   Summary

   Katara knew that stealing was wrong, it was one of the earliest things almost everyone is taught in life. But when she saw a waterbending scroll in the hands of some sleazy pirates, it felt a little less wrong. She had to take it, it was a relic from her people anyways. In a way it belonged to her.

   In hindsight, she should have left the scroll behind and never thought about it again. She never should have slid it into her pocket, and she sure as La never should have practiced with it at night near the waters edge. It was because of this accumulation of poor decisions that she found herself tied to a tree with Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation circling her like she was his next meal.
