Chapter Text
Izuku sat with All Might in Nezu’s office with Mr. Aizawa and Nezu himself. He’d been hauled here by All Might the moment Recovery Girl had finished informing him about the level of permanent damage his arm sustained. Honestly, he didn’t really care that much. If he does lose use of his arm permanently, he can just rely on Transform to keep doing hero work. For some reason, saying as much made Recovery Girl really angry. All Might leaned over and whispered, “Let me do the talking, my boy.”
Izuku nodded. All Might’s the best! Always sticking up for him.
All Might glanced over at Aizawa and started, “Wow! Isn’t it so crazy that young Midoriya’s quirk awakened like that! And what a crazy coincidence that the awakening ended up looking kinda sorta like the League’s quirks, which I’m sure is entirely coincidencidental!”
Nevermind. All Might is an idiot. Izuku tried to salvage it.
“Y-yeah! My great grandfather on my father’s side had a copy quirk, so this must be a quirk awakening that manifests aspects of-”
“Midoriya”
“Yes Mr. Aizawa?”
“Shut up.”
Izuku shut his mouth. Nezu spoke up. “He knows, Yagi. I filled him in on what little was uncertain, but half the country knows.”
All Might coughed up blood. Izuku paled and asked, “How?!”
Nezu opened a laptop and clicked a button. The audio from Izuku’s conversation with All for One played.
Izuku scowled. “That bald jerk said it was completely soundproof.”
“It was! A reporter with an unlicensed line-of-sight based listening quirk broadcast your conversation over the news, resulting in the release of several national secrets. The videos are being taken down, but the damage is already done.”
All Might nervously fidgeted in his seat. “How much does everyone know?”
Nezu took on a serious tone. “Rumors are circulating. At the moment, the public knows about All for One and One for All. They do not know just how old All for One is, nor do they know that All Might was One for All’s former holder. They do not know about All Might’s fight with him nor his injury. The majority of the emerging theories paint Midoriya as All for One’s nephew, based on the ‘my brother’s quirk’ comment that was made.”
Izuku switched to mumble mode. “You know, technically that might not be too inaccurate. Quirks have always had a genetic component, and One for All does have a transformative function on the initial transfer to put the stored quirk factors in the recipient’s body. Plus, One for All’s quirk factor is present in theoretically every cell in my body which implies it had to alter my DNA almost completely. I wonder if All Might, All for One, and I would show up as genetically related on a DNA test?”
The entire room stared at him. Izuku chuckled nervously. “I’ll shut up now, sorry.”
Nezu quickly continued, “Anyway, that will be our official story. Yagi, care to share what the plan for the Symbol of Peace will be moving forward?”
All Might turned to Izuku. “The remainder of my power is dwindling. Soon enough, I won’t be able to do hero work anymore. I plan to announce my retirement soon, now that All for One is truly dealt with. The plan is to do it after the remainder of the league is located.”
Izuku looked down. “Oh. I’m sorry. It’s because you don’t have the energy stockpiler anymore, right? If you want it back, I have plenty of other-”
All Might interrupted with a hand on Izuku’s shoulder. “It wouldn’t do any good. Even with the power back, my injury limits me. It’s time for me to lay the Symbol of Peace to rest.”
Aizawa grumbled. “On the subject of the energy stockpiler, Yagi. I’d have appreciated knowing that my student didn’t have a quirk until the day of the entrance exam.”
All Might sighed and replied, “One for All was a secret by necessity. Imagine the implications of the public or the commission knowing that there are ways to permanently transfer quirks and that people can safely have multiple. We’ve already seen what happens when the concept is stretched to its limit. The Nomu are a horrifying result.”
Aizawa pinched his brow. “I suppose that’s logical. Still, it’s all public now. My immediate concern as Midoriya’s teacher is how to handle him learning six completely new quirks.”
Izuku spoke up excitedly. “Oh! I actually have a plan for that. I was thinking of giving most of them to my friends, since All for One said people can handle two safely. One person having tons of power is how Japan got into such a precarious situation with All Might’s retirement anyway. I’d rather use One for All to make the next generation of heroes better than to just better myself.”
Aizawa blinked slowly. “So you’re telling me that instead of one kid learning six new quirks, I’m going to have to deal with up to six kids learning a new quirk each?”
“It seems that way,” Nezu replied cheerfully. “Just make sure to run it by me before you give anything to anyone. I personally think that it’s a splendid idea!”
Aizawa slammed his head on the desk and grumbled quietly about problem children and needing a raise.
Izuku ended up giving Warp Gate to Aizawa because the nice cloud guy that appeared in his One for All dream asked.
He gave Magnetism to Ochaco because it’s good for long-range crowd control and rescue work. It also helps with her limited mobility while floating. As a bonus, it makes her even better at launching people into the upper atmosphere!
He gave Muddied to Iida as a joke. He said that it’d be perfect if Iida needs to cover up any more attempted murder. Concerningly, Iida didn’t seem to get the joke and thanked Izuku profusely. He said he would make great use of it. Nobody has seen him actually use it yet. He keeps saying he’s making great use of it. Everybody is concerned.
He offered Cremation to Shoto who already has the resistance for it, but he declined. He claimed that if he used blue fire and blue ice, his two-tone color scheme simply wouldn’t make sense. He decided to just give it to Mei instead, since using it without fire resistance would require specialized support gear. In an unrelated turn of events, Power Loader became an alcoholic.
Monoma started whining about 1-A’s dual-quirked members, so Izuku gave him a copy of the quirk bestowal quirk. He uses it to pass out his temporary quirk copies for training exercises. Ironically, giving him a second quirk made him even more of a supporting character.
Izuku decided to keep Power Stock. He’s pretty sure it’s alive. Every time he so much as thought about transferring it to someone else, it freaked out and started filling his brain with panic. Plus it’s the ultimate piece of ultra rare limited edition All Might merchandise!
He kept Transform for two reasons. Firstly, so he can ignore his injuries and break himself without consequences and so he can still be a hero when his body eventually breaks too much to be usable. Secondly, because it’s the ultimate way to cosplay as his favorite heroes at hero cons!
He kept Compress because it’s ridiculously overpowered and he doesn’t trust anybody else with the quirk that could release All for One from his marble prison with one snap.
Of the remaining league members, Shigaraki, Dabi, and Spinner were the only ones that stuck together. They kept the League of Villains name, but haven’t been as threatening since Kurogiri and All for One were arrested.
Magne joined the Meta Liberation Army to fight for free quirk use and rose in the ranks quickly.
Mr. Compress dropped off the face of the earth for a bit, before a similar masquerade themed villain calling himself Sir Compress began appearing on Gentle Criminal’s YouTube channel. Their group of three became fairly popular after taking part in and posting footage of several high-profile heists. The commission has no idea how to rank them considering they’re relatively harmless, but are also two individuals with extremely powerful quirks they are very good at using.
Toga and Twice stuck together on the streets for a few weeks before the Meta Liberation Army baited the two of them into a fight using Giran. Toga was injured and Twice finally decided to clone himself again. He used the measurements he still had to make several doubles of Izuku. The police later received several bags of marbles containing many high profile Meta Liberation Army members. Toga and Twice were brought to Nezu by the Izuku clones. They were both admitted to a mental hospital. Nezu has been working overtime scrubbing records to keep the commission from discovering Twice. Aizawa has been working overtime to keep the real Izuku from finding Twice and becoming a nicer version of All for One.
