It truly was the 'blackest' of Friday's.
Claire watched as the ER filled to the brim with reckless idiots who care more about the sale of a 65' inch TV more than there own life. She didn't blame them though, she remembers her early med school years where she scrambled to get to the nearest Best Buy for a cheep laptop.
Unlike the air-headed civilians groaning in stretchers, she can confirm her mission was successful.
"Jesus christ..." Morgan sighed, taking off her fifth pair of gloves and throwing them in the trash bin. Her hands were still busy as she moved to pick up the tablet and cross off an in-bed patient she recently discharged.
"I hear you." Claire propped her head up on her elbows, leaning against the nurses station. "Dr. Browne, there's a patient in bed 4 with a head lack," one of the nurses called for her and she groaned louder than the men who missed out on their Playstation 5. "How- doesn't matter." She started to ask, realizing half way through she didn't want to know.
"I hate people," Morgan claimed, not looking up from her tablet. "No regard for themselves or others," She raised an eyebrow and tilted her head, a motion Claire dubbed as iconic considering her smart ass antics lingered around everyday. "That's ironic." Claire smirked, but she knew Morgan was better than anyone she's helped out today.
Morgan finally looked up and glared at the brunette. "I have priorities, and I'm not an idiot." Claire chuckled and took the tablet. "Sure thing," She began to look up her patient and internally grinned at how she managed to bug her 'rival'.
Morgan scoffed as Claire started to make her way to bed 4. Claire liked Morgan, and she was well aware of how proper the blonde was, never in her life would she expect to see her in the same situation as her current patient.
She was just special.
