“Skizz escaped from his cell,” Gem said. She was leading them north east towards the Undergrove.
“He took Shelby hostage, we managed to kill him but he was standing on a pressure plate. Then boom!”
“So she’s back at the Undergrove?” Pearl asked, “Yeah, that’s where she’d respawn.”
“Okay,” Joel said, “Let’s speed up then.” They continued through the trees.
“I still think we should have killed her,” Martyn grumbled.
“It’s them!” Pearl hissed.
“I’ll attack from above,” Gem whispered, “then you jump in.”
“Got it.” they nodded, pulling out their swords. Gem took off into the air, swooping down, attacking BigB.
“Attack!” Ren shouted. Joel and Pearl jumped out of the bushes. Gem started fighting Martyn.
“Not so easy now that I’m awake huh?” she asked.
“At least I’m not stabbing you in the back like you did,” he snarled. Joel started attacking BigB, already wounded from Gem’s initial strike. Pearl was fighting with Skizz and Etho.
“Ungrateful bedbug!” Ren swung the hilt of his sword hitting Gem over the head. Without her Joel and Pearl were quickly subdued.
“I spare your life,” Ren hissed. Gem, Joel, and Pearl were being held on their knees with their hands behind their back.
“And THIS is how you repay me?” he continued, “I should kill you now.”
“Killing me will do nothing,” Gem spat.
“You’re right…” Ren said, turning menacingly, “The axe, Hand.”
“Yes M’lord.” Martyn handed Ren his axe.
“But this will!” Etho shoved Joel forwards.
“Wait,” Pearl said, “wait what are you doing!?”
“RED WINTER IS COMING!” Ren brought the axe down. Pearl and Gem winced as blood splattered them.
