Spoke turned his gaze on to the lake when the sound of wind charges came, Commander glided towards Spoke and landed on the spot Ash was a couple of seconds ago "Spoke, what's next Wemmbu's still out there he kept pushing past the city of gods to a place no one's ever been, there are resources here but I don't know if they're enough to continue this war" Commander spoke.
Spoke was quiet everything was going downhill, he had just lost hundreds if not thousands of null soldiers in the farlands and he didn't even obtained the orbitals but at least they had one less problem, Y̶o̶u̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶d̶i̶f̶f̶e̶r̶e̶n̶t̶ now they were in some blown up Palace
M̷a̷k̷e̷ ̷t̷h̷e̷ ̷r̷i̷g̷h̷t̷ ̷c̷h̷o̷i̷c̷e̷s̷ ̷"Alright commander once we all get the resources here tell all of null to go back to the stronghold via nether portal" Commander nodded equipping their elytra and flew away. Soon enough several nether portals were built and Spoke found himself at the stronghold, head down on the long table sleep deprived of planning ways to somehow solve their problems
They could lock up access to the End?
No Cindercrest controls like 10 out of the 128 portals!
They could attack Cindercrest?
Not enough materials plus they have a mace user!
They could use the wither cannon?
And basically repeat what happened in the farlands!
All of it was ineffective as Spoke lifted his head, pen in hand and a fresh paper ready to try keep his mind stable when the elevator came down, Commander flew and stood beside the mountain of crumpled paper next to Spoke looking concerned "when's the last time you've slept?"Commander asked "like 3 days ago I think" Spoke responded with raspy voice but there's no time for sleep he needs to figure things out on how to win this mojang damn war, Commander seemed to understand the situation, thought for a moment and said
"I have an idea, but you might not like it"
"anything to end this war"
"how about you fake your death"
"wha- how does that solve the problem"
"from my knowledge about large scale armed conflicts is that when the leader dies or loses it usually means the opposing side wins, the invisible mafia is an example of this"
Spoke bit his tongue at the mention of the mafia "so were gonna let them win and kill us all?"
"well you know how you and a bunch of other people defeated the leader of the mafia?"
"what you think they're gonna spare me"Spoke stated
"No, after you guys defeated him, did you go kill all the remaining mafia members?"Commander asked
"well no they didn't deserve to die because they were forced to join- ohhhhh I see, but how?"Spoke said
"let's discuss about it after you get some sleep first and also you do know consuming too much caffeine is almost fatal" Commander said pointing to the other mountain of coffee packs
Spoke knowing what he'd done agreed "fine"
THE PLAN
The plan was to create a fake enchanted totem, give it to a null soldier disguised as Spoke, they keep the fake totem in their inventory and show it off to the enemy but not hold during the battle to prevent it from popping, then have them on the front lines and purposely die by the enemy then Commander swoops in to take the fake totem so that Wemmbu and the others won't take it and find out it was a fake, Spoke was taken back by this as they have to sacrifice another null but it was better than nothing "a lot of null actually stepped forward and I eventually chose fJdu3NfK8Pd" Commander explained. After that fJd looked practically identical to Spoke plus he has a voice changer
"Oh mojang now there's two of you" Commander said jokingly
"Hey what's that supposed to mean?" Spoke questioned
"Uhhh because two Spokes are better than one?"Commander responded, Spoke decided that was a good answer when
A null soldier came in and looked confused at the sight of two leaders but Commander approached them and talked about something in their null language? Spoke can't really understand it since the null is a different type of voidling a "underworld voidling" Commander said a while back and Spoke meanwhile was an End voidling.
Soon their conversation ended and Commander rushed towards Spoke and told him that Wemmbu was advancing towards them with an army.
Spoke rushed to put on the armor of a regular null soldier but slightly different netherite helmet trim to tell him apart from the others but it isn't really distinct once you actually take a closer look.
THE BATTLE OF THE STRONGHOLD
The army rushed in to position the weather was on neither side as it was rough the sky was dark, heavy rain and high winds filled the air. Spoke could see them approaching, Wemmbu with his mace in hand, Jaden launching himself in the rain with his trident, Parrot and Cindercrest? Well that's kinda ironic he did pissed them off a couple of times but geez and
is that the same mace user that attacked one of their strongholds fighting with Theo over a donkey?
he couldn't find Egg in the crowd maybe they've hidden him somewhere else. Spoke stated to have only 600 null to fight with extra resources so they won't suffer much casualties and also some of the wraith
while the remaining were told to head back to the end civilisation, sure they're wasting resources but they could regain it soon once this war ends
The sound of a call goat horn was heard and the battle began, weapons clashed netherite met netherite as the storm raged. Spoke was trying to fight as well to not look suspicious he slashed, kicked and stabbed any soldier without the null shield, he missed using his firework crossbow as he used it a lot and it could give himself away-
A tnt cart suddenly exploded near Spoke launching him to a building wall hitting his back, he instinctively tries to keep focus and as the smoke clears,
Spoke sees a yellow avian with sunglasses. Theo of course the cart user Spoke thought, he locked eyes with Theo for a second then Commander flew down to fight Theo, as they recognise Spoke's helmet. Theo shouted something and a woman with a blue scarf l ̷l̷i̷k̷e̷ ̷c̷o̷r̷n̷f̷l̷o̷w̷e̷r̷s̷ ̷came swinging her sword swiftly
Meanwhile Parrot being the skilled one in archery was shooting spectral arrows at fJd so Wemmbu could focus. The wraiths on the other hand were targeting the mace user that attacked one of their strongholds and Jaden was fighting one of the Generals
As he watched a white firework suddenly shot out signalling retreat Spoke looked around and saw Wemmbu with horror on his face, Parrot behind him looking stunned at the sight of
fJd's on the ground with a broken helmet a missing boot and a sword through their chest as their body fading slowly into dust. Time stood still for a moment, the sounds of weapons clashing in the background fading until
Commander rushed in and grabbed the fake totem next to fJd's body then signalled the rest of the null to fall back into the end, Spoke snapped out of it and followed a a lone tear tracing his cheeks full of regret, he couldn't turn back now
Soon they entered the end along with the remaining null and went on the flying machine. They were less than a hundred which was devastating. The machine eventually reached the civilisation and Commander instructed them to restock and rest for a while then flew off.
Spoke dropped down the machine and restocked in a corner then walked around checking out the surrounding area and passed by the house that was supposed to be for Egg and Wemmbu being demolished for his previous statements.
He arrived at the central tower with several luminous northern lights surrounding at the top, he stepped on the elevator and pressed the noteblock going up. He reached the top and saw Commander next to the dragon statue
"so did it work did it look like they believe it? "Spoke asked "they looked pretty convinced" Commander responded
"Alright now I need a new outfit for my new identity"Spoke said
"And a new name" Commander added
"yeah we'll get to that, outfit first tho" Spoke stated
Spoke spent a couple of hours writing down the design of his new outfit, a few green accents there and a red star on the hat "There we go, this is it" Spoke exclaimed "I'll send this to the tailor and see what they think"Commander replied until
A null general rushed in looking bathered
Commander saw them and asked
"What happened"
"they-they've captured a number of our troops" They said
"What!?"
"They've let me go but told me to deliver this letter
"well what does it say?"

People of Null
We have recently captured a number of your troops and we are willing to negotiate with the following instructions
Please meet us at the center of the Northern Council in 3 days at sunrise. You are permitted to bring the max number of 10 reinforcements
We will guarantee the basic survival and protection of said captives from harm
In exchange for further more instructions once we meet in the designated location we requested
If you don't comply we will simply execute them and finish what we've started by continuing to the End
"By ParrotX2" Wemmbu read
"Does it sound threatening? cause I just want a peaceful meeting with them "Parrot said
"I don't know about letters but we have to at least make some back up plans incase they suddenly attack" Wemmbu warned
"alright ill hire 4C to install some contraptions IF they actually attack"
Parrot responded holding a finger up
"So how do we deliver it?"Theo asked
"How about we give it to one of those guys" Jaden said pointing at the captured null soldiers "You with the red trims come here" Parrot commanded the soldier stood up and approached Parrot
"We're gonna release you but give this to your commander" Parrot said as he gave the soldier the letter and gestured Theo and Reina to lead them to the exit
Parrot then went to an empty room locked the door and sat down with his knees. near his chest as tears began to fall at the lost of another friend

"3 INCH NETHERITE ELEVATOR SHOES!?" the tailor exclaimed "I mean we could use diamond as a base then netherite outside" Commander assured "fine but this is gonna take me two days straight to make" the tailor explained "alright I'll leave you to it" Commander said with a thumbs up.
