Carina finally walked through the door of their home absolutely exhausted from her day. She sighed in relief thinking about finally be able to curl up in Mayas arms. When she walked in the bedroom she saw Maya sitting against the headboard smiling at her with Luana cuddling into her right side and Marcello on her left. They were both already in dreamland.
"Hi love" Maya whispered.
Carina smiled weakly at her before the tears were streaming down her cheeks and she slowly slid down the door.
Maya gently but quickly laid their bambini down before walking over to her girl getting down on her knees and gently cupped her cheek looking into Carinas eyes.
"Baby?"
"I am so exhausted but I didn't want to interrupt your cuddle sessions with our little loves" she sniffled.
Maya gently took Carinas hand guiding her to the bed. She laid down and instantly Luana cuddled into Mayas side and Maya brought Marcello to her other side before reaching out for Carina. Carina crawled into Mayas arms holding onto her tightly and resting her head on Mayas chest listening to her heartbeat. Maya stroked Carinas hair and felt her love finally calming down.
"Our cuddle time is not complete without you baby"
Carina looked up with fresh tears in her eyes.
"I am sorry."
"What why baby?"
"Because I am exhausted and a mess and just wanted to cuddle in your arms but then I saw you and didn't want that you have to make room for me and I realized that I am pathetic and that our bambini need you more than me and now I am rambling and..."
Maya sat up bringing Carina with her and rested her forehead against Carinas.
"Love stop there for a second please. Never call my girl pathetic and a mess because that's not true. You are human and exhausted. You are right our bambini need us more in a different kind of way because we are their mommies but that doesn't mean that you can't need me or I can't need you because you know what baby yes mostly you don't need me because you are my badass girl BUT you know what it means to me that sometimes you need me and just want to hold you the same way I need you because that shows me that this right here (Maya rested her hand at first on Carinas heart and then on hers) is real and it is pure and it is ours. This is love baby and I never want that to change.
A teary smile broke out on Carinas face.
"Grazie mille bambina"
"How do you always say I didn't do anything all I do is loving you love." Maya smiled.
"How do you do it?"
"What"
"Always saying the right thing making me feel so loved in a second that I know I am safe holding me and loving me how you you do it?"
"I learned from the best baby." Maya kissed her with a smile before leaning back.
"And it's you love it's you how could I not love you? I would so much more than a how do you call it 'stupido'."
Carina laughed before falling into Mayas arms nestling into her neck.
Maya laid back down with Carina careful of the two kids by her sides who were now cuddling into Maya but reaching out their hands for their mamma holding onto her shirt.
"Do you remember the day where you came back from your conference and we picked you up from the airport and had cuddle time with Luana in the couch?"
"Si." Carina said with a tired voice.
"There will always be enough place for you and all our bambini in my arms."
Carina smiled cuddling more into Maya now with her head over Mayas heart kissing her there.
"Ti amo tantissimo bambina."
"I love you soooo much love."
