Chapter Text
Infectious laughter filled the air. “You can’t touch the moon, silly.” a little boy’s spoke. His snow colored hair brushed against his shoulder. “Yes, I can!” another voice, a female’s, puffed. Her jet-black curls bounced to the flow of the breeze. He stared at her in awe, a small frown creeping onto his lips. “Uh Hey..” the girl looked at him in confusion. “..What do you want to do when you're older?..” He asked, squishing her cheeks slightly.
She stared at the ground blankly, her eyes suddenly lighting up with stars. “I’d become a Hunter!” She said proudly. “A.. Hunter? Why choose that?” He asked, letting go of her cheeks. “I’ll have more freedom to do whatever I want, and help people.” She looked him in the eyes, moving closer towards him. “And one day.. I’ll come back and we can travel the world together..” She smiled softly, taking his hand. He stared at her before smiling. Someone cleared their throat, caughting their attention.
His smile vanished seeing the two women behind them. “Hurry up, It’s time to leave.” One of them said, disgust hidden in the tone of her voice. The little girl let go of his hand and went to her mother, waving him goodbye. “Now don’t be like that. You’ll see ‘her’ again tomorrow.” said a woman, with a big gown, hat and visors. He stared at the girl as she left, already counting the hours until they would meet again. For he had already missed her company.

A hooded male sat on top of the roof of a small house. His pearly white hair danced with the wind, his clouded blue eyes stared into the darkness of the night. He out-stretched his hand towards the moon, as if he was holding it in his hands. ‘Liar.’ He thought bitterly. Her smile, forever engraved in his mind. Her touch, It was always so soft and comforting. The sound of her laughter, Always made his day. The way she would always comfort him on his bad days, He felt safe around her. She never blamed him for any of the things he did. She was like his safe haven, the one person he felt most comfortable around.
‘It’s been 5 years since I last saw her.. Would she even remember me?’ He stared at the fields of land, listening to the sounds of the waves crashing against the shore. He ran his fingers through his hair. “Where are you?” He mumbled out loud. Meanwhile, a girl sat near a window, reading a book. “Where are you?” the girl looked up from her book, her breath hitched, startled by the sudden voice. She stared at the dark hallway before placing her book down. “Just wait a little longer for me..”
