Chapter Text

"Alright, you seem to have a plan brewing behind those eyes, Midoriya, so lay it on us,” Daisuke advised after taking a quick look at the villain infested water surrounding them. "What’s your plan to get us out of here?"

"Well, we all agree that the villains don't seem to know what our quirks truly are, right?" He asked, waiting for Tsuyu and Daisuke’s confirming nods before continuing. "Well, they may have the numbers and the environment to their advantage, but we still have the element of surprise on our side!"

"And how exactly, ribbit, are we going to use it?" Tsuyu asked, her tone curious as she brought a finger to her chin.

"Well, if what I have in mind is going to work, I need to know a little more about both your quirks to make the plan more solid," He admitted, looking sheepish. "So, who wants to start?"

"Well, ribbit, I already said the gist of what my quirk is back on the bus," Tsuyu admitted, speaking up. "Prehensile tongue, great leaping ability, able to stick to things pretty well . . . All the usual stuff a frog can do, I can do."

"Considering the environment we're in, you have the biggest advantage among us by far," Daisuke mumbled. "My quirk allows me pretty much the same thing, but with felines of all shapes and sizes rather than frogs. . . I have a full transformation in my arsenal, though it isn’t what you might expect - trust me, long story - and I can do partial transformations for a more isolated boost. . . I guess we can use the latter to boost a leap out of here."

"It’s going to help a lot, trust me," Midoriya stated, confidence crossing his face as his right hand folded itself into a fist.

“Well would you look at that. . . Confidence is a good look on him,” Daisuke couldn’t help but think at that moment, smirking slightly at the freckle-faced teen’s sudden enthusiasm. “We’re all ears Midoriya. What’s the plan?”

“Alright, here's what we're gonna do!"

Meanwhile, out in the water, the villains continued to surround the boat, itching to pounce on the three teens they knew were hiding onboard, and many were eager to tear them limb from limb. . .

. . . Well, if they're vicious grins were anything to go by.

"Those kids should be escaping the boat any minute now!" Cried a hammerhead shark looking villain as he glared at the boat, displaying his sharp teeth in a vicious grin. "They can't stay in there forever!"

"And once they do try, we'll be ready for them!" A villain covered in silver fish scales agreed, stretching out his webbed fingers as the group awaited their prey. “. . . Even better? I think one of them is Ice Mist’s kids!”

“The blue haired one with the cat ears is definitely her brat!” A third voice called out, coming from a villain with squid tentacles for arms. “. . . Won’t it be nice of us to make sure that the kid doesn’t make it home safely tonight?”

“Oh, we can do that and so much more!” The silver scaled villain called out, grinning maliciously.

"Let’s not wait any longer then," The hammerhead villain advised as he looked around at his allies. "I say we board that ship and attack them head on! Who's with me?!"

A chorus of cheers erupted from the villainous group, spurring the hammerhead villain into making the first move, rushing the boat and ramming into it, skull first, before backing away, grinning as a large crack started expanding from the point of impact.

"Judging from that loud noise, this boat is going to take in water real fast, real soon!" Daisuke announced as he finished shredding the last of his pants, leaving him with just his bodysuit, tailcoat, and sandals. "Alright, the last of the confetti's ready!"

"Alright then," Midoriya mumbled as he looked out at the villains before them, many of them too distracted with breaking the boat apart to notice that he was no longer hiding himself. "BLIND THEM!"

Having quickly shredded every spare piece of fabric that they could find - Daisuke's pants included - the cat boy and frog girl threw the entire supply they created out onto the water below. As soon as he heard the first sound of the villains yelling out in confusion, Midoriya pounced, rocketing off the railing to give himself enough height for his next move, holding his hand out to the water as if he were going to flick it.

"DELAWARE SMASH!"

The attack, a powerful force of pressurized air that would push away anything not bolted down, crashed into the water below, initiating a wave so strong that it sent the villains spiraling into different directions while also sending Midoriya high into the air.

As this was happening, Daisuke, having now shifted his legs into that of a mountain lion's, and Tsuyu held onto each other as they ran toward the railing, combining their leaping skills to send themselves high above the zone.

Tsuyu quickly snagged Midoriya with her tongue, steadying him in the air long enough for him to fire off another Delaware Smash the villains’ way, disorienting them even further while propelling him and his classmates further to safety.

"Guys! We're coming in hot!" Daisuke exclaimed as their landing zone grew closer in a hurry.

"Brace yourselves!" Midoriya yelled, and though all three did what they could to make their crash landing easier, it wasn’t enough to dampen the initial sting of splashing down in the water at high speed.

. . . At least they landed close to land.

After getting their bearings back together, the trio quickly swam to shore and hightailed it from the zone before the still discombobulated villains could follow. The trio eventually stopped in an alley between a couple of zones, needing a moment to catch their breath and contemplate their next move.

Their next move was certainly going to be critical.

"I don't see anyone coming our way, and I don't hear any footsteps approaching either," Daisuke called to the others from his perch by the alleyway's opening. "We should be safe here for now."

"That's a relief," Midoriya called back, wincing as he flexed his fingers. ". . . Ow."

"Are you going to be okay Midoriya?" Tsuyu asked as Daisuke quickly jogged back to the duo.

"Well, my fingers are definitely not broken, much to my relief, but they can definitely use an ice pack to cool the sting . . ." He admitted as he flexed said sore digits. ". . . Anyway, I think it's safe to say that we’re not the only ones that got separated from the rest of the class.”

"And I’d say that’s pretty much a given," Daisuke mumbled his agreement, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall. "We could go and help the others, but we'd be going in pretty much blind. . . There’s only so much I can pick up with my ears after all."

"We don't know what to expect from the rest of the zones, ribbit, we don't know which or how many of our classmates got sent to each zone, and we don't know how many villains are in each zone, let alone what their quirks are, ribbit," Tsuyu added as she brought a finger to her chin. "Daisuke’s right. If we went to help the others, we'd go in blind."

"Then again, any possible help we could provide would be rendered null if the others have managed to escape the zones like we just did," Daisuke brought up. "For all we know, they could be heading to the exits as we speak."

"That's a possibility as well," Tsuyu conceded before turning back to Midoriya. "So, what are we going to do then?"

"I think . . . I think our priority should be to get help," Midoriya announced as he stood up. "If anyone was left back at the top of the stairs after we were all split up, they should have gotten out by now to do the same . . . but if not, it's left to us."

"Well, there's too many villains for us to deal with alone, and who knows if anyone managed to escape so far," Daisuke mused as he brought a hand to his chin. “. . . We’re basically running in the dark right now, but that doesn't mean we can’t find our way to the light.”

“That’s a nice way of putting it, Daisuke,” Tsuyu admitted, her naturally wide eyes widening slightly. “Is that something your mother has said before?”

“Nah, it’s more my dad’s line,” The cat teen admitted with a small shrug. “When your hero father doubles as a professor, you learn to live with the sometimes cliche turn of phrases that comes out of his mouth.”

"Right now, I think our best bet is to head back to the main entrance," Midoriya suggested, looking determined. "Hopefully we'll meet with some of the others along the way."

"We'll likely have to cut through the main plaza to get there though," Tsuyu pointed out as the cat teen silently nodded his agreement. ". . . This is not going to be easy."

"Aizawa-sensei and Onizaki-sensei might have the situation handled by the time we get there, but if they don't. . ." Midoriya trailed off as he looked squarely at Daisuke, having a feeling that he would agree with what he was going to say next. ". . . We need to help them, regardless of the risks."

"You won’t hear me arguing," Daisuke immediately said, confirming Midoriya’s assumption now confirmed.

He then looked over at Tsuyu, who seemed quite conflicted over the idea herself. "Tsuyu, judging from that look on your face, I know that you're not entirely sold on the idea, but consider this. With the number of villains that are still running around the place, do you really think we'll be able to hold ourselves back from facing them forever?"

"Well . . . When you put it that way, we really don't have a choice in the matter do we?" Tsuyu asked, taking a deep breath as the realization washed over her.

"Not really, no. . ." Midoriya admitted, looking apologetic.

"I see. . ." The frog teen mumbled, breathing out a sigh before a look of determination crossed her face. "Alright, let's get moving."

As soon as Shouto unceremoniously popped out of the purplish black mist, landing in some form of mountainous terrain, he found himself surrounded by villains. Most people would have freaked out at such a sight. . .

The youngest son of the Number Two Hero was not most people.

Though he could care less about his old man, he was still trained by him, and so he put those skills to good use, bringing the villains to standstill with a huge wave of ice. Only the villains’ faces remained uncovered, and all their unearned bravado went to ash as they recognized the danger they found themselves in.

After all, it’s not every day you get frozen where you stood by a teenager that looked more villainous than you do.

"I will only ask this once, and I will not repeat myself," Shouto announced as he approached a villain whose face paint reminded him of a circus clown. "Why are you here? Who do you work for?"

"Go to hell kid! I don't answer to you!" The villain growled, trying to look tough despite the icy predicament he and his allies were now in.

"Hmm, that wasn't the answer I was looking for," Shouto mumbled, unfazed by the man’s words as he inched his hand closer to the man's face. He was centimeters away from giving the villain even more incentive to answer his question when he suddenly noticed the man's eyes shifting toward something behind him.

He turned his head just in time to see a villain who hadn’t been caught in his ice wave get launched back by a jet of water after trying to attack him with a baseball bat in hand. The bat wielding villain crashed into a couple of his frozen villains before skidding along the ground, all of them now rendered unconscious by the impact.

"You really need to be more aware of your surroundings, Shouto!"

Said teen almost scoffed at the remark if he hadn’t realized who exactly the voice belonged to. Turning to his left, he found Yukino walking around a bunch of jagged rocks, the bottom half of her face hidden by her mask.

“Just because you froze all the bad guys that you could see, doesn't mean there aren't more lying in wait." She cheekily reminded him, placing a hand on her hip.

". . . Hmm, I'll keep that in mind next time," He eventually conceded, not finding too much fault with her logic.

“That’s all I can ask for,” She quipped before turning to the clown-faced villain. "Making a new friend?”

"We were just talking, but he’s not too chatty," Shouto admitted, turning back to his captive. "Mind helping me with this? You tend to get people talking better than I do."

"Hmm, let me see what I can do . . .," Yukino chirped, just as they heard footsteps coming from their right.

Not hesitating in the slightest, the two launched a huge torrent of ice about three stories high at the eight villains that tried to sneak up on them, freezing them right in their tracks. Though Shouto unleashed most of the ammo, Yukino ensured that the villains weren’t completely encased in the ice, keeping their faces uncovered so that they could still breathe.

The sight alone was enough to make the villain they were about to interrogate piss his pants, though thanks to the ice, he couldn’t feel it.

"So, now that that little hiccup has been dealt with, shall we try this again?" Yukino asked as the two turned back to said villain. "Who's behind the raid?"

"It's Shigaraki! He's the one covered in all the hands!" He exclaimed, looking between the two. "He sent a message out into the underworld, saying that he was gathering forces to kill All Might and to stick it to the heroes all in one go."

"And you couldn't help but jump at the call," Shouto grumbled, clearly not impressed. "And how exactly does Shigaraki plan to succeed in stopping All Might?"

"He said that the big lug with the exposed brain and bird beak was the key. He called him Nomu," the villain explained, his teeth chattering slightly. "He didn't tell us what it was capable of. All he said was that it was strong enough to do the job; that it was the key to this mission's success!"

"Too bad for you, cause that’s not gonna happen," Shouto announced as Yukino stepped forward.

"Thanks for the info. . . You can nap now," She said, taking out a small silver capsule from the pack attached to her belt. The villain and Shouto silently watched as she unscrewed the capsule’s top before flicking its contents at the villain, sending a dark blue powder right into his face.

"What the fu-?!" The villain exclaimed, only to cut himself off mid-curse as his eyes slowly drooped closed.

Seconds later, he was snoring.

"Sleeping powder?" Shouto guessed as Yukino closed the capsule before putting it away.

"Highly concentrated sleeping powder, to be specific," She clarified as she adjusted her mask. "I know quirk suppressing cuffs tend to be the way to go for the most part, but I figured it’d be a good idea to carry a backup option for certain occasions."

"It's definitely a smart idea, if a bit out of the box . . . How many of those capsules do you have?"

"Only four, now that I used one up, so, yeah, not enough to knock out every other villain in this building, unfortunately," She admitted as she looked around their surroundings. ". . . And speaking of villains, we need to get out of here and find the others before more of them come our way."

"Did any of our other classmates get dropped into this zone?"

"I sent a couple of clones to search the area before I found you. Aside from a small group of villains guarding the exit, there's no one else here but us," She explained as they started moving downhill. "They've likely been dropped in other parts of USJ though, and if this zone is any indication, these villains are gonna be crawling everywhere.”

"If they're smart, the others will head for the exit as soon as they get past the villains," Shouto theorized, his unfrozen brow creasing slightly. "If not, they'll probably go help Aizawa-sensei and your aunt in the plaza."

"And if we're lucky, we may pass the plaza along the way," He heard Yukino mumble, hearing the slight hint of worry in her tone.

It wasn't hard to imagine why.

Over in what is known as the Mountain Zone, Kaminari, Yaoyorozu, and Jirou found themselves back-to-back-to-back, fending off the surrounding villains as they protected each other as best as they could. They’ve been successful so far, but the trio knew that their luck was not going to last forever.

They needed a plan, and they needed one fast.

Luckily for them, Yaoyorozu already had something in mind.

"Does anyone have an idea for getting us outta here!?" Kaminari pleaded as he dodged a villain's fist, only to shock him when he tried for another hit. “I’m coming up empty here!”

“I know you just opened yourself up for a battery joke, but for the sake of the situation we’re in, I’m not gonna say it.” Jirou announced, narrowly missing getting slashed in the side by a villain wielding kunai in their hands.

"Luckily, I have an idea, but I need you two to buy me some time!" Yaoyorozu admitted as she knocked a villain away with her bo staff.

"How much time do you need?!" Jirou asked, looking over her shoulder.

"Can you give me another two to three minutes?" Momo swiftly asked.

"That doesn’t seem too long!?" Kaminari called back, trying to muster some sarcasm despite the obvious fear in his tone.

"That’s the plan . . . Trust me! If everything works out the way I hope for, we won't have to worry about these villains for that much longer!"

"Do what you need to do! We’ll cover ya!" Jirou called back as she kneeled on the ground, planting her fists in the soil. "HEARTBEAT FUZZ!"

As Jirou and Kaminari worked together against the continuously swarming villains, Yaoyorozu spent her energy focusing on her back. Kneeling, she looked like she was bowing in prayer as the fabric along her back began to expand, eventually ripping apart to release the insular blanket she crafted from her fat cells.

"Sorry about the wait, but it takes me longer to create larger objects than smaller ones!" The heiress announced before pulling it over herself and Jirou. "Kaminari, DO IT NOW!"

The blonde looked slightly lost at first at her words, but once he saw the girls hiding under the blanket, it clicked in his head, and an almost maniacal grin appeared on his face as he turned to the villains.

"You’re all screwed . . . INDISCRIMINATE DISCHARGE: 1,000,000 VOLTS!"

"Kaminari's attack should be enough to take out most of the villains out there," Yaoyorozu theorized, seemingly unperturbed by the sound of villains screaming in agony surrounding them.

"The one drawback though is that once Kaminari's attack is over, he’s going to be a temporary liability with that short-circuited brain of his. We’re gonna have to protect him until he's back to normal," Jirou pointed out, her eyes widening slightly as she noticed that something was seriously off with Momo's costume, well . . .

. . . her lack of costume, to be exact.

"Jirou, what is it?" Momo asks, following her gaze down to see that her entire top was shredded, which left her entire chest bare for her classmate to see. "Oh . . .”

“How are you not freaking out right now?!” JIrou briskly asked, gesturing at her friend.

“You grow used to it . . .” Momo said it like it was the simplest thing in the world, but was quick to clarify when she saw the disbelief cross Jirou’s face. “With a quirk like mine, you learn that clothing damage can be quite the issue if you don’t get clothing with fabric that’s conducive with how your quirk works. . . The larger the item I make, the worse the damage can get if I’m not careful.”

“Hmm, you did let the company we ordered our costumes from know about this particular aspect of your quirk, right?”

“I did . . . Though maybe I should have been more specific in where they should have utilized my DNA better when making my outfit.”

"Hmm, something to keep in mind for the future . . . Now then, shouldn’t you be creating a new top?! Like, right now?!" Jirou exclaimed, her face suddenly flushing red as she looked away from the taller girl. "Cause running around without a shirt on does not seem like a sound strategy to me.”

"Trust me. I have no plans of even considering that," Yaoyorozu said in return, slightly amazed by Jirou's reaction as she quickly got to work creating a new top for herself. "I'm not an exhibitionist, nor do I have plans to be one . . . Besides, I think I would die of embarrassment if any of the boys saw me in this state."

"Even Daisuke?"

Jirou didn't mean to say the cat teen's name.

It was simply the first name that came to her head.

Though in truth, she sensed that there was something . . . there between Momo and Daisuke, as if something could possibly build between them if it was allowed to progress with no interruptions, and if the heiress' reaction to hearing his name was anything to go by, her senses were not far off the mark.

Momo's face became undeniably red in mere seconds, her eyes widening as she shook her head and scrambled to put on her top, furiously muttering to herself, though Jirou could make some of the words out, like indecent thoughts, shouldn't think like that, and he must never know.

If Jirou didn’t know any better, it would have been easy to assume that Momo had forgotten about her presence as she got her bearings back together.

"Well, this is something to keep in mind for later . . ."

Back in the central plaza, Shouta and Shizuna continued to take down the villains, and had been doing a fine job at it up to that point. They even took down a few together, moving in a way that seemed almost natural to the naked eye, even though they had never fought together since back when they were students.

It was almost effortless at times, and it was enough to finally prompt one of the heavy hitters to join the fray.

"These guys just keep on coming," Shouta grumbled in his head as he narrowly missed getting slashed in his knees, jumping up to kick his attacker straight in the face. "But at least we're cutting down their numbers."

He continued to fight until a small movement at the corner of his eyes soon caught his attention. Moving fast, he turned in time to see that the villain covered in hands was heading straight for him.

"So, the ringleader has finally joined the fray. . ." The Erasure Hero whispered, dispatching his last villain as he spoke. “. . . Come and get me.”

Deciding to meet the villain halfway, Aizawa ran toward the villain at high speed. He dodged the villain’s outstretched hand, letting him grab his scarf instead as he sent his elbow straight into the blue haired man's gut.

It ended up being a painful mistake.

The Erasure Hero grimaced as a shooting pain raced up and down his arm from its epicenter, his elbow, which was now firmly held in his opponent’s grip.

"I'm impressed, Eraserhead," The villain rasped as he further tightened his hold on Aizawa's arm, sending another ripple of pain rushing through the limb. "Your quirk is pretty cool, but every quirk has a weak spot, and I believe I just found yours . . . After all, your hair is too much of a giveaway."

"Shit. . ." The hero grumbled, his hair quickly falling thanks to his need to blink. Once he reactivated Erasure, he punched the villain away and jumped back to give himself more space.

When he looked down, he couldn't help but grimace at what was left of his elbow.

"Damn, it’s decayed down to the muscle!" He thought as he took in the damage, and it was serious.

The bottom half of his left sleeve had crumbled away, revealing his latest wound for all to see. The skin that covered his elbow was completely gone, revealing the bright red that was his exposed muscle tissue. Thankfully, his enemy’s quirk did not decay the muscle itself, but the smallest movement of his arm would send jolts of pain throughout the limb, making it hard to ignore, but not impossible. . .

. . . After all, Shouta was well versed at fighting back pain during battle.

"I may be down an arm, but an injury like this won't stop me from stopping you and your allies." He declared, taking hold of his scarf with his good arm.

"Spoken like a true hero . . ." The villain mockingly spat as he stood across from him. "Refusing to give up even when injured . . . Damn, I hate that kind of resilience in you people.”

“Eh, it’s part of the job description,” Aizawa mused. “. . . You get used to it.”

“Well then. Allow me to remedy that by introducing you to my associate. . . NOMU!"

Suddenly, a huge shadow was covering Aizawa's body. Grimacing, he turned to see the large brute with the visible brain standing behind him, its right arm already poised to strike.

"SHIT!" He thought, knowing he had no time to dodge it.

All he could do was brace himself for the impact, but before he could comprehend what was happening, he suddenly felt weightless.

All he could see was blonde hair, and a certain katana wielder's name was barely on his lips before the creature's hand was moving toward her instead of him.

"I must admit . . . I am impressed," The portal villain conceded as he looked at the exit that Iida barely managed to get through. "You managed to get one of your own past me . . . The rest of you will not be as lucky.”

"I wouldn't get too cocky if I were you!" Thirteen exclaimed, flexing her fingers as the remaining students stood behind her, prepared to fight.

“A hero calling me cocky . . . The irony of such a statement,” The portal villain declared as his yellow eyes narrowed dangerously. "Do you really think your quirks are enough to stop your inevitable ends?"

"Let's put it to the test then, shall we?!"

The villain wasted no time answering the Space Hero’s challenge. He moved to attack, but Thirteen was ready, uncapping her pointer finger to unleash Black Hole.

She appeared to have landed a direct hit on the villain, but it was the sudden searing pain that erupted across her entire back that soon told her otherwise.

"THIRTEEN SENSEI!" Uraraka exclaimed as the Space Hero collapsed, the pain so unbearable that the woman quickly lost consciousness.

The students stood in shock and disbelief after having just witnessed the villain essentially pull a 180 on their sensei by using his quirk to open a portal to take in some of Black Hole, and then opening a second one behind the hero to unleash the quirk on her before she could suspect anything else.

"If only I was not your opponent," The villain mused as he looked down at his handiwork, his expression unreadable as Thirteen laid prone on the ground. The back of her jacket was absolutely torn apart, revealing the shredded bloody mess that was now her back.

"This is not good!" Sero groaned as Shoji and Uraraka immediately moved to check on their teacher. "How is she?!"

"Not dead, but badly wounded," Uraraka admitted, forcing her head away from the grisly wounds that lined the hero’s back. ". . . She's not going to wake up for a while at this rate!"

"He used his quirk to warp the effects of Thirteen-sensei’s quirk back on her," Shoji concluded, his eyes narrowing. "If he can do that, it makes emitter quirks practically useless against him."

"And physical attacks don’t look like they’ll do much to him . . . So, what do we do now?!" Sato asked as he kept his eyes on the villain. "We can't just sit around and do nothing!"

"Trust me, I have no plans on sitting on my heels doing nothing!" Uraraka bit back as she looked around at her remaining classmates. "Iida has gone to get help, and we can't let the villain go after him. . . We need to buy him time."

"As if I will let you even try," The villain threatened. "You children are a long way from matching my power."

“Okay, now he’s just gloating.” Sato complained, grimacing at the villain’s words.

"Look guys, we don't have to beat him," Sero whispered, looking around at what remained of their group until settling on Uraraka with a determined glint in his eyes. "We just need to keep him busy until help comes around."

"Agreed. . ." Uraraka mumbled, smirking slightly as her mind settled on an idea, one that could prove pivotal for what was to come.. ". . . And I think I have just the idea to do it."

"Eraser, you okay!?"

The man in question was currently sitting on his ass, his eyes wide in disbelief as they remained glued to the sight standing before him. After seeing that the hulking Nomu was standing right behind him, Shouta thought that a world of pain was guaranteed in his immediate future.

He had expected his body to be laid out on the ground, likely with the monstrous weight of the Nomu pinned right on top of him, but that never happened . . .

. . . And it was all thanks to the woman that he has had a crush on since they were students themselves all those years ago.

Said woman was now in front of him holding the Nomu's hand at bay, standing pat as she held the outstretched limb in a death grip, barely giving an inch.

Aizawa knew that Shizuna was naturally stronger than most people, but he never thought that she would be strong enough to stop the attack, let alone to stand toe-to-toe with a creature that looked more beast than man and could possibly bench press an 18-wheeler easily.

"EARTH TO AIZAWA! ARE YOU OKAY?!" She yelled back, her tone finally snapping him back into focus.

"I-I'm fine!" He exclaimed as he got back to his feet, knowing very well he was no help if he continued to sit on his ass like an idiot. "Thanks for the save Madam Blade. I owe you one."

"All in a day’s work Eraser! After all, if we're gonna get out of this, we're getting out of this together!" She declared, gritting her teeth as she tried to push the villain back, but to no avail. The creature would not budge. "Damn, how strong can this guy be?!"

"I have Erasure on, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on him," Aizawa grumbled, ignoring the childish rush he felt after hearing the blonde's sudden declaration. "His strength must be purely physical!"

"Just my luck. . ." Shizuna grumbled as the Nomu quickly raised its other hand. ". . . Shit!"

"MOVE BACK!”

Aizawa’s words came just before the villain could strike. The Nomu's fist ended up meeting the pavement instead of them, but the resulting burst of rubble did not leave the two heroes unscathed.

While Shizuna got hit with a particularly large piece of rubble right in her right shoulder, which would undoubtedly leave quite the bruise, Shouta grimaced as he felt the sting of a smaller piece of rubble gouging out the skin just underneath his right eye.

"That's gonna scar in the morning. . ." He thought as he quickly checked the wound, scowling at the amount of blood that dripped from his fingers. When he looked up, he saw that the Nomu was staring directly at them, but it was making no further move to attack.

It stood frozen where it stood, as if it were waiting for a signal to move. "That guy is creepy. . ."

"That guy is Nomu, the Anti-Symbol of Peace," The blue haired villain announced, though his tone was more irritated than boastful. "I brought him here for the specific goal of killing All Might!"

"Ooh, and how exactly is that working out for you?!" Shizuna mocked, and her words had the intended effect, if the clenching of the villain’s fists were anything to go by. "Now what Shouta?"

Aizawa looked at both villains, watching them with keen eyes until a sudden movement on his left caught his attention. Turning slightly, he spotted Midoriya, Asui, and Daisuke running up from the direction of the Shipwreck Zone, all of them wet, yet none looked the worst for wear.

"Well, since we have no idea how long it's going to take for the cavalry to arrive, we need to keep them occupied." Aizawa concluded as he turned to his fellow hero, who had followed his line of sight to spot the students for herself. ". . . It may be time to show your full quirk after all Madam Blade."

Shizuna's eyes widened at the man's suggestion, but she couldn’t begrudge him for suggesting it in the first place.

After all, she could barely hold Nomu back with just her bare hands.

If they were going to win this, they would need to use all the options available to them, and she had one big one that could help them turn the tide.

"Hmm, looks like I'll have to," She conceded, unclasping her katana from her belt before holding it out to Aizawa. He took it, never missing how the pupils of her eyes were slowly narrowing into slits. "You may want to move back a little, Eraser. Things are about to get hectic."

"Now what the hell are you trying to do now?" The blue-haired villain grumbled as he scratched the inside of his palm. "Some kind of new move?"

Shizuna simply smirked as pale smoke started emanating from her skin, her eyes glowing an eerie red as Aizawa slowly backed away from her.

"Yeah . . . something like that."

Notes:

A/N: Ah, time for my few things.

- Since Daisuke takes Mineta's place in Class 1A, he ends up being dropped in the Shipwreck Zone with Midoriya and Tsuyu in this story instead of grape boy, and I took some liberties in how they got off the boat, at the sacrifice of Daisuke's pants, among other fabrics. . . Considering he wears a bodysuit underneath, yeah, those pants weren't going to last forever. . . . Will it be a running gag? Let’s wait and see.

- You know how in canon Hagakure was with Shouto in one of the zones, but he and us, the audience, had no idea until the very end of the arc. . . Yeah, I was not having the same scenario here.

- The Jirou/Yaoyorozu interaction . . . I just wanted to mess with Momo a little, as well as show that feelings may be a little mutual between the heiress and our resident cat teen.

- Yeah, I had no plans to have Nomu crush Aizawa like it does in canon. I just see it as Horikoshi's way of nerfing his quirk so that it doesn't have such a strong impact in the storyline as it could have, though I must admit, it's a good way of showing that Aizawa is willing to sacrifice his body/life for his students . . . The scar's staying though. I like it.

- Yeah, I may have had Iida leave a little earlier than he does in the canon, but that doesn't mean the fight between Kurogiri and the remaining students isn't going to move forward.

Next chapter, we'll finally see Shizuna's quirk for real this time. For now, this is SandsnakeQueen, signing out!

A/N:
And there you have it, the groundwork for the AizawaXOC portion of the story. Chapter One will start us off with the Todorokis and the Onizakis as the day of the U.A. entrance exam arrives, with a bit of their history thrown into the mix. See you then!

Also, if you spot any grammar and spelling mistakes in here, please let me know in the reviews!

I hope you all enjoyed. Hope to see you next chapter! SandsnakeQueen out!
