After school ended, Anya rode the school bus and arrives at her stop, with her parents waiting.
"Mama! Papa!" Anya excitingly says as she goes down the bus with the gifts she got from her best friend and frenemy.
"Hello, birthday girl!" Loid greets her. "So how was school today, Anya?"
"It was great, Papa! Anya was given presents!"
"Wow, Anya. What did you get for your birthday?" Yor jumps in, also excited for her step-daughter.
"Becky gave Anya some chocolate covered peanuts so Anya, Mama and Papa could share! Becky also gave Anya the new Spy Wars volume!"
"Wow, Anya! How sweet of her!" Yor replies with a bright smile on her face.
While all of that was happening, Loid notices the stuffed sheep next to her.
"Hey Anya." Loid began. "What about this stuffed animal? Did Becky also give this to you?"
"Oh, Sy-on boy gave it to Anya!" Anya excitingly replies.
"Wah, a boy gave that to you!? That is so sweet of him, Anya!" Yor replied, touched by the fact that a member of the opposite sex gave Anya a present.
Loid on the other hand, was...a bit shocked to say the least.
*Th-That Desmond boy...gave Anya a present!?* A shocked Loid thinks to himself. *D-Does this mean they're friends, already!?!?*
Anya, in her thoughts, was happy that her father was proud that world peace was finally achieved after the whole present fiasco.
*But...wouldn't that mean a boy giving a girl a gift...is a sign of the boy liking her!?* A shocked Loid thinks to himself.
*Pa-Papa!?* Anya thought, completely opposite from the initial reaction she had hoped. Originally thinking he was gonna show a proud face but she ended up getting a distorted one.
