Chapter Text
Izuku moaned as his stomach clenched in pain.
He thrived in bed wanting some relief from the throbbing in his abdomen. His mind felt hazy and he wished to be free of the pain that coursed from within and made its' way outward. He whimpered when he a large warm hand place itself on his abdomen. The warmth, ever so slightly relaxing the muscles there and easing the pain.
"There, there Izuku. I know it hurts now, but you'll feel better soon," a comforting and familiar voice washed over him. His brow furrowed as he forced his eyes to open. His vision was too blurry to make anything out clearly. But he swore he knew that voice. But it didn't make sense, why would they be comforting him?
"L'nch R'sh?"
Izuku heard a warm and safe sounding chuckle.
"Close baby. I know you're not feeling good and I haven't been able to be around, so I understand it might be a little confusing."
Izuku closed his eyes and sighed.
"D-Dad?"
"Oh, did he already wake up?" a new and deeper voice spoke up.
"Yeah. I think he'll fall back asleep soon though."
"D-Dad?" Izuku repeated with more urgency and confusion.
"Easy Izuku, I'm right here. I'm right here. No need to worry my little string bean."
"W-Who...?" he tried to ask as pain and exhaustion coiled throughout his body.
"Right. Izuku, when you wake up next, I'll introduce you to grandpa, alright?"
"Hn?" Izuku responded. Grandpa?
"Easy Izuku, he'll be here. No need to try and get up when you're not feeling good. Hey dad, mind helping Izuku rest for a bit? I need to get back to work."
"Of course Hisashi. Hopefully when you return, you'll bring Inko along with you. It'll be nice to have the whole family together for dinner."
"Sounds delightful dad. Just make sure dinner is edible this time hm? I don't really want to cook after work you know."
"You make it sound like I'm a bad cook."
"You killed a man with toast before dad. Just let Kurogiri do the cooking. He seems decent at it. Or better yet, order out. I'm sure you have a favor or an exuberant amount of money just lying around somewhere."
"I see why you came back. To have access to my funds."
"Hey, you have plenty of compensation. I did get you several ins at the Hero Commission didn't I?"
Izuku was confused. What were they talking about?
The conversation only grew fuzzier as sleep claimed him, releasing him from the aches and pains of his body if only temporarily.
Two days is all it would take for the "secret ingredient" to take effect in the populace's food. By this evening, the world would think him dead, or perhaps kidnapped if they were particularly stubborn.
No matter. Soon enough he'd have his darling little wife and his excitable little son back where they would be kept safe and sound from his father's upcoming little upheaval of society. Hm... he wondered if Izuku would want to take up cooking lessons under his "old man".
Yeah, that would be fun. The whole family enjoying a meal made with him working with Izuku. Yeah, that sounded nice.
"Thanks for the food Lunch Rush!"
He gave a friendly thumbs up as the student walked to their table. Perhaps he'd teach Izuku how to make Katsudon? Or maybe one of Inko's favorites, Yakisoba. Aw, that would be so cute. He had no delusions Izuku was a mama's boy. He was sure he'd be happy to learn to make her favorites.
"No way! That's sick man-"
Of course, he'd have to keep the knives away from him. Why, he recalled trying to stab his dad a few times at that age. Ah, youth. Such a wonderous time.
"I hope Deku feels better. He didn't look too good after class yesterday."
"I should believe so. He has already taken the appropriate measure of staying home to recover quickly from his ailment."
Lunch Rush looked over to a rosy cheeked girl who normally ordered rice and cheap vegetables, and the near copy of Ingenium who followed. So, they had taken notice of his little boy early on huh? Interesting.
"Mmm. And you're making copies of your notes for him?"
"It is as my responsibility as the Class Representative to make sure that our fellow classmate does not fall behind in his studies."
Were the two friends of his boy? His son hadn't really mentioned friends since he was little. Then again, they hadn't had the opportunity to talk about his day to day life, what with Hisashi trying to keep his family life separated from the toxic society that was hero relations.
He'd have to look in on if the two were worth... recruiting. If he recalled correctly, Miss Rosy Cheeks was on financial aid. And money was a good motivator. As for the stiff Ingenium kid... Well, he may or may not be worth the hassle. He'd have to see if something came up that made him more susceptible to his offer.
After all, Izuku deserved companionship. It was healthy. They just needed to be approved by family first.
