Chapter Text
As soon as Al Haitham got back to his apartment he was interrupted by a maid knocking on his door.
"Good morning Prince Al Haitham." She said calmly.
"I was instructed to inform Your Highness and General Mahamatra about few things."
"As you may already know our beloved King has recently passed away. In a few days the coronation of the next Light of Kshahrewar will take place. We are truly delighted that you will make your appearance on it."
"If you have any questions you can ask our royal physician, but I was told to make sure you're aware of that very important ceremony" She said as she placed a plate full of fruits on the table.
"With that said, I wish you a great day Price Al Haitham" She bowed deeply and left the room.
That is a perfect opportunity to gain some valuable informations. Thought Al Haitham as he tasted his breakfast.
His eyes widened when he felt the sweet taste of the meal.
Apparently all those tales about how delicious Kshahrewar's fruits were, were true.
He would've spent more time enjoying his meal when suddenly his door shut open and his General stood upon him.
"Al Haitham! This place is awesome!" He yelled as he rushed into the chambers of his Prince.
"The food, the women, the furniture! Everything is so beautiful! I'm utterly happy that I was sent here with you my friend." He continued sitting down next to his friend.
Let's not tell him about that physician yet. This might be a great comeback for all his bad jokes. Thought to himself Al Haitham.
"We do not have time delight ourselves with this place." The Prince said finishing his meal.
"We're here on a mission remember? I will stroll throught this palace today gathering all the informations about its layout. Your orders are simple. Investigate the gardens."
He demanded as he put down his place.
Cyno wasn't happy with that idea but he didn't want to argue with a Prince.
"As you wish" he said frowning.
That's right. We're here on a mission. We can't be distracting ourselves.
●
Cyno left his friend's chambers and was walking into the royal gardens.
This place is huge. Did he gave me that job to just get rid of me or did he knew that it will take a whole day of hard work to walk through this whole place.
He thought to himself as he set foot into the garden's path.
He took out his notebook and started writing.
- a lot of trees that you can observe the whole castle from
- huge trees
- a lot of flowers
- a lot of bugs
Cyno wasn't a big fan of nature as he spent almost all his life on deserts.
- whole variety of flowers. Decorative, poison, pretty smelling....
- few ponds (you can't drown anyone in them, they're not deep enough.
- beautiful woman collecting herbs
He stopped here and looked back. There she was. The physician he met on the first day here. She was gathering herbs near a flower shaped pond.
Well it's not like I'm in a hurry
Cyno smiled and walked closer.
"Hello miss!" He yelled as he got near.
Tighnari's ears jumped up as he looked back at the General.
He stood up and bowed
"Good morning General. Waht can I do for you?" He smiled.
"I was just strolling through these gardens looking for something beautiful, but nothing has caught my eye... well at least hasn't..." until now
Tighnari looked confused.
"Oh! Do you find herbs interesting my lord?" He smiled widely thinking he found himself a companion who shares his interests.
"We have a big variety of herbs in Kshahrewar! There are a lot unique plants!"
This time Cyno looked confused.
"Y-yeah herbs! I love herbs! Just as much as I love flowers! Yeah I am the biggest fan of nature! In my castle I collect every piece of nature I find beautiful!" He lied quickly trying not to make a bad impression.
"Really?" Said the physician. "Oh! I'd love to see that! Tell me what's the rarest plant in your collection my lord?" Tighnari said delighted that he can share his love for nature with a new friend.
"Uhhh... the rarest..." Cyno felt embarrassed as he didn't have any plants in his castle, moreover he didn't even had a castle!
"Hah.... yo-u know heh..." he looked around seeing Tighnaris confused face.
"Tighn-.... uhh.." He mumbled embarrassed knowing he is about to get exposed.
"Tignuh? Is this some local Haravatat flower? I've never been to your land but it seems like it's got a lot of mysteries! Maybe you could show it to me someday!" Physician grinned, his face practically sparkling.
Oh great Archons.
"Of course miss, I'd love to." He managed to say a few words surprised his lie hasn't been discovered.
For a couple seconds the world has slowed down for Cyno and all he could see was the physician's beautifull smile.
"Well that's a promise then" Tighnari smiled. "Would you like me to show you the gardens? I could present to you our rarest plants"
"Yes. I'd love to"
The fox's tail wagged slightly showing how happy he was about gaining a new botanist friend.
- To do:
- learn about flowers
- grow a Tignuh flower at all cost.
