-One year later-
“Can I go out now?” Jungkook asks, looking out the window and seeing people walking on the sidewalk. “Wheres Yoongi?” Seokjin asks fondly, Jungkook sighs, “With Joonie I think” The omega answers, just about ready to explode.
It truly was a busy neighbourhood now, pretty much every house on the street was filled with people. “Can I go now?” Jungkook huffs, showing Seokjin his empty plate. The alpha smiles, ruffling the youngers hair, “Stay on the road” He reminds before the omega runs off.
That’ll be Jungkook for the day, going to find someone to play with, before it gets dark and he knows to get back inside. Even if there are no zombies around anymore, he could still get sick or lost. Seokjin watches him throw on a coat before rushing off out.
It makes him happy knowing there are now people Jungkooks age who he can go off with. They’re all smart and are good role models for Jungkook, keeping him on a good path. He’s grown especially attached to Mingyu since they joined them a few months back.
Seokjin grabs his own coat, crossing over the road to find Yoongi, he might be with Namjoon. Hoseok is sat on the sofa, pair of knitting needles in hand as he works on a baby hat. “Good morning” The omega says, perking up just a little. “Good morning, anyone upstairs?” Seokjin replies.
Hoseok hums in question, putting his needles on his lap, “I don’t know actually, Ive been to focused” Hoseok says, gesturing to the needles again. Seokjin shakes his head and laughs, of course Hoseok wouldn’t know who’s in his house. “I’ll find out” Seokjin concludes, heading upstairs.
Namjoon isn’t their only doctor anymore, theres also Seungmin who used to be a dentist. But of course Namjoon still has his makeshift practice in the spare room of his house. It’s now properly decked out and people know they can visit him for their problems.
Seokjin helped himself in, going red upon seeing someone already in there with him. “Oh sorry” He apologises, it’s Taehyun in there with Huening Kai, his baby. “It’s alright Jin you can come in” The younger alpha says, and Seokjin shuts the door behind him, sitting down next to him.
“Kai is teething” Namjoon tells him, smile on his face, Taehyun picks him up, placing Kai on Seokjins lap. Kai is so cute, babbling away, drooling from his mouth and screeching happily. “You need to get used to this” Taehyun laughs, before picking him back up and placing him on his hip.
“Thanks Namjoon” He says before leaving the two alphas alone. Namjoon starts cleaning all the tools he must have used, “Has Yoon been here today?” Seokjin asks and Namjoon smiles harder, giving the other alpha a look.
“This is normal you know? Alpha instincts go into overdrive and-“ Seokjin scoffs at that, folding his arms and somehow that react makes Namjoon smile harder. “God Joon, I just want to know where he is”
Namjoon shuts his last draw before giving Seokjin his full attention, “He /was/ here, but I think he wanted to give the lovebirds back their blanket” Ah, that makes sense, Yoongi has been nesting and just the other day he was saying how he needs everyone to rescent everything
“You’re anxious, I can smell it on you” Namjoon raises his eyebrows, sitting back on his chair. Seokjin just sighs, yes he anxious, he hasn’t seen Yoongi in over an hour now. “It’s completely normal, just know everything is /fine/“ Namjoon reassures and Seokjin does feel a little better.
After a slight goodbye, Seokjin heads for Jimin and Taehyungs house, walking across the street again, just next door to his own house. Taehyung is on the floor with Jimin, giving it their best attempts to build a crib. “Seokjin thank god, tell Taehyung that this is /oak/ wood” The omega jumps up.
Taehyung rolls his eyes, scoffing, “This is /elm/ wood, from the /elm/ trees that surround us, isn’t that right Jin?” It’s clear they’ve probably been on about this for a while, but Seokjin knows all will be forgiven by tonight when they’re all over each other again.
“Yoongi always says they’re chestnut trees” Seokjin answers them both, and they go silent before going back to slotting the wood in the holes. “Speaking of Yoongi, where is he?” The alpha takes the time to ask and they both look at him curiously.
“He said he was going back to you next door” Jimin answers, hand unconsciously finding itself in Taehyungs. Seokjin takes in a deep breath, thanking them both before going back to his own house.
His alpha is now in a bit of a rush to see Yoongi now, it feels like they’ve been apart for so long. But he instantly relaxes upon seeing his omega upstairs, sitting on the bed reading a baby book. Seokjin lets out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding in.
“Do you know they’re as big as a cabbage now?” Yoongi smiles, putting down the book and displaying his big belly. Seokjin joins him on the big, putting his chin on Yoongis shoulder and feeling his swollen tummy. “We only have butternut squash and melon to go, then they’ll be a real baby”
This whole time they’ve just been fruits, its hard to believe its actually a baby in there, /their/ baby. Namjoon guessed they were around the 32 week mark, which made them a cabbage. “I missed you” Seokjin whined, nosing in between the omegas neck.
Yoongi laughs at that, “I was gone an hour” He points, slapping Seokjins thigh playfully. “An hour too long” The alpha states before pulling Yoongi into his lap, he really did miss him, even if it was for an hour. Yoongis turned soft, emotionally and physically, Seokjin has been making sure he’s been eating for two.
Its made him all buttery, skin soft and tasty, the alpha just wants to skin his teeth in everywhere. Sometimes it’s difficult to hold back because Yoongi just looks so delicious. “I know what you’re thinking and no, I promised Jihoon I would go to his book club”
Now thats funny, “Min Yoongi, joining a book club” Seokjin laughs, and Yoongi swats his chest before getting up with slight struggle. “He promised snacks!” The omega defends so Seokjin holds up his hands in defence.
“Ok ok, you go to your /book club/, I’ll just be here… Alllll~ alone” Seokjin fame sniffles, wiping tears that aren’t there and Yoongi rolls his eyes once again. “I never said we couldn’t do it, I said I had a book club first” Yoongi teases before leaving, now Seokjin just has to convince Jungkook to stay out tonight, it shouldn’t be that hard.
