"Why are we fashion scrounging again?" Six asked with a yawn, preferring instead to still be in bed, especially since it wasn't even morning yet.
Viola rolled her eyes. "I already told you. We've been kinda mean to da- Mono as of late, so I figured we could find him a gift to try and smooth things over."
Six resisted the temptation to blow a raspberry right in Viola's face. Mono was a dummy who usually deserved the ire he received. But whatever, it wasn't as if she was the one putting in the work to pull out the individual hats for further consideration.

Viola quirked an eyebrow. Save for vegetables, which she and Mono both knew never to offer since Six hated them with a passion, her dour reaction was quite odd. "Well what'd you steal exactly?"

"...Eggnog," Six called back after a long, drawn out swallow.
Mono perked up, picking up his pace, worried. Did she mean eggnog? Odd red color aside, that stuff had alcohol, and he didn't want Six to develop worse habits than her already violent tendencies, given the constant dangers they still struggled against. "Where in the world did you fi- oh my God in heaven!"
