Chapter Text
Buck's first shift back was a week later on a Thursday and it started out in Bobby’s office with an apology. He explained his actions were out of love but out of line, nonetheless. Buck had a hard time forgiving Bobby knowing he was the one to put him on light duty and deny him his job. He still forgave Bobby in the end and hoped to further repair their relationship. Buck rode along on all the calls and everything was right with the world. They were joking over the headsets and Buck was allowed back in the action.
It was a few days later and Buck and Eddie were sitting on the couch watching a Spanish soap opera. “So it was really that simple?” Buck asked.
“What was?”
“Us, you, me, relationship” Eddie lowered the volume on the TV.
“Simple?”
“Yeah well,” Buck leaned back into the couch. "I was in love with you for years, denied it for years and suddenly I get taken hostage and we’re dating”
“Well when you put it like that” Eddie moves closer to buck “We’re pretty fucking dumb” Buck lets out a chuckle. “Lets start over at day one” Eddie whispered in a low voice
Eddie swung his leg over to sit on Bucks lap with a twinkle in his eyes. “You can have more than my back.” Buck suddenly found it hard to breathe as Eddie shifted in his lap. “You can break me like a-“
“Jesus Christ” Buck muttered. A deep flush had formed on his cheeks as the limitless possibilities crossed his mind. “I think we should uh- go”
“Go where?” Eddie whispered, his warm breath sent a shiver through bucks entire body.
“Bed” Buck managed to get out. Eddie nodded his head in agreement and brought two heads to the side of Bucks face.
“ok but first” Eddie brought his lips to Buck’s warm and soft and it felt like hours until Eddie pulled away. “I love you Evan”
“I love you too Edmundo”
