Chapter Text
Have you ever seen someone with regeneration speed run a mission that involves animals who like to feed on human flesh and automatons who don’t care what they’re biting. I give it 0 stars in terms of humanity effforts cause it's just a fucking mascare. But in terms of achieving a bloodbath, 5 out 5. A full score as even the ceiling was starting to drip blood. Chuuya felt partly in awe at the amount of damage the jinko did to himself to get away from the violently biting animals.
“... Dazai… do you think that Atsushi is a little too self destructive.”
An arm went flying.
“He seems to be fine though… although maybe we should tell him to stop making such a mess.”
“But he seems to be very eager to achieve the original definition of bait… that’s used in fishing.”
“We usually don’t deal with missions like this…. But maybe we should say something about ripping limbs off personally.” Dazai gave a little smile, tinted with manic energy, “it’s like he’s taking after his dear mentor.”
Kunikida looked back down at his notepad “ He’s on track to finish in the time frame he said. The only issue is that there is an electrical fence up ahead, without a proper way around it. He needs to be very careful when going through it or he'll get a rather strong shock. It’s climbable, but only if he doesn’t mind getting nearly fried and leaving us to recover the body. It goes at around 100 volts with 100 mA constant.
“That voltage causes extreme pain, possible severe muscle reactions, possible respiratory arrest, and can even lead to death… If he’s careful, how long will it take him to get around.
“It would take around 10 minutes, half his time. He’s already 7 minutes in and he's still not even halfway there. Even the dogs and automatons that are chasing him are still considered lower level.”
Kōyō, the only other executive member present glanced over, “He’s already ripping off his own limbs. For him, can they be considered low level? ”
Dazai laughed. “Kōyō-neesan he’s doing that because he’s lazy. He can’t be bothered to face them head on and to him, he has the means to keep them occupied far away.”
“I wouldn’t call using yourself as bait as proper, accessible means to an end mackerel.”
“And that is why you're not talking, undersized hatrack.”
“Regardless of what he is using, how will he be ready within our time limit Fukuzawa-dono.”
“I believe that he will be able to stick to his world Mori-dono, after all he has a max of 20 minutes.”
“Hmmm? Ok, let’s see how your little boy will solve his next obstacle.”
“Kunuikida, does Atsushi-kun already know the electricity details?”
“Yes, he reads the reports unlike you, you waste of perfectly good bandages.”
“Well let’s see how he solves this!!! I have a feeling it will be a fun solution.”
The fortified fence finally came into view, climbing to the ceiling with a gap at the top. Atsushi, back on the ground after getting around a mesh cage, stared up at the gap at the top appearing to formulate a plan to get past the electrified bars.
“100 with 100 right? That should be fine…?” And with that Atsusshi started to climb up the bars, using them as a ladder. “Fu- OW, SHIT! NOT fine. That hurt so much more than I thought it would!”
“He’s climbing it…”
“Oh wait, actually this isn't that bad… I guess I was just being dramatic”
“NOT THAT BAD???? I SAW HIS ARM SPASM!”
“Look, he’s almost at the top Yasono-kun, so maybe they turned the voltage down…”
Atsushi cleared the top in a matter of seconds, the sounds of barking getting louder as the dogs finally finished their delicious treat consisting of fresh Atsushi meat and a nice bone. The camera seemed to zoom in on the dripping blood coming from the dogs’ maw and the bloodthirsty gleam the rabid animals had in their eyes as they eyed Atsushi as a fresh piece of meat.
“If the voltage was turned down, can’t they still get past the barrier like Atsushi did?”
The question was answered almost immediately as 4 dogs at once rammed in the fence and immediately got electrocuted pained wines ringing through the air as they fell over on their side, writhing. They were dead seconds later.
“Oh, they died. Oh well, that’s better for me!”and with that Atsushi kept on moving.
“I thought you said that they turned the voltage down.”
“I only said that because Atsushi didn’t react at all…
