Work Text:
Pluey tiptoed through the kitchen for a late night snack. She heard cursing and clunking from Battat's “room”. What is he doing up at this time? It's 2:17…
Pluey gently opened the door and went over to their partner. ‘What ar-’ “AUGH-FU-PLUEY???” ‘shhhh’(said in the way you would play a b flat). Battat was slightly shaking as his partner put her hand over his mouth. He was eather zoned out or half asleep to have that bad of a reaction. ‘Jonglers sleep’ Battat let his mouth free. “then why are you up?” ‘i should ask the same thing to you!’ “im about to crack this mike case!” ‘You said that last week! When was the last time you've slept anyways?’ “like… 3 days.” The room was silent for a moment. ‘How about eaten?’ “i had coffee this morning…” Pluey made a mad expression, well as much as they could for a shadow ‘i mean food’ battat quickly butted in hopes to make the situation better. “and a granola bar.” Pluey got more agitated, that did not make the situation better at all. ‘i mean meals!’ Battat paused for a moment, he genuinely looked like he couldn't remember. Pluey picked him up into their arms and forced him into the living room. “Hey rubberbrain; where are you taking me?!?” ‘You need to eat and sleep or else you're going to get sick and die!’ Battat started thrashing around. “Im not going to die from this plue…(at least I think so)” ‘all that caffeine can't be good for you at all! That's how you get a heart attack!’ Pluey set him down onto the couch. “Were darkners! Do we even have hearts?” Pluey sighed and left the room for a moment.
This is stupid im going back to the board. Battat got up and walked over to the door; then in a foul swoop Battat's feet were off the ground and he was placed back onto the couch with a weighted blanket half his weight. ‘I told you to stay!’ “This is stupid! What’s just a few more… hours?” All of a sudden his body felt heavy and as if it was in a wave pool. He felt an overwhelming sense of relief as if he’d gotten a weight off of everything even though he was drowning in a blanket of the thing. Battat reached his hand to pluey, and managed to grab the palm of her hand… Out like a light, too bad he didn’t eat dinner. I hope he eats something tomorrow. Pluey picked up battat and took him to the bedroom, carefully tucking him in and giving the die a kiss on the forehead and curling up next to him and Jongler. Good night my love.
