Chapter 2

Summary:

Short little addition. All fluff

Chapter Text

“It’s time, sunshine.” Tommy looked up, being greeted by Wilbur. “We can wait-”

“No,” Tommy said, giving him a small smile, “I’m not sure about you but I’m a little sick of waiting.” Wilbur gives him a small smile.

“Me too, Toms,” He says. He extends his hand and Tommy takes it. The door open and Phil’s smiling face is waiting for him.

“Hi mate,” he says. “Rooms ready for you.”

“I hope the cola can is there,” Tommy goes for humour and he gets a chuckle out of Phil and a snort from Wilbur.

“Of course, don’t insult me like that,” Phil jokes, ruffling Tommy’s hair. “You better come out, the others are waiting to see you off.”

“I would say ‘I'm not dying’ but well…” Tommy says, flashing a feral grin. This is what breaks the slightly tense atmosphere as Wilbur laughs and Phil lowers his eyes to hell, whispering for strength.

“Wilbur if you do not bring your fledgling out here so we can see him off, I swear to god, I will turn him,” Techno shouts. This gets a growl from Wilbur, who pulls Tommy closer.

“Techno-”

“Yes, I know he’s sensitive, that's not instincts, that's just Wilbur,” he says and Tommy laughs. “See, the gremlin agrees.”

“I am not saying anything,” Tommy says, hands up.

“Coward,” Techno says, finally in view as Wilbur slowly ushers Tommy forward.

“You don’t have to see him over the next few months,” Tommy grumbles.

“Stop, both of you,” Phil jokes. “If we wanna start before midnight, we better get a move-”

“Tommy! Big Man! No longer human Tommy!”

“Hi, Tubbo,” Tommy says. “Hi, Ranboo.”

“Are you nervous?” Ranboo asks. “I was.”

“A little, but not about the turning, more about the blackmail to be honest,” Tommy says, grinning up at Wilbur who smiles, nodding.

“Oh absolutely. Flash off, of course,” he says, eyes darting to Phil who nods in approval, “but I’m taking this opportunity while I have it.” Tommy rolls his eyes, smiling.

“I am now insisting you all move,” Phil says with a chuckle. “Wil, you know the way?” Wilbur nodded.

“Of course.” Phil nodded before moving to Tommy, locking eyes with him.

“Now, this is just a formality, a thing I do because I want you to feel welcome.” Phil smiled at him. “Tommy, do you consent to this turning?”

“Yeah,” Tommy said, a smile spreading across his face.

“Okay. As the leader and as someone who cares about you, I accept you into this coven.” He pushes Tommy’s hair up and gently kisses his forehead. “From this moment on you are a part of our coven. You will be ours, and we will be yours. You will never want for anything, for as long as you chose to stay with us. You are free to leave at any time should you want to or choose to, we will not force you to stay. Knowing all this do you still consent?” Tommy blinked rapidly.

“Yes,” he said softly. “Please.” Phil nods, letting Tommy’s hair flop back down over his forehead.

“Come on, Toms,” Wilbur says, nudging Tommy softly, “We better get going.” Tommy nods, taking his hand before allowing him to lead him out of the room. They’re silent as they move away towards the main room, moving to the darker areas of the mansion. They move silently together, the air calmer. They eventually reach the turning room, and Wilbur opens the door. No light was seen from either side.

“Why so dark?”

“When your senses shift and heighten, everything will be too much. We have to re-introduce you slowly, or else you might overload,” Wilbur said, helping Tommy into the room.

“Can you see?”

“My vision is not crystal clear, but pretty clear yeah,” Wilbur explained. “I can also still faintly hear the rest of the coven.” Tommy jumped up on the bed, yawning. Wilbur smiles, some deep instinct (not really that deep in him, to be fair) in him feeling satisfied that his fledgling, his Toms, was here, with him, about to be turned. “You ready?” Tommy smiles and nods.

“Yeah, it’ll be like a break,” Tommy says. “And heaven knows I don’t get enough of them.”

“Your words sunshine, not mine,” Wilbur jokes. “It’ll be slow and soft as can be, I promise.”

“Just like falling asleep?”

“Just like falling asleep,” Wilbur confirms.

Tommy is cuddled on his chest, head tucked into Wilbur’s neck, seeking heat as his body slowly loses human body heat. It’s soft and Wilbur is screaming into the link, relishing in the last few hours of being able to because soon, Tommy’s mind will pick up on the coven link and he’ll have to be quiet.

They’re all waiting to feel his presence in the link, wondering when he’ll feel it and how he’ll acknowledge it.

Wilbur had been confused, it being felt through the leak. Techno had been exhausted, slightly angry but mostly ashamed that he’d failed. Ranboo had been a sort of frightened contentment, afraid to hope but trying anyway. And Tubbo had been a sort of loneliness that decreased and gave way to love.

Wilbur has no doubts it’ll be chaotic and Tommy-like and he’s excited about it.

Unconsciously, Tommy shifts forward a little, and Wilbur coos softly. He runs his hand through the blonde curls, letting his eyes close as he takes the moment in.

It’s a subtle puff of breath that tells Wilbur that Tommy’s heart had stilled completely. The boy is still and Wilbur holds his breath, willing his body not to tense because he knows this will happen and refuses to have Tommy’s first moments as a vampire involve him being tense or Tommy uncomfortable.

Tommy shifts slightly, barely a movement but Wilbur feels it and exhales, a smile spreading across his face.

It’s a soft sort of click, not audible but deep inside Wilbur. A small click that tells Wilbur’s that the coven is complete, that this person, his Toms, is a missing piece he didn’t know he needed and if Tommy’s immediate relaxing even further is anything to go by, he feels it too. The others do too if the feeling of contentment tells him anything.

“Welcome home, Tommy, we’re glad you’re here.”

Wilbur feels an overwhelming feeling of love hit him and he wills himself not to cry. They’d be happy tears but Wilbur just smiles. There’s time for that later.

There’s an eternity for that, Tommy curled up with him, his dad and brothers just outside the door, waiting until they walk out with open arms and safety.
