Chapter Text

A warm sunny day. The Fount of Knowledge opened his eyes.

A field of all kinds of beautiful flowers. The air smelled sweet.

Someone suddenly grabbed his hands.

It was Healer.

The Fount’s lips curled into a smile as he blushed.

The healer took his hands into his as they danced around, not caring about the world.

Just the two of them.

For all of eternity.

He couldn’t be happier.

The Fount woke up.

His eyes open, slowly realizing his surroundings.

Healer is next to him.

He breathes a sigh of relief.

“Good morning.” The healer greeted.

The Fount was caught off guard, “Oh! You’re awake!” The Fount tried to downplay that he was staring right at him.

“It’s alright. I understand. Hard to tell if someone’s awake when they’re always wearing bandages on their eyes.” The healer acknowledged.

The Fount wondered, “Actually, why do you even wear those bandages? What’s the point?”

The healer gently answered, “Well, I just appeared with them. I can’t see anyway, so why bother taking them off?”

“I see what you mean, I guess.” The Fount placed his hand on the healer’s. “May I… see what’s under the bandages?”

The healer was surprised, then quickly realized that the Fount has not seen him without the bandages before.

“Oh. Um… Alright.” The healer reluctantly agreed.

The Fount’s hands moved to the healer’s eyes. Slowly removing the bandages.

His breath caught.

The healer’s eyes stared back at him.

One blue.

One yellow.

And a mark on his forehead.

Just like his own.

But instead it’s a four-pointed star.

The Fount could only stare.

The healer raised an eyebrow. “Why are you looking at me like that? Oh. I look hideous, don’t I? I should’ve kept the bandages on-”

“No!” The Fount immediately interrupted. “No! I just… You’re beautiful.”

The healer turned red. “Oh. You flatter me.” The healer tried to brush off, even though he had a smile on his face.

The Fount laughed. A genuine laugh.

“You should really keep your bandages off more often.” The Fount commented.

The healer covered his face with his hand. “Do you truly think so?”

“Of course! I’d love to see you like this more.”

These moments of his immortal life were nice.

But sadly…

They always had to be torn apart.

Someone knocked on the door.

Both the Fount and the healer stood up, trying make themselves look presentable.

“Sir?” Black Sapphire entered, but froze at the door.

“Am I… interrupting something?”

“Nope! You didn’t do anything. So uh, what are you here for?” The Fount tried to sound professional, actively failing.

“Uhh… I wanted to ask if you want me to do anything specific for the Virtue Meeting.” Black Sapphire mentioned.

The Fount’s eyes widened.

“Oh… Crumbs.”
