Chapter Text
Alyssa's P.O.V
(gasp), I shot up out of my chair looking around my bedroom, I was late for something but after looking out my window I could clearly see it was the dead of night. I walked back over to my desk and looked down seeing a pool of drool all over my laptop keys. "Ewwww" I said to no one in particular. I grabbed a shirt off the floor and started cleaning off the keys. The feeling of being late still didn't leave me, even though i'm sure theirs nothing i have to do. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to think of what i'm late for.
my eyes cracked open "I have to go to the city!" I said to my empty room. "but Why?" I wondered to myself. "I guess if I remembered that I have to go I should go" I said continuing to talk to myself.
I grabbed my phone off my desk looking at the grey screen, and checking the time, 2:35 AM.
I started rummaging threw my drawers for the best stuff to wear, I feel like whatever im late for ill need to wear something acceptable.
"Oh my god, this would be easier if I could see colors", I groaned.
"Not being able to know what matches is the real curse of the world" then it hit me all clothes have the colors on the tags, but that would take forever and i'm already late. "Ill just take everything with me, I jumped up ransacking my drawers for anything that looked nice before running out of my room to go get suitcases.

Normal P.O.V
"I think I hear something downstairs" was the first thing Alex Young heard when he was shaken awake.
"What?!" he said to his wife Lena. "Listen" she said.
The sound of someone walking up the creaky steps and something being dragged behind them is coming from outside the bedroom. Alex quietly jumps out of bed and grabs his gun from the lock box in the dresser next to their bed, He tiptoes to the door and yanks it open and yells "FREEZE".
"Oh hey dad" said Alyssa as she threw some clothes in a suitcase.
"What are you doing, I COULD HAVE SHOOT YOU", says Alex screaming the latter part.
"No, you wouldn't have, this is like the third time you and mom have thought I was a robber" she said matter of a factly.
"What are you doing?" he pressed on ignoring her previous statement.
"I'm going to the city for something" Alyssa answered.
"Why?" her father asked confused.
"I don't know I have this feeling that i have to be in the city for something important" she said.
"Oh hell no" Lena said finally stepping out of the room.
"But Mom-" Alyssa began but was cut off by her mother,
"No, you still have to go to classes, you can't just go to the city and gallivant around, you have responsibilities".
" Mom, I swear I will go to all my classes. I'm not going to the city to party", Alyssa defended.
"I wasn't born yesterday young lady you wi-" Lena began but was cut off by her husband "Leave her be".
"What?!" Lena said.
" Our daughter is a free spirit and an adult,if she says she can stay in the city and keep up in her classes then we can't argue with her",
"But-",
"No Buts".
" Oh thank you daddy, you won't regret it" Alyssa said.
"You're welcome" Alex said before dragging his angry wife back to their bedroom and closing the door behind them. Alyssa smiled to herself as she continued to pack away her black, white, and grey clothes into her black suitcases.

Alyssa was making sure she had everything and even looked at herself in the mirror fixing her long black curls and letting her hand graze over her grey skin. Her parents never told her what she looked like in color, which she found utterly annoying. Alyssa jumped into her car and made a call to her friend who lives in the city but it went to voicemail.
"Hey, Ray just calling to tell you that i'll be stopping by your place and that i will most likely be crashing there for a couple of days.". 'A couple of days' she thought to herself, as she hung up her phone. She slammed her head onto the steering wheel groaning loudly.
"A couple of days, when was that apart of the plan, I have classes and hospital work" she said to herself in the car, and continued to slam her head into the steering wheel. It was stopped by her phone ringing, she went to grab it answering it without looking at the caller I.D. thinking it was Ray calling her back.
"Hey, Ray did you get my message about staying at your house"
"WAIT, you didn't even call your friend before getting everything into the car" It was her mother.
"Sorry, wrong number" Alyssa rushed out and hung up on her mom. It would probably have lots of consequences when she came back home. "This better damn important" Alyssa said to herself.
She started the ignition and put the car in drive and drove off into the unknown.
