Chapter Text
After Spongebob played for a few episodes Tubbo tried again to check back in with Theo, but it seemed again that Theo was passed out. He checked past messages to see what time it would be for Theo and saw that it would be about 6am for Theo, since it was 2pm for him.
Why Theo didn't go to sleep that night was beyond him. But to be fair he should have checked what time it was for him before inviting Theo to a movie night.
Tubbo sat at his desk, letting the call still run on his laptop as he went to text Ranboo on his computer.
Tubbo: I saw someone with the same hair color as you but really short lol. Text me when you're up bossman
And he went back to editing.

Ranboo groaned as he woke up for the second time, his phone was buzzing with a discord notification. He reached for it and got blinded by the light for a moment as he checked what it said.
Tubbo: I saw someone with the same hair color as you but really short lol. Text me when you're up bossman
Oh right, he hadn't shown Tubbo his new haircut yet. He'll call Tubbo later and show him.
Ranboo: Nice, barely waking up rn
Tubbo: How'd you sleep?
Ranboo: Like shit, didn't go to bed till late
Tubbo: How come?
Ranboo: Was watching a movie and shit
Tubbo: Nice, I'll let you continue to wake up
Ranboo turned to look over at his laptop, seeing that he was still on call with Ash, oops. He quickly grabbed it and typed in chat.
Theo: Sorry for falling asleep! Haha
Ash: It's perfectly fine, did you just get up? you should try and get more sleep
Theo: I just woke up a few mins ago lol, and I'll be okay :)
Ash: Alright! Want me to put on another show or some youtube or something?
Theo: Anything you want is fine! I'll get some breakfast while you do that!
Ash: Sounds good
Ranboo stared at his laptop for a moment, in the sidebar he could see the conversations he just had. Ash was on do not disturb, but Tubbo had just gone offline. It was weird how fast he went offline and Ash started typing.
Ranboo shrugged it off and went to go get breakfast, bringing his laptop with him. His mother was in the kitchen getting her coffee before she went off to an early morning meeting.
"Morning honey. Are you watching something with Tubbo?" She asked as Ranboo put his laptop down on the kitchen counter.
"No, another friend." Ranboo said as he looked down at the screen. A video that he had filmed with Tommy was on? Ranboo went to the chat quickly.
Theo: Are you a fan of mcyt?
Ash: hahaha yeah, I haven't seen this vlog yet and Tommy posted it yesterday
Theo: Cool!
But inside Ranboo was panicking. There was no way he would ever be able to talk to Ash in call, or show his face, or show anything that could allude to him being who he was.
"Alright, I'll be back later hun." His mom said, breaking off Ranboo's thoughts.
"Okay. Bye mom." Ranboo smiled, waving a bit as she left the kitchen. When he heard the front door shut he began to panic again. He just wanted a little friend, he wanted someone to keep him company and talk about things with. He wanted to talk about pacifiers and cute sippy cups. He wanted to show off his stuffies and someone watch cartoons with.
But he knew that he couldn't keep doing calls with Ash or talk to him all too much. Not if Ash would be able to connect the dots somewhere.
After the video Ranboo sent a message.
Theo: Hey, gtg
Ash: Alright! Bye Theo!
Ranboo didn't send a message back, just left the call and closed his laptop.

Tubbo hadn't heard from Theo in a bit. This was odd because since they had met a few days ago they texted quite a bit. Sure they'd only called once, but they texted a bit. So when Theo just left without saying anything it wasn't a red flag.
What was a red flag was that he didn't answer any messages Tubbo had sent.
Ash: Hiiiiii, just wanted to say I had fun earlier! Thanks for watching stuff with me!

Tubbo put his phone down, but he didn't feel tired. He felt restless and he wanted to know what had happened that made Theo mad at him. There was no other reason why Theo would be reading the messages but not responding.
He sighed and rolled over in bed, staring at the wall. What had he done? They had watched Spongebob and then Youtube. Then Theo just left completely, no warning.
Tubbo rolled back over in bed and grabbed his phone again. He once again reread all of the messages that they had sent back and forth. When no more information was offered in them he sighed and switched back to his main account. He saw that Ranboo was live and in a voice call on their server by himself.
He joined and heard Ranboo talking about something random.
"And then I said, oh wait hi Tubbo." Ranboo greeted.
"Hiiiii." Tubbo said as he yawned.
"Are you going to bed soon Tubbo?" Ranboo asked and Tubbo hummed softly.
"I dunno, I might stay up late and watch South Park." Tubbo joked lightly. Ranboo laughed lightly and Tubbo grabbed his laptop. He went to watch Ranboo mining but paused when he saw he was still logged in on his other discord account. He clicked into his dms with Theo again.
Ash: Goodnight
Ranboo inhaled softly and Tubbo heard Ranboo pick something up and then put it back down.
"What was that?" Tubbo asked, curious about the noise. Ranboo paused for a moment.
"Nothing, friend texted." Ranboo said swiftly.
"You have friends other than me?" Tubbo joked as he looked at his laptop.

He sighed again and closed the laptop, deciding to not watch the mining after all. He truly hated that for some reason the only person he truly trusted in little space was now ghosting him.
