"I can't believe you bought a trampoline," Sarah sighs. Out of all the people she lives with, Erica is the one she'd least expect to do something like this.
"It's a tiny indoor one. Sue me for wanting to have some fun," Erica replies, ripping open the box. It's already almost completely out together, so it doesn't take long to prepare.
Once Sarah gets over the initial shock, it's kind of fun. They make a parkour course, bouncing from Sarah's bed to the trampoline to the couch cushions she dragged upstairs and placed on the ground. It's like a game of 'The Floor is Lava', except they can both turn into bats and it wouldn't matter whatsoever if the floor really were lava.
They incorporate that into the course, too, placing a throw pillow on a high shelf as a bat landing pad. The trick is switching back mid-air as they go to land on Sarah's bed so they can immediately bounce from it to the trampoline.
They spend what must be hours bouncing around and laughing until their sides and stomachs hurt.
"I think I see the appeal now!" Sarah laughs, collapsing onto her bed.
"This is the best purchase I've ever made," Erica proclaims, falling down next to Sarah. "I'm gonna drop out and quit my jobs just to bounce on my trampoline all day."
"Sounds like a plan." Sarah tilts her head to meet Erica's eyes, and she thinks she's going to be riding this high for a while. There's nothing like some good, childish fun.
