Chapter Text
After Namjoon learns that Jimin has freckles, he is truly never the same.
He sees them all the time now. He doesn’t know how he didn’t notice before—they’re faint, but they’re beautiful, and Namjoon spends a substantial amount of his time staring at Jimin. But now that he knows they’re there, they’re impossible for him to miss.
Jimin blushes whenever Namjoon kisses them, peachy and cute. “They’re like stars, Jimin-ah,” Namjoon always tells him. He traces constellations across his cheeks until he laughs and ducks his head, only to lean into Namjoon’s touch later on.
Tonight, they’re looking up at the real stars. Jimin listens carefully as Namjoon rattles off the names of real constellations, following the line of his finger when he points at the stars.
“But you’re prettier than all the stars,” Namjoon finishes. He drops his hand to squeeze Jimin’s. He can see the constellations on Jimin’s cheeks in the faint moonlight, a scattering of stars for Namjoon to kiss and cherish. His precious Jimin. He presses their forehead together. “My star, I love you.”
Jimin’s breath hitches. He squeezes Namjoon’s hands back carefully.
“You shine so brightly,” Namjoon whispers. “You burn so brightly, so full of goodness.”
Jimin looks dazed. “Hyung…,” he murmurs. He shakes his head and smiles. “I’m lucky to have you, that’s all.”
