From the outside looking in, Tango Veyrah was just a normal barista in a normal cafe. That couldn’t possibly be further from the truth. Maybe- Maybe it wasn’t that bad. Wels had cheated death a few times before, and he could probably do it again? He ducked into an alley, unrolling the parchment and scanning through it. Welsknight, 5th battalion… chosen assignment-
Oh, great. Just- freaking great! He gave this place seven years of his life, and they repaid him by sending him to his death?! It wasn’t like he wanted too much from them either, maybe a nod of acknowledgement or an occasional smile, a day off every couple months if he was being particularly demanding. Was that really too much to ask? …really, he should’ve been expecting this. Of course they’d want to get rid of him, it wasn’t like anyone actually liked him. Shoving the parchment into his pocket he marched back home, looking around at his meager possessions. Really, now that he was faced with his imminent death, he could admit his life was rather depressing. He didn’t really do much outside of work- not that he had a lot of extra time on his hands- and there was only one singular person Wels could call his friend. He looked around, beginning to pack a bag to take with him.
AKA- Wels gets sent on a quest that really should kill him. Somehow, he makes some friends along the way.
