Gabriel sits peacefully on the carpeted floor of a bedroom in the Lust layer, resting his body and mind in a little meditation as he waits for-
Glass shattering
Ah, they’re here.

V1 crashes through the window, landing on one knee, with its right hand on the ground and the other three raised behind its shoulder. Having satisfied the need to show off, it straightens, jogging over to Gabriel’s side with bouncy steps, it sits down beside him, legs folded and hands resting on their respective knees.
“Hello there, Machine.” He says, flatly, seemingly annoyed.
V1 tilts its head in inquiry, letting out a low beep.
“No, I’m not mad.. Just… You got glass everywhere..” Gabriel replies, turning his body and head to look at the mess V1 made. He shakes his head, looking forward again.
Another low beep, accompanied by a tap on Gabriel’s shoulder. Once having gotten his attention it begins to spell with its fingers. “S O R R Y . .”
“It’s alright, Machine, I’ll help you to clean it up in a minute. I would just like to rest after our journey here.” Gabriel responds, bringing a hand up to pat the smaller on the head.

After all the time spent traveling through the layers of hell with the machine, learning of their personality and workings, it was hard to stay mad at them for long. Gabriel lets out a sigh, rubbing his palm against the scuffed up metal on the top of the machine’s head.
He feels them pushing back, almost as if they’re leaning into the touch. He lifts his hand away slightly, only for them to extend their neck to maintain contact.
“Hm, curious little Machine…” He murmurs, mostly to himself, as he continues to pet their head.
They let out a soft drone, shutters over their optic closing in joy.
