"I’m not 'faking' a smile, Alhaitham. I’m grimacing because you just suggested a spreadsheet for hug quotas."

To keep toddler Nahida out of the system, Alhaitham and Kaveh enter a fake marriage pact. Living together was already a war zone, but raising a child forces a ceasefire they weren't prepared for. Turns out, the only thing harder than co-parenting is realizing the "act" isn't an act anymore.

“Do you need anything before I go?” asks Kaveh from the door. Really, the amount of distance he’s placed between them is unnecessary and overdramatic.

Al-Haitham makes this known by saying, “I can’t hear you from over here.”

Kaveh scoffs from where he’s leaning against the door frame. “Nice try, Al-Haitham. But I’m not risking going over there just for you to infect me with your plague.”

Al-Haitham is down with a cold and misses being near Kaveh.

“A symposium in Greek[,] literally means a drinking party. But Plato’s Symposium takes the occasion of a drinking party first to praise Love and then to define it. It is a philosophical dialogue[,] in which meaning is created in the exchange of words between the participants.” – Gillooly, Columbia University.

“Haitham, right there! Yes! No- wait- just- a little to the left- come on, Haitham!” Kaveh cries out, and Cyno immediately feels heat rush to his cheeks.
There is no way he just walked in on what he thinks he walked in on.
“Stop squirming, fucking hell,” Alhaitham replies, low and gruff, voice strained, and Cyno’s ears burn. He’s going to need to bleach his ears out after this.

Four times Tighnari and Cyno think they walk in on Alhaitham and Kaveh in compromising positions, and one time they actually do.
