Chapter Text
Porsche sipped on his warm glass mug which held his equally boiling tea, wincing as the tip burnt his tongue. You would think that after all these times of drinking tea, he would have learned his lesson by waiting a bit for it to cool down. Well, he hadn’t, and he never thought that he could get used to drinking it in general but after snagging a wealthy mafia heir of a boyfriend, things change.
The silent room was accompanied by the fast tapping of his sock clad feet while he was just sitting and looking ahead, not in a specific direction. The creaking of the large wooden door caught his attention, causing him to turn his upper body so fast that some of the tea dripped onto his soft pyjama pants. Hissing through his teeth, Porsche glanced up at the cause of his disturbance only to see Kinn standing a few metres away from him wearing an amused expression.
“Not that I’m not surprised to see you awake,” Kinn spoke as he dropped himself across the glass table, pouring his own cup of tea. “But you’re not the one to grace the halls with your presence at this time of the night.”
Porsche rolled his eyes at Kinn’s smirk, putting his cup down. “For your information, I’m waiting for Chay.”
“Isn’t he out?” Kinn looked confused, making his boyfriend narrow his eyes at him in anger.
“You knew!” He whisper-yelled, trying his best not to wake up the sleeping members of the house, even though there was a small chance of that happening given the size of the mansion. “He didn’t show up to dinner, and then I was told that he left without informing the guards! And you didn’t think to tell me?”
Kinn shifted his eyes guiltily, knowing that he kept such a huge thing from his boyfriend. “Chay told me not to tell you,” he mumbled. “He said something about a date-”
“A date?” Porsche was bewildered, his eyes wide and he felt like his eyebrows were going to touch his hairline. “Why didn’t he want to tell me?”
Kinn raised his own perfectly shaped eyebrow. “I wonder why he didn’t tell you when your feet are planted on the ground so hard, you might as well run the floor through.” He breathed out a sigh, softening when Porsche glared at him. “Babe, you freak out whenever Chay comes home a minute later than planned. He probably thought you were going to worry more than usual, and then threaten the heck out of his date. You can be too overprotective of him sometimes.”
Porsche snorted at Kinn’s words, right when he took a large sip, making the hot tea go up his nose and burn his tongue. He pulled away immediately, making the contents spill even more on his lap and causing Kinn to chortle. “I’m overprotective?” He asked, pulling out a napkin to wipe at his mess. He grimaced at the now cold, wet spot on his pants. “Please, you dote on him more than I do.” He wrinkled his nose, “When it was his first day of his second semester, you tried to push back all your meetings so you could follow him around all day.”
Kinn’s smirk disappeared with a glare. “I wanted to know if he was going to be alright,” he snapped.
It was silent until Kinn spoke again. “Chay had a date and he asked me if he looked okay. He looked so nervous, I thought it was his first date but actually, they went out like three times already.”
Porsche’s eyebrows rose. His brother didn’t even tell him that he was going out with someone, wow talk about being hurt. So does that mean he’s been sneaking out this entire time?
“Do you know who this person is?”
Kinn shook his head as he finally stood up and reached his hand out to Porsche, who took his hand with a sigh. With their hands intertwined, they walked back to their room. “He never said, and I didn’t want to pry, because I feel like already with this life, it can be too much with everyone looking over your shoulder. He should have at least some sort of freedom.”
Porsche fell more in love with Kinn, seeing how much he cared for Chay. Since the brothers only had each other, they were super close; and after he met Kinn, Porsche had hoped that his brother and boyfriend would get along. They did, but he loved even more that Chay had another brother in Kinn, and even in Tankhun; he had extra people to care for him just like he deserved.
“Alright,” Porsche grumbled, “I guess I won’t push him for now.” He furrowed his brows. “I expect to be meeting this date soon.”
Kinn chuckled and shook his head as they crossed through the empty courtyard to get to their part of the house. He was admiring the lights that decorated the dark yard, even though he had seen it multiple times, when they heard a yell on the opposite side of the yard. He fought a groan; all he wanted to do was go to sleep at a reasonable hour, was that really too much to ask?
Being the heir of a mafia family, his hand instinctively reached for the gun that was strapped by his belt, and his arm went out around Porsche’s stomach. However, there weren’t any guards that were swarming to the area where the noise was coming from, so the pair, calmly yet cautiously, made their way to the other side of the yard where the entrance was, only to see Kim, Macau, and Chay.
-
It’s warm when Kim presses his lips against his cheek, and Chay lets out a giggle. He’s been doing that a lot lately, giggling, but he wasn’t sure if it was nerves or if he was just excited, or maybe both. It was their third date, and he was having the best time.
Kim picked him up from the house and thankfully, he was able to sneak past the guards… well for the most part. He ran into Kinn on his way out who saw him as he was about to leave through the unguarded door in the back garden. He didn’t see the point in lying to Kinn. He didn’t want to lie to him. The older man, who he now saw as another older brother, was understanding and let him go, not without saying that he wanted to meet the person he was going out with. Little did he know, Kinn already knew him.
Chay hated keeping things from his brother, but he knew that he would only freak out and be unnecessarily overbearing, although Chay knew that he meant well.
Once Chay met up with Kim, who was leaning against one of his fancy sports cars, he was swept up in the older man’s strong arms. “Finally,” Kim murmured against the collar of Chay’s shirt, causing the younger man to giggle.
“It wasn’t that long,” Chay argued, his lips falling into a slight pout, which turned back up into a shy smile when Kim pulled back to lift a stray piece of hair behind Chay’s ear.
“It was long enough,” Kim sighed playfully, pressing a quick kiss to his forehead before letting go and opening the door for him.
They went to dinner at a nice restaurant, but it wasn’t too fancy that Chay felt uncomfortable. Kim seemed to never want to let go of Chay’s hand, which was sweet but also served to be a nuisance when he needed two hands to cut through his food.
Once their dinner was over (and after Kim paid), they went for a short walk through a nearby park, wanting to prolong their date as long as possible. Chay bit back a sigh; it was their third date and he and Kim texted each other during every waking moment of everyday (they even sent each other voice memos), but neither of them mentioned anything about them going forward. They basically acted as if they were a couple, but it wasn't official. Chay wanted them to be official so badly.
They talked about keeping things on the down low for now, because Kim didn’t want his brothers to be involved. He wasn't so worried about Kinn, but once Tankhun found out, he would never know a moment of peace. And poor Chay, who lived with him, would surely never be able to experience privacy again.
Chay understood, but he was pretty sure that he was going to die if he had to spend less than 10 minutes with Kim inside the mansion. Again.
“When can I see you again?” Kim asked, caging Chay against his car door with both arms on either side. They just got back from their date and the car was parked on the farthest driveway across the gardens. The parking lot hadn’t been used in years, so Kim wasn’t worried about anyone finding them.
“When do you want to see me?” Chay asked, his eyes wide as he tilted his head adorably and his lips were pressed together in a soft pout. Wow, his angel was adorable. Just like every image of Chay, he wanted it ingrained in his brain forever.
“As soon as possible.”
“Then,” Chay whispered, stepping closer in Kim’s embrace. He casted his eyes downward, making Kim follow his movement, his eyes falling onto his plush lips. “It’s a good thing I’m not leaving yet.”
Out of the both of them, Kim was the bold one, so Chay thought it was about time that he made the first move. With his heart beating at an alarmingly fast rate, Chay reached out with his shaking hands to grasp onto Kim’s shoulders to make sure that he wasn’t going to pull away.
He didn’t, so with a bated breath, Chay clamped his eyes shut and pressed his trembling lips against Kim’s. The older man’s entire body felt stiff.. His body was tense and so was his mouth and he didn’t move, making Chay’s heart plummet into his stomach. Was he reading this wrong? Maybe he was moving too fast, and he didn’t even ask if Kim was okay with it.
Feeling like an absolute idiot, Chay pulled away, daring not to make eye-contact with Kim. He made a total fool out of himself in front of him, again. When was he ever going to learn? He tried his best to not cry in front of Kim, who was desperately trying to get Chay to look at him.
“Chay, angel, please look at me,” Kim’s gentle voice made it so difficult to not listen to him, but Chay was quite adamant to not make himself look like an even bigger idiot, so he stayed put. “Angel, please,” he huffed fondly and finally held Chay’s soft cheeks in his hands.
When Chay hesitantly met Kim’s eyes, he was surprised to see that the older man looked at him fondly. There was not an ounce of malice or disgust there, and that brought some relief to Chay. Mostly, it made him confused.
“Angel, don’t be embarrassed,” he huffed out a small laugh when Chay’s cheeks reddened, and he put more force into his grip when Chay tried to pry himself out of his hold. “I’m not joking, Chay.” Kim’s voice became serious, though he looked gentle. “I don’t know what you’re thinking in that pretty head of yours, but whatever it is causing you to look at me like that, it’s wrong.”
He thinks my head is pretty?
“I’ve been thinking about you nonstop,” his voice deepened into a low whisper. “Ever since you bumped into me-” excuse me, but you bumped into me “-in the hallway, all I could think about you, every day, every night, when I wake up, when I go to sleep, you. All I see is you.” He let go of his right hand that was resting on Chay’s cheek, dragging his thumb on the smooth skin until it was pressed against his bottom lip.
“You really think I didn’t want this,” he emphasised his point by putting more pressure on his thumb. “If you gave me a second to process this, angel,” he whispered, suddenly so close that Chay could feel his hot breath against his face. He was suddenly aware of Kim’s hands on his face, and he wanted them to touch him everywhere. “You would be embarrassed for another reason.” He got even closer. “Because,” he dropped his left hand to hold the back of Chay’s neck, bringing him just a centimetre away from Kim. The younger man had a hard time concentrating his eyes, with them going back and forth from Kim’s eyes and lips. “It would be very obvious what you have been up to.”
Chay’s cheeks and ear burned from the implications of his words, whilst his body felt a thrill. He yearned for Kim’s promise, he needed Kim to kiss him otherwise he’ll die.
He let out a relieved breath when the older man grasped his right hand around his jaw and kept his left hand around his neck and finally kissed him. Chay felt his body relax as he leaned into Kim, and he lifted his hands shakily to his neck. Kissing Kim felt exactly what he thought it would be like, and also the complete opposite. The older man handled him expertly, just like Chay expected him to, by lowering his hand from Chay’s jaw to his waist and pulling him closer. The younger man gasped at the sudden movement, allowing Kim to smile around Chay’s mouth before slotting their lips together again.
At the same time, Kim’s hands around him were featherlight along with the pressure of his lips. He was half expecting Kim to handle him in the same way he ripped his shirt off in that one Instagram reel that quite literally broke the internet. However, he was sure no matter how long they kissed (he hoped they would never stop), he would only feel the slight swelling of his lips.
Chay hummed as he tilted his head up and brushed the tip of his nose against Kim’s prominent cheekbone.
“Woah.”
Chay’s eyes widened, and he jumped at the foreign voice, (unfortunately) pulling away from Kim’s plush lips. He turned to the person, with mild annoyance pulsing through him, only to see a man around his age. The man was about his height with thick dark brows and short hair. He had soft facial features which were emphasised by his cheeks that were adorned with baby fat.
Chay turned to face Kim, who was staring down at him with heavily lidded eyes. His lips were swollen red from their earlier session and his hair was hanging in front of his face, making his blown-out pupils stand out even more. Chay could feel himself being drawn to him again.
“Please, at least spare my eyes this time,” the man interrupted. Chay didn’t even realise that he and Kim found themselves about to kiss again. He pulled away with an embarrassed eep when their lips were about to brush against each other.
He glanced at Kim, who looked annoyed at their interruption, with his blushing cheeks, which inflamed even more when he was pulled into his strong arms. With him standing in front of Kim, and his back pressed against his chest, he was able to get a better view of this stranger who was staring at them with a mixture of amusement and disgust.
“Ah,” he nodded, and the ends of his lips curved up into a mischievous smirk. He eyed the way Chay and Kim’s hands were entangled on Chay’s chest. “Clearly I was interrupting something.”
Chay felt Kim’s chest rumble when he spoke, “what do you want, Macau?”
The man -Macau- only laughed. “So I was interrupting something. I think I did a favour to anyone who’ll watch the cameras.”
Seriously, who was this guy?
Macau’s eyes went up, so Chay assumed that he was looking at Kim, and busted out into laughter once more. “I swear, it’s so easy to get you riled up.”
His eyes went to Chay. “Are you guys dating?”
Chay unconsciously tightened his hold on Kim’s hand, feeling the cool metal of the rings press into his skin. “Uh…yes?” He wanted to smack himself, but he honestly did know what to say.
“Are you okay?”
“Uh…what?” His eyes were so wide, they felt like they were about to pop out of his head.
“Well, I don’t think you could be sane if you’re dating my cousin,” Macau replied, and suddenly, the teasing tilt to his voice made sense.
This was Kim’s cousin.
“Ah,” he forced out a laugh as Macau reached out his hand for Chay to shake. When their hands met, the other man smirked and pulled on their joined hands, making Chay fall out of Kim’s hold. “You know,” Macau spoke, lowering his voice. He raked his eyes over Chay’s body slowly, making the other man’s breath catch uncomfortably. “If you ever get tired of him,” he nodded towards his cousin behind them, “I’m sure that I can show you a better time.” He winked.
Chay giggled nervously, desperately wanting to go back into Kim’s arms, but when he tried to let go, Macau only tightened his grip and twisted his wrist so that their fingers became intertwined. “Don’t be so nervous, I’m sure that we’ll get closer overtime.” He pulled their hands closer to his mouth and Chay could feel the warmth of his breath on his knuckles, making his stomach churn.
Kim, having had enough, growled with frustration, and reached out to separate them, swiftly moving Chay behind him. “Don’t touch him,” he hissed. He had lines in the middle of his brows from how hard he was furrowing them, and he was gripping Macau’s wrist so tightly that Chay was sure that he was going to leave marks.
“My, my, possessive, are we?” Macau only sniggered, and Chay wondered if he had a death wish.
Kim, with his teeth bared, was about to jump on his cousin, but thankfully was stopped by Chay, who pulled him back. “P’Kim, let’s go inside.” Macau’s laugh was echoing through the empty lot.
“Stupid brat,” the older man mumbled under his breath as he turned but softened once the beautiful boy was in his view. Chay offered him a soft smile and leaned forward to kiss his cheek, making Kim’s inside melt into mush.
“He’s just kidding,” Chay said as he placed his chin onto Kim’s chest, after wrapping his arms around his waist. Kim only grumbled, leaning down to peck Chay’s fluffy hair.
“What on earth is going on?”
Chay’s eyes widened when he heard the most familiar voice, a voice that he knew like the back of his hand. He snapped his head to Porsche, who was standing next to Kinn, hand-in-hand. In panic, he let go of his arms around Kim’s waist and tried to pull himself away, only for the other man to pull him right back into his arms. Chay let out an embarrassed sound and tried to keep his eyes away from his brother.
Kim answered for them by starting off with a shrug. “Your cousin was bothering us.”
Kinn snorted and rolled his eyes, with them straying for a split second on his youngest brother’s arms around Porsche’s brother. Eventually, he schooled his expression and continued. “Our cousin knows nothing else.”
Macau only smirked and winked at Chay, causing Kim to glare at him.
“He’s only mad at me,” Macau quirked up an edge of his mouth, “because I interrupted him and his boyfriend.”
“Boyfriend?” Both Kinn and Porsche asked.
Porsche looked at Kinn with a look that said, “did you know about this?”, only for the other man to shake his head. This was the last thing he was expecting. All he knew was that Chay was going on a date, with who turned out to be his brother. When did said date become boyfriend?
When did this happen?
“When did this happen?” Porsche voiced, starting out calm but ending with a spot of anger.
A part of him tried to be calm, but the other part of him (the larger protective part) was fighting not to go into big-brother mode. All he could think was how young Chay was to be in a relationship. And he wanted to punch the arrogant smirk off of the man who had his arms around his precious baby brother. The person who just so happened to be Kinn’s brother.
“I-uh,” Chay stuttered as his cheeks became pink.
“Why don’t we go inside, and then talk, angel?” Kim asked, and Porsche fought the urge to hurl. Chay, however, thought otherwise, by the way he stared at the youngest Theerapanyakun with heart-eyes. Kim turned to the older couple with a smirk. “Let’s go, I don’t want my boyfriend to get cold.” With a final nod, he pulled Chay, and, like Kinn and Porsche, they walked hand-in-hand into the house.
“I’ll just stay out here, then,” Macau called out after them but neither of them paid him mind. They never even asked why he showed up to the main house in the first place, but they also didn’t care enough to ask.
The four of them found themselves in a room Porsche and Chay had never been in before. The second the youngest Kittisawat walked in, he got a whiff of sandalwood and vanilla, and immediately knew that they were in Kim’s room. Wow, a room that smelled just like his boyfriend, all he wanted to do was jump on the large king-sized bed and snuggle into the sheets until he smelled entirely like Kim.
Just the idea made his ears turn into a lovely shade of pink, making Kim smirk at him as if he knew exactly what the younger man was thinking. Chay looked away before their brothers caught sight of him and asked questions.
“So,” Porsche started, the second they sat down. He and Kinn were sitting on the dark brown leather loveseat across from Kim and Chay, who were sitting on the end of Kim’s bed. Porsche looked disapprovingly when his brother was pulled along by Kim, but he decided to keep silent instead. The faster he knew about Chay’s new boyfriend, the faster he can get peace of mind. “How did this,” he gestured between them, “start?”
Chay was the first one to answer. “Oh!” He lit up at the chance to tell his brother about meeting Kim. “Remember when I told you that there was a cute guy at university? Turns out that it was P’Kim!” Chay’s eyes basically disappeared with how wide he was smiling.
However, the two eldest men didn’t share his excitement when all they could remember was Chay leaving the school upset because the guy he liked yelled at him.
“You!” Porsche yelled, standing up and pointing at Kim. It was so sudden that Chay jumped at the noise, and Kinn cursed under his breath before pulling Porsche down back next to him. He turned to Chay with a bewildered look on his face. “That ‘cute guy’ was also the one who made you so upset? Are you mad, Chay?” Porsche hoped that he at least had better influence on Chay with picking guys but seeing that he himself chose Kinn of all people, that didn’t seem so likely.
Kim looked flustered for a split second whereas Chay looked annoyed. “Hia,” he whined, “P’Kim apologised to me. If you would have let me finish, then you would have known that.” He rolled his eyes. “P’Kim came to the house and when we saw each other, he apologised to me, and I forgave him. We’re all good now.”
No we’re not , thought Porsche, and Chay glared at him having known what his brother was thinking.
“We’re all good now, hia,” Chay stressed, his tone declaring finality.
Kim looked proudly at the younger man standing up to his brother for him, though he didn’t need it. He and Chay shared a look. He smirked when the younger man blushed and turned away shyly. Kim’s smirk widened as he threw his arm around Chay’s shoulders and brought him closer to him, before pressing a kiss to his head.
Porsche’s face soured at the action in front of him, and Kinn lightly tapped his leg to pull him out of it. Porsche didn’t look at him, but instead kept his eyes on the younger couple. He could see Chay looking at his boyfriend (the word put a bitter taste in Porsche’s mouth) with heart-eyes, but he was relieved to see that Kim was equally besotted with him.
He still didn’t like the idea of Kim yelling at Chay, but if Chay said that he apologised and that everything was fine now, then Porsche had no choice but to believe him.
“Alright, but if you ever,” he glared at Kim, “ever raise a decibel above normal volume at my brother, I will rip your vocal cords out.” He ignored Chay’s squawking protests as he continued. “Chay tells me you’re a singer, so I think that tissue is important to you.”
Kinn glanced at Porsche with a tired expression, and Porsche hit him on the shoulder fondly. “I don’t know why you’re looking at me like that when you’re the one who was so bent on tracking the kid down and putting a gun to his head.”
Now, it was Kinn’s turn for his cheeks to turn scarlet before schooling his face and looking at his brother pointedly. “And I’d still do the same,” he said, causing Kim to roll his eyes.
“Now, if this is it, we must go to bed.” Kinn pulled up Porsche by the hand. “And I suggest that you two do the same.”
“In separate bedrooms!” Porsche added before Kinn dragged him out of the room.
Once they were alone, Chay let out a large breath and pressed himself closer to Kim, pushing him down on the mattress, so they were cuddling. “That… was an experience,” Kim commented, following with a chuckle.
Chay only huffed and slapped him on the chest lightly, and Kim snatched onto his hand before bringing it to his chest. He pressed a kiss on it. “Don’t be embarrassed, angel. They’re only protective of you, and rightfully so.”
Chay pouted up at him. “I know, but this is why I didn’t want to tell hia.”
“I know, angel, but I don’t blame them, you are a wonder.”
Chay blushed and hid his head in his chest. After a few silent moments, Chay peeked his large brown eyes up at him. “P’Kim?”
Kim hummed with his eyes closed and his left hand unconsciously raking through Chay’s curls.
“You called me your boyfriend earlier.”
Kim’s thick lashes fluttered as he opened his eyes. He groaned, leaning on his side and pulling Chay to his chest. “Mmm, that I did.”
“Why? Don’t you want to be?” Concerned pooled in his eyes as he reached out to stroke Chay’s forehead. The younger man leaned into his touch and shook his head with a small smile.
“The complete opposite actually.”
“Good,” Kim smirked and leaned in to kiss Chay but was stopped by soft skin on his lips. He opened his eyes to see Chay’s hand in front of his mouth and the man smirking, his eyes twinkling mischievously.
“But,” Chay prompted, removing his hand so he could press their foreheads together. “If you want me to be your boyfriend, then you ask me to be your boyfriend.”
Now, it was Kim’s turn to smirk. His insides pooled with heat seeing Chay’s dark pupils enlarge, and he lowered his hands to grab onto Chay’s waist. “Oh? Is that so?”
Chay only giggled and nodded, his curls dropping in front of his forehead.
“As you wish, angel,” Kim murmured before pressing their lips together.
