remember. Something somewhere inside Cody broke. He dragged his eyes away from Obi-Wan. The bounty hunter was gone now. Obi-Wan was right. Cody stepped back and cleared his throat.
"The bounty hunter is gone sir". He refused to look at Obi-Wan, his general, the man who had stolen his heart without even realising, the man he had nearly just kissed.
"Are you alright Commander? I did not mean to make you uncomfortable by any means". Obi-Wan reassured him, trying to catch his eye. Cody knew he had to do something. He just needed to push past this then it would be over and theyd never have to talk about it ever again. "I'm fine sir, it was for the mission". Cody said blunty but he knew he didn't sound convincing whatsoever. Cody started to walk away so he didn't have to face Obi-Wan but a hand grabbed his wrist, pulling him back.
"Cody, my dear are you truly alright?" Obi-Wan looked broken, Cody had only ever seen him like this once before and that was after being enslaved by the Zygerrians and that just made everything so much worse.
Cody was about to say he was fine again but Obi-Wan reached a hand out to Cody's face and pulled him closer. Cody let it happen and suddenly they were kissing. Obi-Wans lips were softer than Cody had ever imagined. Cody moved his hand back around Obi-Wans waist and his other went back to the his hair. Cody whined when Obi-Wan bit down on his lip, this was unbelievable. It was like it was meant to be, they fit perfectly together. Obi-Wan pulled back but kept their foreheads touching, both of them panting now.
"I hope you're feeling better now my love". He said with a small smile, bringing Cody closer to him. "Never been better". Cody replied, the first true thing to come out of his mouth that evening.
