Chapter Text
With the silent movement of a snake and the grace of a lion, the girl dressed in complete white had shown up on the balustrade behind where the Pretender was sitting.
A seedling of hope started to bloom within the braided girl, maybe the other would help her escape this charade or even take care of the Pretender for good!
But nothing happened.
Nothing more than the blank stare the white clad girl gave her, well she couldn't see her eyes behind the wild bangs of the onlookers hair but if she could've seen them then she would most certainly be staring at her.
It was a stare as cold as ice.
She wasn't angry about her closing the door earlier on her was she?
She shook her head, she could worry about possible danger when she had finished the one she had on her plate already.
She croned down and picked up the fallen knife and fork before setting herself straight and tried to "cut" into her "food" when the Pretender suddenly rushed in and slapped her harshly across the right cheek in one fluid motion.
"That one is dirty! Don't you dare use it!" she almost roared in barely suppressed rage.
"Sir Benji doesn't need his, right?" she crooked her neck and looked at the doll closest to her as if she was expecting an answer.
After some time had passed she thanked the doll for its generousness and good will in front of the newer guest and placed the new cutlery in front of her "guest" before walking back to her seat.
While the Pretender started smalltalking with the other "guests" about nonsense, the girl found herself staring at the white clad one.
A smile had formed on the uncovered part of her face and her left arm had lazily propped on the railing of the balustrade while the right arm was hanging loose next to her jumping up and down slowly, idly scratching her leg she assumed.
She allowed herself to dive into the hopeful thoughts again, the hopes that she would help her escape the current predicament and that they could escape, maybe even together, from this hellish place.
She was so deep in thought that only the metallic clank of her knife and fork dropping managed to snap her back.
And if that didn't fully bring her back the harsh slap across her left cheek definitely brought her back.
In the background the white clad girl opened her mouth in a silent gasp and continued her doing, while the braided one tried to focus on the danger berating her and not the oddities of her potential savior.
"I told you earlier that i will not tolerate such idiotic clumsiness!" she screamed and all the faux posh seemed as fast gone as her, probably the only real thing on and inside her,"friendly" nature at the beginning of the "dinner".
"Pick them back up" she slowly said and pointed towards the fallen silverware.
The brownhaired girl quickly obliged and placed the items back onto the table where the white haired one immediately swept them off the table using her lower arm.
"Oh i am so sorry for that!" she said in a sarcastic manner and gestured towards the ground.
She picked them up once more and it seemed to satisfy the demand of the pale pretender but as she was about to turn around and leave a thought hit her braided victim.
If she would turn around she would inevitably spot the white clad girl! If she would wear something darker she would've blended in perfectly but with the bright white of her shirt and shorts she stood out like a lit christmas tree in June, not to mention her movements which had intensified.
She had long given up on the thought that she was just itching herself and thought of her doing something completely different, but quickly threw that one away as it was too far out of the blue.
So a distraction for her distraction had to appear and she had just the plan for it,even if it probably meant getting hurt… a lot.
"How come you're such a chatterbox? All you do is yap continuously and endlessly while i sit here nice and mannerful and only talk when spoken to?" she spoke in a tone that was supposed to be rebellious and purposefully enraging but came out as a whisper.
Doesn't mean that it missed its target though.
The Pretender whipped around, her face being a mask of unrepressed anger and becoming so red that it even started to shine through the heavy layering of makeup.
With a gutteral screech she jumped forwards and slammed the head of the girl who dared to talk to her this way onto the table and the plate in front of her, commenting every slam with a sentence fragment.
"YOU…UNGRATEFUL…UNWORTHY…" she stumbled backwards as if realizing what she was doing.
She,slowly, gently this time, lifted up her guests head and carefully examined her dazed face.
The plate had been shattered in the first slam and the consecutive ones had cut up her forehead quite badly so that blood gently drizzled down her face and into her unfocused eyes.
Well unfocused to the Pretender but actually they were directly focused onto the black haired girl in her line of sight.
"I am trustworthy, please" she tried to send her using her gaze but the one looked at was either to busy tending to herself or did see her and ignored her out of spite and…revenge? Was this it?
She slowly set herself up,ignoring the thousands of apologies and empty set phrases the Pretender threw at her,and wiped her eyes in order to clear her vision of the red bloody filter they had taken on and thought.
Thought of a thing to say that would both reach her white-clad hope but also not make the Pretender suspicious about a potential.
"I'm…I'm really sorry i closed that door of friendliness despite you only showing me kindness and hospitality" she stumbled out but atleast managed to talk somewhat clearly and loudly, ignoring how it made her head throb and ache.<
The Pretender quirked a suprised brow "Its nice to see that you have come to your senses" she said in a pleased tone of voice and tried to turn around but the girl's hand grabbed hers and pulled her closer.
"And i hope that we can go back to being friends again" she said and glanced over her captors shoulder to see that the blackhaired girl's head resting on the railing, and even though her head layed sideways she could see the absolute content across her face.
"Great you came, now come down here and help me" she thought grimmly.
A sharp pain against her chest brought her back to reality.
The reality of the Pretenders Face close to hers that is.
"What are you staring at? There's someone else here isn't it?"
She didn't even seem to hear the silent thud that came when the girl clad in white landed on the carpeted part of the floor.
In a low, crouched position she slowly inched closer, one hand oddly outstretched ,finger bent slightly and a smirk of anticipation on her lips.
"Tell me! Is someone else he-"
Her sentence was interupted by the girl in white jumping on her back and dragging her nails across her throat which left suprisingly big marks and left the Pretender stumbling against a Bookshelf.
The braided girl stared in disbelief before slowly getting closer.
"Tha-Thanks" she mumbled, still drawn to the bleeding body of her former captor.
"Don't thank me,i would've done this anyway" her savior said in a low gruff tone and crossed her arms.
"I'm really sorry about the door thing earl-"
"Yeah, yeah just remember it next time alright?"
The braided girl smiled "Don't worry i will"
"Hand on it?" the other girl extended her hand.
"Alright" her hand was weirdly moist and it took her a second before she realized why it was that way.
She gagged and pulled her hand away while the other girl grinned maliciously.
She grabbed a napkin to wipe her hands before an idea struck her.
She knelt down next to the Pretender's body and wiped her hand on the shoulder of her dress while grinning.
"Come on Rapunzel,we don't have all day" her unexpected friend whisper-yelled from behind her and sprinted off.
"Rapunzel? I have an actual name yknow?" The girl in the yellow raincoat said and sprinted off as well.
They were long gone when the body of the Pretender started to twitch.
Her hands slightly twitched before she starting spitting up some blood.
"Fffff-fucking cunts"
