BREAK-IN GONE WRONG, ONE DEAD, ONE MISSING
Last night, August 3rd, a break-in occurred at a small condo, with a man and two children inside.
The victim, Brad Patterson, was suspected to have defended himself against the intruder. However, when 14 year old Megan Mercury entered the home—a horrifying sight was waiting for her.
There were several broken and overturned furniture and items missing. Most of these were food but other items included, jewelry, money from a child's bank, pictures.
Although Patterson's 6 month old daughter was unharmed, along with their two dogs, the victim was found lifeless in the backyard. He was found to have been stabbed. The murder weapon has not been found.
One child, Patterson's 13 year old brother in-law, Donovan Curtis, has not been found. It's suspected that the intruder came for him, as most of the items stolen belonged to the boy.
The Curtis family told reporters that they are left "broken" after this horrifying event. Katie Patterson, wife of Brad Patterson and sister of Donovan Curtis, provided a statement, "I just want my brother back. I already lost my husband. I just need my brother."
Donovan Curtis is approximately 5'2", has light brown hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey alien shirt and blue jeans.
