Chapter Text

Oscar glared angrily at the giant Franco Colapinto cut out in his room, first the kid handed him a fire-hazard of a comb and now this. Posters of Franco and various Alpine stickers were even stuck all over the wall.

"They got you too huh?" Lando remarked as he surveyed his teammate's room, McLaren needed to spend more budget on security. "Will you finally give up on the no evidence thing because this is clearly Alpine's doing?" Lando pointed as he turned to Oscar expectantly.

Instead Oscar asked him a question "What do you mean they got me too? What'd they do to you?". Lando began to glower at the cardboard Franco "Somehow they managed to change my luggage into something a kid brings to their first day of kindergarten".

"It is adorable though, it's shaped like a dinosaur," Lando added as he placed his hands in his pockets "That isn't what upsets me, it's the fact that they managed to accomplish it without me noticing". Oscar scoffed "Like that's particularly difficult, you get distracted by every little thing".

Lando put his hand up "That's not on me!", his gaze once again travelled to the entire room taking note of the posters and the stickers. "They did quite the makeover here," Lando said voice filled with both awe and annoyance.

Truth be told, he wasn't offended or mad at the pranks at all, he was simply a little annoyed that he kept being bested. "I guess it is time for me to take part in this prank war," Oscar admitted reluctantly, Lando beamed happily.

McLaren vs. Franco wasn't entirely truthful when it was just Lando and Franco targeting each other, now it was McLaren vs. Alpine. Oscar raised an eyebrow "What did you do to make the other Alpine driver angry?".

Lando shrugged, he was as clueless as his companion was "I'm not sure, he was suddenly all gloom and doom". Oscar crossed his arms "Do you even have an actual plan for your pranks?".

The Briton placed a hand on his chest in mock offence "Oscar, quit asking me questions and actually offer help". The Australian shook his head "I'm taking that as a no, well since I am aiding you now, we'll make a plan of action".

Lando groaned exasperated "I'm starting to regret asking you to join, you make this whole prank thing so boring". "If you want to make a successful prank, you need a plan of action," Oscar explained sternly.

Lando rolled his eyes as he moved to cross his arms "Whatever, I guess we can start planning our act of vengeance". Oscar grabbed a notebook and a ballpen, unfortunately both were decorated with Alpine logos, "Let's begin".

"Are you kidding me?" Kimi complained, he was biting the inside of his cheek to suppress a smile. The steering wheel of his car had been replaced by a plastic one resembling the steering wheel from Mario Kart.

George's car had a steering wheel from a pirate ship, Kimi placed one hand on his hip "I thought that the car was off-limits for the prank wars". A Mercedes engineer shook their head "No, it was off-limits for you and George, doesn't say anything about us".

"It's only off-limits during the qualifying, sprint or the actual race," The engineer pointed out "Free practice is free real estate". Kimi actually laughed at that one, he couldn't argue with that, not after the series of pranks they put the staff through.

Once he and George were given actual steering wheels, they began their first lap on the track ten minutes into the first free practice. It seemed that the prank didn't escape the commentators and they decided to broach the topic.

"The Mercedes drivers seemed to have quite a bit of trouble with their steering wheels there, a little bit lightheartedness is nice to see on a race track," David Croft observed as the camera panned to the Mercedes motorhome. "It's amazing how they can still do pranks amidst the whole ritual thing," Martin pointed out "It's like entering a campsite despite all of the rumors around it".

"I'd say the whole Curcedes thing is a hoax," David remarked as the Mercedes cars start their flying laps "Though they started late, both cars are in the top five already". "Maybe the other teams should start their own prank wars, perhaps it would do them some good," Martin replied in complete agreement.

When free practice 1 ended, Kimi was p1, George p2 and Max P3, it was quite the surprise considering everything Mercedes went through. "The ghosts didn't hinder your cars then?" Max teased when he congratulated Kimi at the end of the session.

"Who knows? Maybe I am possessed by a great F1 racer," Kimi replied in the same manner, a huge smile was pasted on his face. After everything that happened the past few weeks, he was glad to at least have some happiness.

He wouldn't receive any points from it but it was a reminder that their abilities weren't hindered. They say after a hurricane, there comes a rainbow, perhaps it was time for the rain cloud above Mercedes to disappear.

Arvid found Isack drinking a Red Bull in front of... well, the Red Bull hospitality which was good because the Racing Bulls driver had something to confirm with him. "Isack, are you and Franco in a romantic relationship?" Arvid asked bluntly, if he went around the topic, he'd probably lose the courage to ask the question.

The Frenchman turned to Arvid confused, he had been zoning out for the past few minutes and hadn't heard what the Racing Bulls driver had said at all "Oui?". The other's man's mouth fell "Really? Why?", Isack blinked, had Arvid asked him a question?, he'd said what he said in hopes Arvid might repeat what he previously said.

Apparently it was a question, that made things complicated, Isack was about to come clean and admit that he hadn't heard what Arvid said at all when the other man patted his shoulder. "Tell Franco congratulations," Arvid's face was glowing with happiness which for the lack of a better word was weird.

"Damn, I never thought he could do that," Arvid continued as he stepped away "Thanks for the answer, I have to go, bye!". Isack waved goodbye back awkwardly, why did he need to tell Franco congratulations???.

He'd heard from Max about the Argentine's prank wars with Lando, did he win? was it over?. Isack shook his head sighing softly, he should confirm it with Franco once free practice 2 ended.

The session ended with Kimi Antonelli still on p1, Max on p2 and Oscar on p3, Isack himself was only p6 which wasn't bad but it really wasn't good either. Once, he'd gotten out of his racing gear, he made his way to the Alpine hospitality.

"Franco isn't here," Pierre answered after Isack voiced his question "He's probably at Mercedes, don't know how he accomplishes it though with the ban and all". The Alpine driver placed his hands on his hips sternly "Be careful when you go there, wherever Franco goes, Lando's prank follows".

Was it Isack's imagination or did Pierre seem angry when he said Lando's name?, Isack pushed the thought away, it wasn't his business. He said 'thank you' before making his way to the Mercedes hospitality, he wasn't sure whether he'd be let in but it was worth a try.

"Isack, what are you doing here?" Kimi muttered confused when he was face-to-face with a Frenchman who definitely wasn't there before. The Red Bull driver looked as shocked at him "How did I get in here? I was walking to Mercedes, I hadn't gone in yet".

Kimi sighed in a frustrated manner "GEORGE!!! Something weird and supernatural-y happened again". Kimi's teammate entered the room hands covering his ears "Gee, Kimi, can you yell any louder? I'm annoyed enough by the animals already".

"At least a bright yellow orb isn't following you around," Kimi retorted, he flailed his hands as a bright circle appeared in front of him. Even Isack had to squint his eyes at the brightness, George on the other hand grumbled about how at least the light disappeared from time to time.

Isack stared in disbelief, what exactly was going on in Mercedes?, he knew it was haunted because Max told him and the elder wasn't someone he pegged to be a liar. Clearly, there was more than a haunting if one of their drivers were being followed around by a bright light.

"Um... Was I pulled here because of a ghost?" Isack asked hesitantly, the two Mercedes drivers froze in their movements remembering that there was another driver in the room from another team. Kimi narrowed his eyes "You believe us? You don't think this is some elaborate prank?".

Isack shook his head "Not really no, I blinked while walking and ended up here, not sure any of your pranks could accomplish that". The Red Bull driver crossed his arms as he took a step towards a chair, if they were going to have a long conversation, he might as well sit down.

"Besides Max told me about the apparition, he doesn't joke about anything so I'm quite positive you guys are cursed," Isack remarked as he sat on the farthest end of a black sofa. He didn't know where he was, judging from the decor however, he was in a driver's motorhome not in the Mercedes hospitality itself.

Kimi and George tracked his movements unsure what to do with him, finally, George made an exasperated sound "How many of the rival teams know our problem?". "Each one," Fred answered as he entered the room with a pizza box in hand "You live streamed it remember".

Isack noted that the three drivers all had animal necklaces, so that gossip account was telling the truth after all. "Not like they can do anything mate," Kimi pointed out "Our car is still better, a podium would dispel the rumors hopefully".

The Italian opened the box and stepped back in horror as he saw what was inside "Hawaiian pizza Fred? Really?". Alex came in with three more pizza boxes "Don't worry Kimi, we ordered more, you don't need to eat from that box".

Kimi sighed in relief as he jogged over to Alex, Luke traipsed in behind Alex carrying soft drinks and muttering about why he had to be there. Isack frowned, since when did this group become normal?, he watched them argue over who would get which slice and how many each one should get.

It was sweet in an odd way, three Mercedes drivers and two from Williams, who knew a summoning ritual could make such a combination?. It was Fred who noticed him first "Why's Isack here? He should get a pizza too".

Isack gingerly accepted the pepperoni pizza handed to him, it was an extremely delicious pizza. "Don't know," Kimi answered between bites of pizza "He just teleported here in the middle of the room for no reason".

Luke shrugged as he drank a cup of coke "Maybe one of us have teleportation powers". Isack nearly choked on his pizza "Powers?", Fred sat beside him "Yeah, we're not sure if all of us are possessed but we definitely have powers except Kimi".

Isack watched as the bright light started circling around Kimi's head, Fred pointed the pizza in his hand towards Kimi "See? All he has is that bright light, it comes when it wants though it isn't present all the time". "GUYS! I HAVE POWERS TOO!" Franco yelled as he entered the room cheering "You're having a pizza party without me?".

Luke gave him a deadpan stare "Mate, we now have weird powers on top of the possession thing, we deserve this". Kimi raised an eyebrow skeptically "Why would you have powers anyway? You didn't take part in the ritual".

The yellow light beside Kimi shook as if it was agreeing with him, Franco scowled "It's true, I can control any nearby electricity like a car, just like James Bond in that one movie except I can control a car from far away without a controller". Alex pouted as he finished a slice of pizza "How come his powers awakened before mine and Luke's?".

Isack's head was spinning due to the overload of information, he should focus on one thing at a time, like clarifying something with Franco. "Franco, Arvid asked me something I thought I should talk to you about," He said and the room immediately quieted.

Every eye in the room fell on Franco, most of the stares were filled with disbelief. The Argentine forced a laugh as he walked towards Isack and grabbed his arm "Let's not talk here".

The Frenchman allowed himself to be dragged away, he placed the empty cup of coke on the table that Fred gave him as they passed the door. He was curious why Franco was so panicked, mainly, he felt concerned because the Alpine driver was a known troublemaker.

"Why did we have to go outside for this conversation?" Isack asked when Franco stopped in an empty hallway, "It's embarrassing if we do it with other people in the room," Franco answered pushing Isack into an empty room.

If this was a horror movie, Isack would probably be dead with the way he just accepted what happened to him. "Arvid told me to tell you congratulations," Isack said as he remembered the Racing Bulls driver's odd request.

"I can't believe none of them believe that I'm going out with you," Franco lamented as he shut the door. Isack was once again confused for the nth time that day "What?".

"Is that not what Arvid asked you?" Franco inquired, his voice got smaller as he kept talking. "I didn't actually hear what Arvid asked and I was heading here to ask you about it," Isack admitted "Apparently, you told him we were dating".

Franco threw his hands in the air "It came out of nowhere! Arvid thought you and Liam had the hots for each other so I intervened and saying I was dating you just slipped out". Isack rubbed his forehead, he could feel a headache coming "First off, never say had the hots again and second off, why?".

The Argentine looked away guiltily "I was panicking, I'm sorry for roping you into this but please don't tell him". "Fine, but I have one condition," Isack requested, Franco's eyes lit up with hope "Sure, what is it?".

"Don't fall in love with me," Isack answered smiling cheekily, Franco buried his face in his hands dramatically "Mate, I thought it was going to be something serious". "I'm only agreeing for the sake of helping Liam and Arvid get their head out of their asses," Isack pointed out as he placed his hands on his hips.

"Wow, Isack, I love you too," Franco wiped away a fake tear from his eye, Isack rolled his eyes "You didn't say any other white lies did you?". Franco looked at the ceiling, "Franco, what did you do?" Isack demanded.

"I may or may not have told Liam that Camara and Tsolov were dating," Franco answered not looking Isack in the eye, the Frenchman stared at him horrified "You did what?". "It's okay right? We can just make sure both of them never hear about it," Franco stated nodding to his own words, Isack resisted the urge to face palm, what did he get himself into?.

The yellow light following Kimi around had left him alone which was good, Kimi focused on the track in front of him, he could not afford any mistakes. He blinked as he saw what was written on the physical pit board.

"What's this?" David Croft remarks as the camera zooms in on the pit board, "Is your mechanic in the garage today? Whatever could that mean?" The commentator added both confused and amused at the same time.

The Italian had forgotten about the fact that the Mercedes staff still don't believe him about Olie. Also he was pretty sure Olie was in the garage because where else would he be?.

"It's probably a joke or a running gag," Martin Brundle replied as the camera angle switched to Kimi's car "I doubt they are actually referring to a specific mechanic but it is rather curious". "Mercedes it seems may be intent on soaking up as much media attention as they can," He continued laughing.

The sprint race proved to be more amusing than the other free practices. Franco had been a victim of a prank himself, someone (Lando probably) had stuck a horrendous amount of tear-offs on his visor.

The prank was a statement, it confirmed to everyone that Alpine and McLaren were involved in their own prank wars. Kimi once again was p1, Lando this time was P2 much to Franco's chagrin and surprisingly P3 went to Charles.

Kimi wiggled the tupperware in his hands experimentally, he'd spent all night baking cookies that he's forgotten how many he baked. The Italian was just glad that Fred offered to help write the fortunes.

He pulled out the list of names in his pocket, Fred had written out how he should give the cookies in order so Kimi wouldn't forget it. Kimi wasn't sure why the order mattered but he had accepted the paper anyway.

The Italian peered at the box curiously, its smell wafted through the air and made him crave cookies. Fred was jokingly called a fortune-teller so Kimi was rather intrigued if these cookies could genuinely predict the future.

If he recalled correctly, the interviews would start alphabetically by team and the drivers in that team. So Franco would be first because they were going through surnames not first names, well, Franco would've been first regardless but semantics.

Kimi read the first names on the list, so he'd be going to Max first then Isack, he surveyed the truck to see where the Red Bull drivers might be. He immediately started walking towards the corner where Max, Isack, and Charles were talking.

"Max, get a fortune cookie," Kimi said as he opened the tupperware and held it out to Max, the Dutch Lion looked baffled by the offer but he took one anyway. "Fortune cookies, can I have one?" Charles asked as he peered at the tupperware.

"Isack has to take one after Max, then you, that's what Fred said," Kimi answered as he let Isack take a cookie once Max got one. "That sounds suspicious," Charles remarked as he grabbed a fortune cookie anyway "This isn't part of the prank wars is it?".

Kimi shook his head "No, not really, we just thought it would be amusing, if you're suspicious you don't have to eat it just open it". Max huffed amused as he opened the cookie then his face paled.

"Kimi, that's so mean," Isack said as he read what was inside the cookie, "I didn't even write what was in the cookies, Fred did that, I don't know what's in the papers besides its scrambled," Kimi said defending himself and shaking the tupperware for good measure.

The Italian sighed "If you got something bad, that's just bad luck mate". "Hate to say it mate but he's right," Max stated, Kimi smiled as the Red Bull driver came to his defense.

"What does it say anyway?" Charles asked curiously, he was so enamored with their drama that he hadn't opened his cookie yet. "Break a leg, more like break a wrist," Isack answered as his mouth formed a thin line.

Charles looked at Max expectantly, the four time WDC winner didn't return the eye contact "It's stupid". Kimi frowned, that was unlike Max, usually he'd just say it how it is.

The Monegasque simply shrugged his shoulders and didn't pry, he held the fortune cookie in his hands and opened it "You'll lose someone you love". Charles blinked, sadness flickered in his eyes, Kimi did not think this through.

He stepped away from the group and headed to find Lewis who was thankfully chatting with Franco, Alpine was next after Ferrari. Kimi checked to see who was being interviewed and it turned out to be Nico, Aston Martin was done already, he needed to hurry before it was time for Mercedes.

The Italian made a mental note to apologize to Charles later, "Lewis, do you want a fortune cookie?" Kimi was starting to feel like a girl scout. The Ferrari driver turned to him cutting his conversation with Franco short "A fortune cookie? Can't hurt".

Th Argentine gave him an odd look, Kimi stared at him "You're supposed to get one too Franco". The Alpine driver narrowed his eyes as he grabbed a cookie from the tupperware "I don't trust this at all".

Lewis opened his fortune cookie and his smile dissipated, Kimi was concerned, did WDC's have bad luck with fortune cookies?. It didn't make sense to him, why would you let a stupid fortune inside a cookie affect you?.

"You will get what you deserve, open parentheses, in a positive way, close parentheses," Franco read the words on the paper out loud as Lewis fell quiet. "Your fortune cookies are odd," Franco murmured as he ate the cookie, so much for not trusting the whole thing.

As much as Kimi wanted to know what Lewis' fortune was, he was in a time crunch and he doubted the fact that Lewis would tell him anyway. "Pierre! Have a cookie," Kimi said offering the tupperware to the Frenchman, Lance and Esteban stopped their conversation intrigued at whatever Kimi was doing.

"Can I have one? I'm a little hungry," Esteban asked politely, "Every one is supposed to get one but I have an order to follow, I'll give one to you after I give one to the McLaren drivers," Kimi answered as Pierre grabbed a cookie. Esteban laughed "Sure, I'll be here waiting for you, you better not forget".

Kimi nodded before he left, he didn't stay to wait for Pierre to open his fortune cookie, Ferrari was getting interviewed already meaning McLaren was next. Lando, understandably, was reluctant to accept a cookie.

"That wasn't me, that was Franco," Kimi pointed out as the McLaren driver accused him of being responsible for something that happened at McLaren. It's not like Lando can prove his assistance anyway.

Oscar nudged Lando, a baseball cap covered his face making it unreadable, "Accept it, it's just a cookie". Lando rolled his eyes and grabbed two cookies giving one to Oscar.

"You will get an awakening," Oscar read out loud the same time as Lando who said "Misunderstandings part 481". The reigning WDC gave him a look of disbelief "Whoever wrote these fortunes need to get creative".

He stuffed the fortune paper in his pocket and the rest of the cookie in his mouth as he walked to the interviewer. Kimi turned back to Oscar, he could see the Australian's eyes, they were focused on something behind Kimi.

The Italian turned around concerned but found nothing, he was worried that the light had appeared behind him. Kimi said goodbye to Oscar because the look in Oscar's eyes was scaring him and he needed to get one more driver duo out of the way before he got interviewed.

He walked back to where Esteban and Lance was earlier, Fernando had joined them in conversation while he was gone. The Haas driver took one of the fortune cookies without being prompted, Kimi laughed at his enthusiasm "Lance, you and Fernando can get one too".

"Thank you then," Lance said as he took two handing one to his teammate, Esteban read his fortune out loud "You will meet your hero, that's nice". Lance frowned "Mine just says do it".

Fernando showed his paper to Lance "Mine says don't do it, that's rather vague, don't do what?". Kimi stifled a laugh as he stepped away, it was just in time too as George's interview had just finished.

The interview was standard, the questions were mostly simple like "How does it feel to be on pole again?" Or "What would you say to younger drivers like you?". At least there was no mention of Curcedes, the interviewer however did point out the tupperware he was holding.

"You have quite a lot of fortune cookies there," The reporter pointed out, Kimi laughed softly "Ah, I thought it would make the race more interesting". The reporter laughed amusedly at his answer "Psychological warfare then?".

The Italian smiled "Maybe, maybe not, I can hand you a fortune cookie after the parade, I have more to spare". The reporter mirrored his expression "I'll hold you to that then".

Once the interview concluded, Kimi went towards George who was talking to Alex. His teammate looked at him "You here to hand us a cookie?", it seemed his cookie delivery had reached George's ears or the birds told him.

It wasn't hard to notice really, considering the fact that they were in the same truck, "Yup," Kimi answered popping the p. George, unlike Lando, didn't hesitate to take a cookie which was shocking since he was Kimi's main prank victim.

"I'm not going to eat the cookie," George answered when Kimi asked him why he was so compliant, the Briton handed one cookie to Alex who accepted it eagerly. George was lucky that Alex was written after his name or he would've ruined the line up.

Alex raised an eyebrow curiously "Your cats will betray you," the Williams driver look utterly confused by the words "By what? What does betray mean exactly?". George scoffed "You shouldn't take the fortune cookie seriously, besides I don't think you need yours to be as specific as mine is".

The Williams driver looked at the paper in his boyfriend's hands "Sleep with one eye open, for your safety don't sleep at all". Kimi raised his free hand defensively when George gave him an accusatory look "Don't look at me, Fred wrote it".

With how much he'd defended himself, he could be a lawyer, remembering that if the truck stopped he couldn't hand out the rest of the cookies, Kimi made his leave. When he passed Carlos, Ollie, and Gabi, Kimi handed one cookie to each of their open palms.

He yelled to open them before running to the remaining drivers who were thankfully talking to each other. Lady Luck was on his side, hopefully he didn't use up all of his luck here.

"I'm not eating this," Arvid said as he opened the fortune cookie, the rest of the group except Nico Hulkenberg shared his sentiment. The Audi driver decided to eat all of the cookies to not waste them.

"Mine says I will find inner piece," Liam said "If only, with the VCARB admin, I doubt that's possible". "Mine only has confusion on it," Arvid replied as he opened the paper "I'm confused right now".

"At least it isn't a pun," Checo countered not bothering to say what was in his paper. Nico frowned "Why does mine say you will get robbed?".

Entering the area where Lando parked his car was surprisingly easy, McLaren should really get better security. After disabling the cameras, courtesy of Franco's new ability, the two Alpine drivers approached their target.

Pierre thankfully didn't question it when Franco said a friend of his who was a hacker helped him. The Frenchman must only care about getting back at Lando, he didn't care about which methods they used to do it at all.

"We have to hurry before the event Lando is attending ends," Franco whisper-yelled, it was hard to be inconspicuous while carrying bright pink bubble wrap. "It isn't my fault you're completely shit at scheduling," Pierre replied in the same tone of voice.

How nobody noticed them was a miracle, if anything went wrong, Franco could just rely on his bracelet, it could make him invisible for some time, it was his secret for now. It was quite ironic since it was Oscar who gave it to him and now Franco was using it against McLaren.

The Argentine sized up the car in front of him, the bubble wrap they brought with them would be enough. "At least you aren't shit at calculating," Pierre murmured as he grabbed a handful of bubble wrap from Franco's hands.

"He's going to hate the color pink after this," Franco hypothesized as he followed Pierre's action, he said his apologies to the car internally. He almost felt sorry, almost, if only Lando hadn't played that visor trick on him.

Pierre nodded in agreement "Not like he didn't before, his hair is still pink mate, Lando hasn't dyed it back yet". Franco had forgotten about that fact, to be fair, he was too busy running away from Lando to get a proper look at his face.

The rest of the time after that was spent completely bubble wrapping Lando's beloved sports car rather than on conversation. "It's beautiful," Franco whispered in mock awe as he stepped back to gaze at their magnum opus.

The once orange car was now a beautiful, pink eyesore, now the only thing that was left was covering it in glitter. Technically, what they were doing would count as illegal but if no one was there to catch them, then they wouldn't be arrested.

"When my fortune said pink everything, I did not think it meant this," Pierre stated as he observed the covered car in front of them. "Yours said pink everything? They clearly picked and chose which papers to be more creative on," Franco replied as he stood up straight and fixed his posture.

Franco lifted his wrist to check his watch "We better go, the media event he is attending will be ending soon". Pierre took out his phone and snapped multiple photos of the car "Let's go".

The two Alpine drivers both looked at each other, a huge smile encompassing both of their faces. Then they ran as fast as they could outside the building.

Once the adrenaline rush had died down, Franco turned to Pierre and voiced the question in his head for the past week "What made you so angry at Lando anyway?". His teammate's face darkened "He nearly ruined my relationship".

The Argentine felt his ears perk up, "I wasn't aware you were dating anyone to begin with". Pierre had a surprised expression, he realized that he had misspoke, instead of simply dropping the topic he shook his head "Promise me you won't reveal this information to anyone".

Franco nodded, hiding a relationship was easier than keeping the existence of multiple ghosts. Though, he doubted the fact that it was easy for Pierre to trust him, he appreciated how his teammate was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

"It's with a driver like us," Pierre explained keeping it vague, Franco wasn't offended at the lack of a clear explanation, he would've done the same if he was in the Frenchman's position. "Lando did something that made him think I was ending the relationship," Pierre ran a hand through his hair "I don't think he really meant it because nobody knew we were in a relationship but the damage was already done".

Franco tilted his head "If Lando did it by accident why prank him back?", Pierre shrugged his shoulders in a noncommittal manner "To get some steam off mainly, but just because he didn't know, it doesn't really make what he did right". "He should be careful what he says next time," Pierre continued, his entire demeanor was tense like he was preparing for an attack.

Franco was really curious who Pierre was dating on the grid but he decided not to pry, it was Pierre's business not his. "Hey, at least we managed to wrap his car in pink bubble wrap," Franco said in an attempt to lighten the mood.

It worked, Pierre laughed softly as his demeanor softened "True, you know I meant to ask you about something I had heard". Franco raised an eyebrow "Ah, is it one of those nasty rumors?".

The Frenchman thought about it before shaking his head "It is a rumor, though not a nasty one". Franco crossed his arms as a smile appeared on his face "Aim away then".

"Is it true that you are dating Isack?" Franco froze in place, how the hell did Pierre hear about that?. He was going to strangle both Liam and Arvid when he saw them, Franco laughed, it sounded fake even to his own ears.

"Where have you heard that?" He remarked, Franco probably looked suspicious to his teammate. "It is fine Franco, I'll keep your secret since you are keeping mine," Pierre said to calm him down.

"I can teach you some French if you'd like?" Pierre offered, not knowing what to do Franco nodded. "This is really funny if you think about it," Pierre chuckled as he spoke "An Argentine in love with a Frenchman and a Frenchman in love with someone from Japan".

Franco mirrored Pierre's laughter until Pierre finished speaking, Japan?, only one driver came to mind. "YUKIERRE IS REAL?!" Franco shouted as the realization settled in.
