Shane narrowed his eyes. “Only when I mix it with something that completely masks the flavor. I actually think straight vodka is disgusting. It tastes like gasoline.”
“Hm,” Ilya hummed, sliding his glass in front of Shane. “Maybe you have just never tried the good stuff. From Russia.” He leaned over to whisper in Shane’s ear. “Do you want a taste?”
“No thanks,” Shane said, turning his head away to get some distance. “I’m actually waiting for someone.”
“Who?” Ilya asked, though it sounded more like a demand than a question.
Shane smirked. “My husband.” He looked Ilya up and down slowly. “And he’s the jealous type so you should be careful.”
