Shoto wakes up at 9:00, reasonable for being a Saturday. He checks the notifications from his brother.
Natsu: yo! Did you finish the video?
I’m streaming at around 10:00 tonight and I’ll definitely shout out the upload then
But I can also announce it on my Twitter and discord whenever you want
Shoto: I finished it, I still need to upload it. When’s a good time to do that?
Natsu: uhhhhh well maybe like 2:00 or 3:00?
Shoto: Ok, I’ll upload it at 3:00. You can announce it on your Twitter if you want ig.
Natsu: DONE AND DONE
Shoto finishes his conversation as he gets dressed. Setting his phone down only when pulling over his white sweater and when he buttons his jeans after failing to do it with one hand.
‘Ok, now to do Saturday things. Oh but first.’
He sets a reminder for himself at 2:55 to upload his video. He walks down to the kitchen and finds Bakugo making breakfast for everyone as usual, but still complaining about it even though he just does it himself without being asked anymore. Shoto grabs his cat plate Tsu got him and grabs some of the French Toast.
As Shoto sits down at his usual spot next to the window for breakfast, he overhears Kaminari’s very passionate conversation with the Bakusquad, minus the Baku and plus the Uraraka?
“DUDES, Natsunami has announced his little brother is gonna start his own channel!”
Kaminari is beaming and little zaps of electricity are flying off of him.
“OMG, I’m so glad I Let you boys convert me and Uraraka because Natsunami is hot but WOW his brother just sounds so CUTE!”
While the group continues unknowingly fangirling over Shoto, SHOTO is sitting there hearing every word of it.
‘Shit my classmates watch my brother, WHICH MEANS THEYRE GOING TO AT LEAST SEE MY FIRST VIDEO.’
He wanted a black hole to open up and swallow him whole right then and there. Should he just say never mind and not post it? No he already said he would and he is NOT backing down. They haven’t noticed that that Celsius’s voice and his voice are the same, and he doesn’t really speak anyways so it’ll be fiiiine.
As the day goes on Shoto was slightly more aware today since his classmates watching him gave him anxiety. This made things worse because not only does he keep hearing more of his peers talking about it, but he finds that every single one of his classmates are going to watch him and that Kaminari and Sero had converted his entire class into being viewers of his brother weeks ago.
‘Fuuuuck ok ok, this is fine. The video will go up they’ll watch it and it’ll be mediocre and that’s fine because then they won’t remember much.’
*BUZZ BUZZ*
Shit it’s 2:55, which means he has to post the video.
He opens up his computer, looks at his video ready to be uploaded.
“…Whatever it’s not the end of the world just get over it.”
He uploads it. A few minutes pass.
‘Ok not that bad. It wasn’t as big of a deal as I thought. I’m was truly overreacting. There’s plenty of videos on the internet that are ba-‘
“KYAAAA!!” A loud high pitched squeal comes from the common rooms.
‘Shit is someone hurt?!’
Shoto runs down the steps into the common room to find everyone there and a squealing Kirishima on the couch.
“HE POSTED IT!”
Oh, it was about his video wasn’t it?
“YOO, LETS ALL WATCH IT TOGETHER!”
“FUCK OFF IM NOT SITTING ALL KUMBAYA WITH YOU ALL TO OBSESS OVER A VOICE WITHOUT A FACE!”
Shoto felt the same though definitely for different reasons.
“Nonsense Bakugo! This is something we all enjoy and we should take advantage of this group bonding!”
‘Damnit Iida, why?’
So Shoto just has to let himself get dragged to the couch.
“Todoroki-Kun! You a fan of Natsunami too?”
Uraraka unintentionally calls him out from literally the other side of this big couch.
“Oh woah that’s manly! And those two didn’t even need to convert you!”
“We didn’t convert, just enlightened.”
“SHUT IT TAPE ARMS THIS IS A DAMN CULT!”
As the Bakusquad engages in their banter, Shoto pulls out a response that is his last ditch attempt at having an excuse to not sit through this.
A quiet “I don’t know what this is.” Comes out of Shoto’s mouth and it’s over.
“WHAAAAT!!!??!? Oh Todoroki you have missed so much. Don’t worry I’ll explain.”
Kaminari stares into Todoroki’s soul before he continues.
“Basically we all watch this streamer/youtuber Natsunami and his siblings have made appearances in his videos. His sister started a channel a little bit ago and we all love her, BUT this is the first ever video of his mysterious little brother so naturally this is like a BIG DEAL.”
“Mhm mhm, and we all sort of have a little crush on him, since it’s confirmed he’s our age and his voice is totally manly!”
Everyone nods in agreement, even Bakugo gives a begrudged “whatever” which basically means he agrees.
‘If only you all knew, what you just admitted to my face.’
Shoto’s mastery of Pokerface must have given Kaminari the impression that he was unconvinced of the importance of this occasion which he kind of was.
“Don’t worry, after we watch this video you’ll see, we can even go back and see his other appearances then everyone in 1A will be officially converted!”
Kaminari presses play and Shoto can’t help but pray he has a heart attack and dies right then and there.
“Hello, most of you watching this video probably know me from my brother Natsunami’s recent streams. I have decided to start making my own content since it looks like a lot of fun. Uh..”
“Our baby boy is nervous for his first video that’s so cute!”
Mina’s input opens up the room for commentary on his video…great.
“For my first video I’m going to be playing a horror game, it’s not the newest game out there but I wanted to play it. Please join me as I scare myself.”
‘I hate this so much kill me, PLEASE LORD KILL ME.’
His video was an hour long and there was constant commentary from his classmates, none of it seemed bad but he didn’t trust himself to make any judgment on social issues.
“How does Natsu do this for a living this is terrifying, and I face death everyday with the type of classmates I have.”
Shit he forgot he kept that part in, oh no he mentioned his class and school life a few times, not by name of course but still!
“Wow, I feel for him. Us poor souls have to deal with Bakugo every day.”
“WHAT DID YOU SAY SHITTY HAIR?!”
This is going to be a long hour.
