Summary
Control has always been in the hands of anyone but Oliver Berry, whose life has slowly been wasting away in a Joja Corporation cubicle. And when handed the option to leave that life behind, he takes it without a second of doubt, diving headfirst into his grandfather’s legacy as the farmer of sleepy Pelican Town. A bright light illuminated a small corner of the otherwise pitch black room, a phone annoyingly buzzing on the hollow wood of a nightstand. Grayson begrudgingly rolled over, reaching over for the device as his eyes squinted in its direction. It was fairly late at night, probably past midnight. It didn’t come as a surprise to see a certain blonde’s face besides the messages displayed across the screen. Sam had always found a reason to text the farmer nearly every night, keeping the both of them up far longer than they should’ve been.
