Chapter Text
Doc stands in Ren’s kitchen making them both a mug of tea, as Ren rambles about a new outfit he saw at the server hub a week ago.
“-I just think it would be perfect for me.” Ren says, from where he is sitting at his kitchen table.
“If you like it, you should get it.” Doc says, as he sets a mug down in front of the dog hybrid.
“Ya,” Ren says, pausing to take a sip of his tea, “wow that’s good. Anyways, since I feel better I can head out and get it later.”
Doc sits down in the chair across from Ren, and takes a sip from his own mug, “you should wait a few days to make sure you're not contagious.” Doc says, “we don't want the other hermits getting sick, X would flip.”
“True.” Ren says, sipping on his tea, then setting the mug down.
Doc takes another sip, trying to combat the little tickle in his chest.
“Are you okay?” Ren asks, looking at Doc.
Doc’s body takes that's ah it’s cue to make him cough.
After Doc can breathe again he looks at Ren, “why do you look so happy?”
Ren, (whose tail is swishing behind him), answers, a smile on his face, “your sick.”
“Apparently.” Doc answers, “and how is that good?”
“ ‘cuz, now I get to take care of you.” Ren says, sharp canines showing in his smile.
“No, I’m fine.” Doc answers, “just a little cough.”
“No, that's how I started.” Ren says.
“No, I’m fine-” Doc responds before getting cut off by a sneeze.
“I’m getting my Disney movies, and chicken soup recipe. “ Ren says standing up, “I’m going to make you feel better in no time.”

“Here change into this, it will be more comfortable.” Ren says holding up a set of comfortable pajamas.
“Where did you get this?” Doc asks, pointing to the clothes in Ren’s hands.
“I may or may not have raided your closet, for clothes, so if you decide to sleep over, you have something to change into.” Ren replies, as Doc takes the clothes.
“Okay, that explained a few things.” Doc says, taking the clothes, and heading towards Ren’s bathroom to change.

“ c’mere.” Ren says, sitting in bed, and patting the spot next to him, “ I got Kleenex, chicken soup, and Aladdin.”
Sure enough the intro to Aladdin is playing on a television, Ren must have set up.
“No I feel bad I did not set up a movie for you to watch.” Doc says, as he walks across the room.
“It’s fine,” Ren says, “I was too out of it to care anyway.”
“Thank you.” Doc says, as he sits next to Ren.
“No problem dude.” Ren says, “what are friends for?”
