It’s been three months now since moving in with my new roommate. Tony isn’t bad. He has moments when he’s funny, and even a little endearing. Neither of us talk about our lives before college, which is a plus. No complaining about old exes or how annoyingly worried our parents were before shipping us off halfway across the country.
No, we’ve exchanged likes, dislikes, and a few boundaries. Sometimes he talks to me about his grades or his professors. I get it, sometimes. Classes are tough, but it’s only going to get worse from here. At least for me, as a med student. I don’t even want to think what my fourth year will be like. Coffee.
Tony is studying some kind of science. Ive picked up on terms when he’s gone on tangents while i’ve been studying. Or trying to. Aerodynamics and astrophysics doesn’t go well with biochemistry. Which is, by the way, wrecking me more than i thought it would. I didn’t expect hell to be interesting.
I’ll admit that sharing a space have more benefits than just splitting the rent. He actually has good taste in music, and he brought a plethora of old CDs. We don’t watch them often, but the few times we do is a great chance to unwind. My back doesn’t appreciate falling asleep in the couch though. I’ll count myself lucky that he’s as good as he is at massage. And i suppose he’s not entirely bad looking when he’s asleep.
Note to self: it’s not gay to find another man attractive ?
