People always wondered what was going on between those two. Who really was Valeriy?
Was he some failing student tasked to look after Mitya for extra points? No, that couldn't be true! Valeriy was an excellent and hardworking student who never missed any classes
Perhaps a cousin of his who has forced to "babysit" him due to a family contract? Mitya already liked sweets and was short, the only thing missing being a pink bunny plush, which to be honest he probably owned. However, that was quickly shut down as they couldn't be close to being related
Wait! How about a shinigami that follows Mitya around campus and-
Ok, why are all of the comparisons just anime refrences?!
Ehem. Despite all the rumors, no one seem to have reached to the right conclusion. In reality, Valeriy wasn't some sort of guard or ominous spirit, he was just Mitya's super clingy and protective boyfriend
Valeriy's classes had been delayed which resulted to him coming back to their shared dorm very later than usual. But that didn't stop him from preparing Mitya dinner (and their roomate Lumine even tho she orders take out most of the week) in his free time
Valeriy hanged up his bag and coat. He was about to go have a shower when he heard voices from Mitya's room. Being the noisy boyfriend he is he went to check it out
He opened the door to find Mitya laying on his bed while on a call with his classmates. Oh right, he had mentioned working on a project that evening
It wasn't unusuall for a tall figure to linger by the doorframe. Upon noticing him, Mitya stopped talking. "Hey, guys, give me a second". He turned towards the door. "You're back!"
"I am" he muttered
The tired look on the taller man's face wasn't hard to miss. Mitya opened his arms inviting Valeriy in.
At first, Valeriy wanted to refuse, he didn't want to interrupt their creative thinking, he had already interrupted them once. However, he hasn't been around his boyfriend the whole day and cuddling with him after a stressful day would be ideal. He couldn't handle being afar from him any longer even it was just a wall apart.
So, he complied. Taking his shoes off, Valeriy slid on the bed and into the other's embrace, wrapping his large arms around Mitya's slim waist, his ear listening to the beating heart underneath it
Mitya's hand found the dark locks of his hair. A soft smile painted his face as Valeriy sighed, relaxing his shoulders after a long day, and closing his eyes
"Sorry yall, big guy over here wanted cuddles" he chuckled. "Anyways, shall we resume?"
Eventually the call ended. The project wasn't near being done and Mitya had planned to meet up with his group at a nearby cafè after classes ended. And everywhere Mitya went Valeriy followed, so they will be seeing more of him as he always invited himself to every outing
Mitya sighed, putting his tablet away and taking off his glasses. "You're not asleep, are you?" he asked.
"No" a mutter replied
"Thought so" he shook his head. "Tell me, Val, do you enjoy science that much?"
"I like hearing you speak" he blurted, his eyes still closed
Mitya's face flashed crimson and he fell silent. For a while there was silence until Valeriy spoke up
"Did you take your supplements today?"
"Mhm. And the dinner you made me"
Valeriy's mouth twitched. "Good"
He was never a man of many words, he'd rather speak through actions. Others would have been annoyed by the constant chasing and clinginess, but Mitya knew that's how Valeriy showed his affection and he couldn't change it for the world
Lumine came home a few hours later after going out to party with some friends. "I'm telling you, Aether you should have been there it was so fun! Vodyanitsa sang beautifully during karaoke and Kinich beat everyone at Just Dance!"
"I know but I had to clean up my dorm or else they would have kicked me off campus!" he groaned. "I can come next time"
"You better-"
"Huh? Lumine is everything okay? You just got cut off"
"Weird, Valeriy usually locks his door" she muttered to herself."Hold on, stay on the line. Lemme go ask Mitya"
Lumine walked towards the science nerd's room knocking lightly on the open door. "Hey, Mitya have you seen-" she paused at the sight in front of her
"Lumine, what's happening?" Aether asked conserned about his twin's reaction.
Without replying she moved her phone to face the duo on the bed. They had been in the same position ever since Valeriy came home, tangled up on each other. It looks like they had fallen asleep, their chests rising in sync
Lumine snapped a photo. "I'm so gonna send this in the group chat"
"Vodyanitsa is so gonna freak out when she sees this lmao. She loves to see them being affectionate towards each other for some reason"
The twins laughed as Lumine exited the room, leaving the two lovebirds enjoy some well deserved sleep
