Chapter Text
I couldn't get up from my room, no matter how hard I try. The fatigue of being alive was so heavy that it kept weighing me down in my messy bed, with the pillow slowly sliding off. The days seemingly blur into a kaleidoscope of colors, my senses dulling.
But I kept fighting the fatigue to dress myself decently and left the apartment. The scenery while to the place I kept walking towards was blurry, and yet I suddenly see a flower shop nearing me. I stared at the front for a moment before going inside.
The shop keep greeted me and asked what flowers I wanted. White chrysanthemums, purple hyacinths, pink carnations, white lilies, white roses, agapanthus, hydrangeas, lisanthus, forget me nots, pink and white orchids, poppies, daisies, and blue irises. They gave me a look of sympathy before asking what they would like me to do with the flowers. I asked to arrange them in a flower basket.
I waited for a few minutes, and the shop keeper showed me the flower baskets. They were beautiful and were perfect. I thanked them and paid for everything. I left the shop and went on my way to the place where I need to go, especially on this day.
The gates were maintained well, with the black paint shining under the sun. I entered and greeted the guard, before moving inside. I placed down my flower baskets and sat down near them.
"Hey, little star. How are you? I'm doing fine now. I still miss you, but I'm trying to move on for our sakes. I hope you're happy wherever you are now." I said solemnly.
I sat there for many hours, until I noticed the sun setting. I stood up and dusted my clothes, leaving no residue of cut grass on me.
"I'll visit you whenever I could. I'll see you in the future, goodbye little star."
With a still heavy heart, I went on my way back to the apartment.
"Papa! Wake up!"
He woke up to the sound of his daughter's calls.
"Baby..."
"Papa, papa. I love you!"
"I love you too."
"You need to wake up papa!"
"What...?"
"Wake up!"
Underneath his bed, a box full of baby clothes and toys were hidden.

For you were a star burning so brightly, even for just a moment.
I whispered upon the wind with promises that were already broken. The gentle caress of the always pragmatic listener of nature was something that was a constant. It carried my whispered wishes of a dream made untrue, and held it secret until I could let it go myself. I dream of a future untold, but I knew it would be untrue.
