Summary
A question burned in his throat. Finally, he asked it: “What can I do to make you to stop?”
(Truth be told, he’d give her anything she asked to keep her out of those mines. She just had to name the price. All the money he could muster, all the precious metal he could pluck from the earth. He’d be her scarecrow, standing out in her field, chasing birds away from her crops if it meant she’d stay inside and just sit still. Just let her bones heal. Her budget was infinite. If she wanted it, it was hers.)
The Farmer considered him, her eyes tracing all along his face. She shrugged her good shoulder, shook her head. “Nothing.”
______________Long past midnight, The Doctor is awoken once again by his most prolific customer.

Summary
“You deserve better than this.”
Aurel paused, spoon hovering over his bowl as he glanced over at Wyll. “Oh, come now, Gale’s cooking isn’t that bad. At the very least, he’s certainly gotten better now that we have access to the Last Light’s kitchens.”
“Not the food,” Wyll said, fondness flickering in his gaze in spite of the sad tilt to his mouth. “…I fear I’ve done a poor job of courting you.”
“A poor job of — what?”

Summary
"That's quite enough now," the frog decided, and with one enormous leap from her hands, it landed in the water with a wet plop. Eszara gasped in delight, wading out up to her shins to watch it dexterously swim away. She turned, her face bright and ruddy with the small adventure they'd taken here, and Wyll—he swallowed, thickly. It occurred to him then that she wasn't afraid of him in this new devil's form because she simply didn't know any better.
But maybe she also...knew better, than to ever be afraid of him.

Summary
"You want to go down this road?" asked Shadowheart. "At least do it well. If you need a fake date who’s pretty, charming, and distracting for both yourself and others? Who won’t take it too seriously, but also won’t fuck it up by being embarrassed the entire time? You don’t ask me. You ask Astarion.”

A year after their adventuring party officially disbanded to enjoy their fame and immense wealth to the full, tiefling wizard Rosalie (reluctantly) asks Astarion for some help with a large, fake-date, ex-girlfriend sized problem.
