It's You in Every Lifetime

Chapter 5: Announcement

Chapter Text

Hiiiii

First of all, I'm so sorry for my lack of update this week. Without getting too personal, life is lifing to the extreme right now and I'm struggling to keep up. That being said, I'm going to have to go on a brief hiatus from this fic.

I want to be abundantly clear when I say I am NOT abandoning this story at all!!! I am so excited to keep writing and exploring this world, especially with the disability representation. This is important to me, but unfortunately being an actual teacher is having to be my priority right now and my mental health is taking a nosedive trying to keep up with both. Things are going to slow down hopefully in a week or two after report cards and parent-teacher conferences are done and I will be back to a more regular updating schedule. Again, I am not going to quit writing this story forever but don't want to a) put out anything but the best work I can and b) completely burn myself out to the point writing is no longer enjoyable. I will be back, hopefully by mid-October!

Until then, please go read my other stories (they are all finished!) and feel free to leave comments on this one about what you'd like to see!! I also understand if this is where I lose you as a reader because there's not regular updates. As much as I hope that's not the case, I appreciate you being along for the ride this far and hope to see you again very soon!!

This is not the update I wanted to give and I'm very sorry. I'm incredibly disappointed in myself and very sad that I'm having to take such a dramatic pause on something so lifegiving to me.

See y'all in a few weeks!

MykEE

Notes:

Hi! I'm back!

Honestly, not entirely sure where this story is going, but I really wanted to write *something* so here it is! If you have any ideas or things you'd like to see the Party (because they will be involved!) do in a modern setting, let me know!

Also, just to clear up something that will probably come up later; there will be several non-canon disabled characters. I will do my absolute best to write them with as much care and grace as I can, but always want to listen and learn from other communities! I have a bachelors in Deaf Education, minor in ASL studies, and taught Deaf Ed for two years (currently working on my interpreters certification). I've been in several disabled spaces, as well as have chronic illnesses myself. All that to say, I want to be sensitive to other people's experiences so PLEASE don't hesitate to point something out as inconsistent and I'll do my best to fix it!

Okay, enough of my rambling! See you next week!
