YOU
You’ve seen what happens when it isn’t done right.
She screamed, writhed, knocked the candles over, broke the perfect circle.
They trusted you to fix what was broken. Now nobody trusts you anymore.
It can’t happen again.
You won’t let it happen again.
You aren’t ready yet, but you’re getting there. Getting the pieces together.
Getting everything right.
You see them. Nobody else sees them. They suffer, in pain, broken, ignored, forgotten.
That’s why this matters. They don’t deserve to be forgotten. You’ve never forgotten. They won’t let you.
Because once you heal them, once you do the rites, once you save them.
The demons will finally leave you alone.
Not yet though.
They remind you of what you did.
But nobody seems to understand that in work like yours…
You only have to win once.
