Chapter Text
Goofy was serving tables. He told Max that his friends and his new boyfriend were allowed in the House of Mouse as long as they followed the rules. Yakko and Max were put at a table for two while the others were in a booth. Yakko and Max were enjoying a plate of spaghetti and meatballs with romantic candle lights.
“What am I seeing here?!” An angry voice yelled. Max flinched before looking over at his friend’s extremely-judgemental dad, Pete, and slipped his hands from Yakko’s anxiously. Yakko raised an eyebrow and looked at the man as he rose from his own seat.
“Don’t tell me you’re one of them sissy-boys, Max! For the love of everything, it’s a freakin’ epidemic here!” He gestured to another homosexual couple and gasped when Varian raised the middle finger at him while Hiro looked horrified. “Ugh!” He looked at Max. “Why can’t you find yourself a respectable girl? Just because you was dumped, it don’t mean you gotta start swinging the other way!”
Max stammered a bit. “W-Well…we can’t help who we love, right?”
Pete burst out laughing. “That’s the dumbest excuse I ever heard! Hey, Goof! Goof, get over here!”
Yakko started to tap his fingers on the table, looking annoyed, as Goofy hurried over.
“Gwarsh, Pete, what’s goin’ on here?” Goofy asked, concerned.
“Your boy is swinging the other way, is what! What kinda son are you raising here?!” Pete pointed accusingly at Max and Yakko. “Next thing we know, he’ll be wearin’ dressing and skipping in the fields!”
Goofy went into protective parent mode. “And what’s wrong with that?!”
“I’m only concerned with your bloodline. Your son is selfishly ending your Goof bloodline.” Pete said.
“If Max doesn’t want to marry a girl just so the bloodline can continue, then I’m not gonna make him. Besides, family isn’t about being related through blood. It’s about the bond.” Goofy said.
“So you’re going to let your selfish son embarrass you? You’ll be the town’s laughingstock!” Pete argued.
“Pete, I’m going to ask you to leave. You’re making my customers uncomfortable.” Oswald glared down at Pete from the stage.
“They should be uncomfortable, knowing that there’s homosexuals running around now!” Pete arrogantly said. “It’s like once one woman decided that it was a good idea to date her own gender and now everyone is doing it! It’s not a trend! Let’s all grow up and date who we’s is all supposed to be dating!”
“Seriously, Pete, just go.” Oswald groaned.
“Come on, Pete, we can…talk about this later.” Goofy coaxed him. “I mean, I don’t agree, but I’ll hear you out…in private, away from all these people.” He glanced to the side. “Especially since I don’t think you want to know what some of the people you’re screaming about might do to you.” He straightened up. “And away from my son, furthermore.”
Pete waved his hand dismissively. “Agh, this place is becoming a real dumpsterfire. We used to have values!” He stormed out. “We used to know what was right and what was wrong! Now it’s all confused!” He slammed the door shut behind him.
Oswald sighed, then looked at the band. “Well! Keep playing!”
They started to play again.
“Gwarsh, I am sorry about all that, Oswald.” Goofy looked at him, then at Max. “You have a good time, Maxy. I’m so happy you found someone else you can be happy with.” He grinned and then went back to work.
“Phew, that was a show.” Yakko remarked. “You okay, Max?”
“Uhm…yeah.” Max nodded, taking his hands again. “Sorry about all that.”
“Don’t worry about it.” Yakko assured him, then glanced at his siblings pointedly, who were sitting at a nearby table. They communicated silently and then he looked back at him. “I’m fine if you’re fine!” He grinned at him.
Max smiled. “I’m…glad you’re here with me, that he didn’t scare you off.”
Yakko laughed. “It’ll take a
lot
more than some jerk to scare
me
!”
Max smiled, then gasped. “Oh, we should eat.” He slipped his hands from his and Yakko nodded as they started to eat.

After the show was over, Yakko stood in front of Max. It was time for them to go back to Warnerverse where they belong. Max was surprised to find out that these guys weren’t even Disney, but that they came through portals that opened every other weekend. Apparently with the recent conflict things hadn’t been opening, but now they could open up again. Still, it did mean that he was in a long-distance relationship, longer than others here had it, and he wondered if it could work out.
“Here, Max.” Yakko handed him his phone, which Max didn’t realize he’d taken. “I put my number in there for ya. See you soon?” Yakko grinned.
“Well, I guess…this is where we part.” Yakko said.
Max blushed. “Yeah, can we try that kiss again?”
Yakko nodded, closed his eyes, and he leaned in, his lips plucked out. Max closed his eyes and leaned in to close the gap between them. Their soft lips pressed gently against each other. Max felt fireworks going off in him. After they were done kissing, they pulled apart and stared into each other’s eyes.
Suddenly, they were ambushed by both Wakko and Dot!
“Time to goooooo!” Dot wrapped her arms around Yakko’s shoulders.
“I’m tiiiiiiiireeeeeed!” Wakko said, wrapping his arms and legs around Yakko’s legs.
“Well, I’d better get them home and into bed. Good night.” Yakko said.
“Good night!” Max happily sighed.
Yakko lifted them both off him and carried them into the portal, waving with the hand carrying Dot as he walked.
—---------
The next day, as the sun was starting to rise, Yakko, Wakko and Dot stepped out of the portal and Yakko held up a hand to stop a taxi in its tracks. “To the House of Villains, please.” He said as they all climbed in.
“Uh…okay…” The driver looked a bit wary but nodded, driving off to the House of Villains. Then he let them out and drove off without asking for pay, wanting to get as far away as possible as quickly as possible.
“Geez, what’s got his goat?” Yakko pointed at the car speeding away, then walked up the steps and knocked on the doors. When there was no answer, he shrugged and opened it himself, walking in. “Hey, Mayla! You home?” He called. “I heard you’re living here!”
“Ohh, I wonder if they’re still asleep? Let’s jump on their beds!” Wakko said excitedly.
“Maaaaaylaaaaa!” Dot called.
“I’m right here.” Mayla said casually sitting on the couch. “Hey, guys, what’s up?”
“Did ya happen to see the rude guy at the club last night? Ranting and raving and ruining my date with Max?” Yakko made a “blah-blah-blah” motion with his hand.
“Yeah, I was there with my adoptive father, Hades.” Mayla said before her grin grew wider. “I suppose, you’re here to ask for a favor? From one prankster to another?”
Yakko nodded. “I want to ruin his life. Can you find me some dirt on this guy? Or make some?”
Mayla smirked as she got up. “Say no more. I know exactly what to do!”

Goofy was at home, enjoying a quiet evening when there was a knock at his front door. Goofy got up and answered the door. It was Pete!
“Huh? Pete? What are you doing here?” Goofy asked.
“I came to continue our conversation from last night.” Pete said, pushing his way inside. “You know, the one about your son dating another boy, when he shouldn’t be?”
“That’s your opinion and I don’t share it. Love is love, Pete.” Goofy shook his head. “Times are changing, and you should change with them.”
“You’re too flexible. Times are changing because people like you are lying down and letting the railroad of ‘progressiveness’ run over your tracks.” Pete shook his head. “We needs ta take a stand and put a stop ta all this!” He slapped his fist into his hand. “We needs ta fight back and keep things family-friendly, Goof! Because that’s who we are, what we are, family-friendly! Do ya really think parents will be wanting to see boys kissin’ boys and girls kissing’ girls in their shows? We are, first and foremost, entertainment! You know this, I know this, and just because some people out there’s be tryin’ ta change it, it doesn’t change the fact that it is what we are!”
“Well, gwarsh, Pete, there are boys kissing boys watching, and it’s ‘good representation’ to include that. Remember when we couldn’t include black people? When including people like Tiana was just a pipe dream?” Goofy reminded him.
Pete scoffed. “Tiana is datin’ a man, it’s different! You can teach the kids that all skin is fine, but boys can’t have babies with boys! It’s all about the babies, Goof! The babies!”
Goofy rubbed at his temples. “Times have changed, Pete. An’ even if I did agree with you, I certainly wouldn’t have been doing it in front of the guys that threw Mickey off his throne.” He looked at him pointedly.
Pete frowned. “Don’t be a wimp, Goof. And tell yer boy to get over this rebound of his and find himself a respectable girl!” He turned and walked out, stopping short when he saw his wife glaring at him. “Oh! Peg! What’re you doin’ here?”
“Looking for you.” She said, fury in her eyes.
Goofy discreetly went to close the door, but Pete was still in the doorway.
Pete looked a bit nervous. “You seem upset, Sweetheart. What’s wrong? Oh, is it because you found out-”
“ABOUT YOUR MISTRESS?! YES!!!” Peg screeched in Pete’s face. “You promised me that you’d try better!”
Pete was flabbergasted. “Mistress?! What are you talking about, Honeybunch?”
Peg held up a pair of women’s lingerie underwear. “Someone from a strip club called me earlier and told me that you never paid them for their services! They said that you had kept a pair of their clothes in your sock drawer! AND I’M PRETTY SURE THEY ARE NOT MINE!!!”
“But I would never-”
“THEN HOW DO THEY HAVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER?!” Peg yelled.
[ Earlier,
Peg was in her office, writing some paperwork when her phone rang.
“Hello, Peg’s- ”
“Is this Peg Pete?” A woman with a heavy either Russian or British accent asked. There was stripper’s music playing in the background. (Her face was hidden as the camera showed her back. She has black hair. She also wore clothes covering her body. She was clearly NOT a stripper but she was pretending as one).
“Y-Yes…who is this?” Peg asked.
“I’m a stripper who happened to also be your husband’s mistress. Your husband owes me at least a trillion dollars over the years. For all of my services. Oh…and he stole my lingerie.” The mysterious woman said.
The other strippers giggled quietly. The other one on the phone was quietly shushing them.
The woman could sense the silent fury from a betrayed wife.
“I have to get back to work but if you could be a dear and find my clothes as well as pay me. I bet he hid them in his sock drawer.” Then she hung up. Finally, the mysterious female caller turned around and revealed that she has yellow eyes. She grinned as she thanked the strippers for letting her use the strip club’s phone. After she left, the strippers broke down laughing their heads off!
Peg angrily marched back to her house and tore their bedroom apart! When she saw the evidence, her blood boiled steaming hot! ]
Peg stood there, clutching the lingerie tight in her fist.
“You know what?! I’ve put up with your damn schemes for years, and if you’re going to cheat on me…would you please do me the courtesy of being more discreet?!” Peg said.
“Peg, I would never kiss anyone but you!” Pete said.
“THEN EXPLAIN THIS!!!” Peg screamed as she shoved a polaroid picture of Pete dressed up as Santa Claus and kissing Mortimer Mouse!
“Well, gwarsh, Pete, it looks like you’ve had your ‘phase’, too!.” Goofy smirked.
Pete was speechless.
“That’s it ! I’m calling a lawyer and filing for divorce!” Peg said as she turned around and stormed out.
“Divorce?! Peg-Pie! Let’s talk about this!” Pete chased after Peg and finally left Goofy alone.
“There’s no shame in dating other guys, Pete!” Goofy called after him. “Now you’re free to find your man-love!”
He chuckled and shut the door before going back to his book.

Max and his schoolmates eventually graduated from high school. Max made peace with Scott and Roxanne. The House of Mouse threw a graduation party in Max’s honor. The Warner Siblings showed up for it.
“It’s kind of sad that you’re going to college. I mean, I used to be homeschooled but now it’s just my Sibs. Still, you’ll be busy with college stuff.” Yakko pouting.
Max chuckled. “Aww, don’t worry, Yakk. We can hang out during breaks. I still have your number on my phone.”
Yakko smiled. “I know.”
“You're still gonna give me that tour of Cartoon Network City, right?” Max asked.
“Of course, I still keep my promise, Maxie.” Yakko flirted before they kissed each other again.
This was the start of a chapter in their lives. Max and Yakko were still dating even after Max moved into college with his two best friends. As for Roxanne and Scott? They went to a different college. And Pete…well, you probably already know anyway.
