Chapter Text
At this point you knew two things; one, that the company didn’t care what you did in the building just as long as you were in the building, you could just do whatever you want, and two, never question when things suddenly seemed to pop up out of nowhere.
The second one was relevant in this situation as you stared down at the waterpark and pools that were just off the side of Gator Golf, Roxanne off somewhere in the control room with Montgomery as the two had mentioned they wanted to try and get the water features working for ‘maximin fun while we’re here’ in the best way Roxanne could’ve said, though as you felt someone tap your shoulder, you looked over to see Chica holding up a small Fazbear franchise bag of something.
“I’m assuming you probably didn’t bring anything for swimming, so I went and used some of my money to get ya something, cupcake!” Chica was always so sweet when it came to thinking of you, always bringing you snacks and other things when you were cooped up in your office and always the first to greet you when you came in for your shift, though as you opened the bag to take a peek inside you couldn’t help but raise your eyebrow at her, watching as the young woman began to nervously smile under your gaze. “Roxy helped me pick them out.”
Purple and green dominated most of the bag, a stark contrast to the bright pinks and lime greens she would’ve picked out on her own, though as a rush of water started all around the large room you watched the waterpark roar to life, water beginning to shoot everywhere as somewhere, somehow, you could hear Roxanne let out a loud ‘fuck yes!’ at their achievement, Chica letting out her own excited squeal before she clasped your hands in your own, nodding her head over in the direction of the toilets, “just give me a squawk if it doesn’t fit and I’ll get you something else.” And then she was off, Chica heading straight for one of the pools and diving in as graceful as an aerobics instructor could, slightly green in envy at the slim but toned structure of her legs as you trudged yourself off to the bathroom.
Compared to the rest of the pizzaplex the bathrooms tended to be darker, but this one was practically spotless the moment you walked in — sure, you knew that once people knew about the waterpark that this place would become as permanently filthy as the rest, but you relished in that satisfaction as you closed yourself into one of the bathroom stalls, staring at the uniform on your body before you shook your head. Management wouldn’t get on your case as long as you were prepared in case of anything, so you stripped and folded your clothing into a neat pile next to one of the sinks, staring at yourself in the mirror for a moment before you chuckled.
“Damn, those bruises are still there?” It had been a few days since you had gotten them, but thinking back onto the accidental run-in with a cleaner both you had done a few days ago, you pulled the rashie and shorts on, adjusting the tightness to your liking before looking at yourself again, doing a small twirl in order to check if it looked like it fit. Chica must’ve gone one size up given the rashie slightly bundled itself at your waist, though you had to give her the benefit of trusting her gut when it came to sizing, nodding in approval before you reached behind your neck and removed the tag to the small set, laughing slightly as you noticed the teeth-like pattern that circled your waist; this was definitely a Montgomery themed set. Opening the bag yet again to put your uniform inside, you noticed a hint of pink at the bottom and pulled it out, though a little turned into a lot as the towel unfolded in your hand, watching as the cupcakes revealed themselves in all their glory printed against the neon pink of the fabric.
How sweet.
Hearing shouting, you were quick to shove both your uniform and the towel back into the bag, rushing out of the bathrooms just in time to hear a big splash in the main pool, watching the water jump out and spray down onto a laughing Freddy and Montgomery, and yet as you closed the gap between yourself and the side of the pool to see whom the unlucky soul was, your eyes met Bonnie’s and you couldn’t help but snicker slightly at the pout he was giving to the other two, the bowler treading water as the makeup he usually wore during the day ran down his face and into the water. Seemed like Freddy and Montgomery had thrown him into the water with the way that he threw rather colourful but playful language at the two, watching as he threw water at the other two men as they laughed.
Poor man probably hadn’t even gotten a chance to change out of his uniform since he had been late due to an accident involving food on the ceiling earlier in the day, but yet as you had placed your bag down near the others and offered out a hand to the man in the water, you watched as Bonnie gripped your hand tightly — then you found yourself suddenly in the water too, Bonnie laughing with the other two the moment you surfaced, sucking in a deep breath of air before you turned your attention to him, beginning to splash water at him as you laughed, turning your face away from Bonnie as you splashed at him until he climbed out, watching as he half wobbled to the bathroom with the bag he had been lucky to have dropped before being thrown into the pool.
After that, it was surprisingly peaceful for the new few hours — well, as peaceful as a bunch of young adults could be when given free roam to test out a new facility before it would be open for the public the next morning.
The night was warm, the pool was cool and everything was just right, and yet as you floated with one of the pool noodles that had been found nearby underneath your arms, you watched as Chica and Freddy ran around one of the play structures for tots, each brandishing their own water pistol as they shot at each other, running around the structure as they laughed, Bonnie and Roxanne both having disappeared off somewhere, presumably to get some sort of snacking food, and where was Montgomery? Well, you know how alligators float along with their limbs all stretched out and their head above water? He was mimicking just that near you, the young man’s eyes shut and oddly quiet as he floated around and if you hadn’t seen the water near his nose move every time he breathed you would’ve been sure he was dead. Eyeing at his hair that sat flat against his head, you reached over gently and began to play with it, feeling the product that never seemed to wash out in between the strands as you rubbed at it.
Monty stirred, one of his eyes opening to look up at you and without his shades you couldn’t help but get lost within the bright colours of his eyes. Watching as he tilted his head further back to let his mouth come above water, you saw the gentle smirk on his face as he looked at you, “You’ve got a thing for me hair, haven’ ya?” He mumbled, leaning into your hand gently as you could see his legs tuck themselves underneath him and onto the pool floor, anchoring him in place as he kept his neck and below under the water as you let out a gentle hum.
“It’s just really soft, just like you.”
“Oh really?” Montgomery’s attention was on you fully now, both red eyes open and staring at you as if you were prey, though the playful glint in his eyes remained, “you’ve seen me break things a lot, haven’t ya, boo, you know I’m anything other than soft.”
“Those aren’t your friends, Monty, you can always get new couches.” You couldn’t count the number of times you had walked into his room and seen a mass of broken items, but yet as Montgomery stood to his full height in the shallow water, you found yourself doing the same, your hand finding itself slipping from his hair and onto his cheek as he placed one on your own, the other finding the small of your back as he laughed.
“But do you know what big and tough guys like me always get? What they want, and I want to kiss you.”
True to his word, Montgomery kissed you in the waist-deep water of the pool, and you, you kissed back.
