“Good evening folks and welcome to New York Nightly! Your go-to show for staying up to date on all the latest and greatest figures that are capturing the public’s eye. I’m your host, Lillian Turner and today I’m joined by one of the country’s most beloved and celebrated heroes. Whether he’s swooping in to save the day or charming the world with a witty joke or two, he’s always giving it his all to ensure the safety and well-being of us regular folk. Everyone, please welcome… Sam Wilson aka The Falcon!”
Seated on the couch Sam waved to the audience, throwing a wink and a grin at the camera. “Thank you Lillian for having me, I’m really grateful to be here.” Sam said once the crowd had quieted down.
“Well of course! You’re all anyone can talk about nowadays. I mean, in just a year since starting you’ve made around two hundred hundred arrests, played a leading role in rescues from over four hundred various accidents, accumulated numerous brand deals with major companies, and donated a total of five million dollars to various charities and programs. I have to say, you’re quite the star!”
The audience once again began to clap and cheer as Sam smiled bashfully. “It’s really nothing that special I promise. Being a hero and helping people has always been my dream, so I’m fully committed to doing whatever I can to work towards making sure people can feel safer every day. All those fancy numbers and stats are just what comes when you devote yourself to the job.”
Lillian sighed dreamily, “You really are quite an admirable person, I can see why you’re so popular!”
Sam chuckled and gave an exaggeratedly smug look to the camera. “Well this face and body definitely help with that as well, you know what I’m saying.”
The audience and Lillian laughed as Sam stood up and struck a few of his iconic poses in rapid succession, articulating each change to another one with an emphasized “bam!”.
“That’s right, I know what y’all are really after.” Sam teased as he sat back down, starting another round of laughter.
Once the crowd had settled Lillian continued, “Another thing that’s really endeared you to people is the connections you’ve been able to make with other heroes. You’ve been seen teaming up and hanging out with some fan favorites like Captain America and Black Widow quite frequently, and you all seem to have a pretty good relationship.”
Smiling fondly Sam replied, “Yeah those guys are great, I like working with them a lot. I actually met Cap first before I had even started all this hero stuff, back when I was just a guy who worked for the VA in D.C. We came across each other by chance and got to talking, and when I was able to help him with that huge mess at the Potomac he told me that I had what it takes and encouraged me to try being a hero for real. I met Natasha through him during that incident, and we all got along really well and have stayed friends since.”
“Wow, that's incredible. So it’s Captain America we have to thank for bringing Falcon into the world huh!”
Shaking his head in mock despair Sam said forlornly, “His spirit infects us all I’m afraid. Once you make eye contact with those ‘sea to shining sea’ baby blues it's like you can hear an eagle screeching overhead and feel patriotic righteousness flowing through your veins. You have no choice but to fight the good fight after that.”
“He really does have a way of inspiring us all doesn’t he.” Lillian commented, laughing along with the audience. “But on the topic of the Captain, his childhood best friend James ‘Bucky’ Barnes–aka the hero the Winter Soldier–is also frequently seen with him and Black Widow, and it’s no secret that despite being close with those two you and the Soldier very much don’t get along.” She leaned closer and asked conspiratorially, “I think I speak for us all when I say we’re dying to know, what’s the deal there?”
Following her lead Sam also leaned closer, and fakely glancing around as if he was worried asked, “Am I allowed to swear?”
Appearing a bit surprised Lillian chuckled and nodded saying, “Sure why not! We’re all about authenticity here.”
Satisfied, Sam leaned back and smirked, looking directly at the camera. “Barnes is an asshole.”
Laughter broke out at Sam’s statement and when he didn’t seem like he was going to say more Lillian, confused but grinning, prompted “Is that it?”
“Yup.” Sam replied, popping the “p” with the smug look still on his face. “Actually, you know what Lillian, since you’ve been such a great host I feel like I could give y’all a little something.” Turning back to the camera with a glint in his eyes that could only be described as mischievous he added, “To all the fans of the cyborg out there–god knows why, you know that show-offy big bad runway strut of his that y'all seem to love so much?” Moving forward and cupping his mouth as if telling a secret he continued, “He practices that on the treadmill at the hero training center. I see it every day.” Fully grinning now he sat back and winked. “Nothin’ but love Bucks.”
Trying and failing to hide her laughter as the audience roared with their own, Lillian attempted to calm things down and continue the show. “Alright alright, so you mentioned that…”

[Video taken by Sam who is clearly hiding behind a corner. The camera peeks out around the wall to show Bucky on a treadmill, staring fiercely straight ahead as he does his runway strut.
Sam’s muffled chuckles are heard as he comments, “I told y’all he practices that shit. Man is in the zone.”
Suddenly Bucky’s head snaps to directly stare down the camera and Sam quietly says “shit” before the view turns to a shaky one of a hallway as he starts running. “Goddamn super soldier hearing,” Sam can be heard muttering as he sprints.
“Wilson I swear to FUCKING god that better not be what I think it is!” Bucky shouts, voice getting closer.
The camera quickly flips, showing Sam as he grins. “I had a feeling shit was gonna go down, so I wore these.” His Falcon wings are seen opening behind his shoulders as he salutes the camera. “Proof secured, Falcon signing off.”
The video cuts off as Sam takes to the air and Bucky yells, “You wore the fucking wings!? Oh you bird bastard I-”]
