Summary
He’s quiet, sitting still. I reach for the cigarette, pull it from his fingers and take a long drag, sighing as my lungs are filled and my head clears a little.
“I told you this story once before,” I tell him, smiling at the memory of Elliot rolling around naked in the bed, shaking with mirth, “You laughed so hard you nearly fell off the bed.”
He frowns and stares off in front of him, no doubt surprised to hear he laughed freely around me.
“I wish I could remember.”
