Chapter Text
1 week later...
Orchid woke up with determination. She had everything planned out and was going to tell her parents today, and she was prepared for the huge inevitable argument. At least, she hoped she was. Unfortunately, she had to wait until the end of the day. She decided to pass the time by reading and talking to Yoongi, after feeding the animals and herself.
Orchid:
I'm going to tell them today. It's going to be a nightmare. Wish me luck
Yoongi:
Good luck, Orchid. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you.
Also, sorry I forgot to send you a moon picture that night. I've been caught up in this track I was having trouble with the past week.
Orchid:
Thank you, Yoongi. I really appreciate it! I understand! Your work is really important! My other cat game friends helped me out the other night, so it was fine.
I might have to go stress bake something while I wait for them to get home.
Yoongi:
That's good. I hope they believe the moon hasn't disappeared then.
I hope the baking goes well then, if you decide to do that. I have to go but keep me updated.
Orchid:
Luckily, the pictures worked for that specific problem. Also, I will! Bye Yoongi
She put down her phone and thought "Or maybe I'll just take a nap..." Her chronic fatigue was catching up to her today. She felt the exhaustion in her abdomen telling her it was time to sleep.
She walked back to her room with, Momo, hot on her trail. Orchid just about tripped over her. She got comfortable in her bed and tried to fall asleep. Momo jumped up behind her and crawled on top of Orchid's chest. Her purring helped lull Orchid to sleep.
Orchid awoke scared half to death from her mother rapidly ringing the doorbell over and over again. She would never just use her keys to unlock the door like a normal person. Orchid hated when her mom did that so much. She stumbled out of her bed to open the door while the ringing continued.
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" She shouted.
After she yanked opened the door, she helped her mom inside.
"Orchid! You're not supposed to be sleeping during the day! I've told you..." Her mom went on her whole naps aren't allowed spiel, which she just tried to tune out. She was going to sleep when she was fatigued even if her mom yelled at her for it.
They talked about her mom's work day went afterwards, while Orchid put away her mom's bags and unpacked her lunch box. She then heated up some leftovers for her and her mom to eat for dinner because she was too exhausted to cook anything that night. They sat down on the couch and watched tv while they ate. Her mom watching a crappy reality show while Orchid watched something else on her phone. After dinner, she went back to her room for awhile, where she was trying to gather the courage to start the conversation when her dad got home. She was nervous, but she was also so tired. Orchid needed a break or she was going to go insane.
When she heard her dad's keys unlocking the door a couple hours later, she was ready.
It was showtime.
