Summary
"You can open your eyes now, lovebug," Wilbur declared, planting a quick kiss on Tommy's forehead.
"Mm, no," the little whined playfully.
"No?" Wilbur feigned shock.
"'M s'eepy."
"Time for bed?"
Tommy just hummed, letting his arms find their way around his dada's neck and his chin to his shoulder. When he knew Wilbur couldn't see, he opened his eyes, just for the heck of it. He grinned at his silly antics.
"What's so funny, mister?" Wilbur asked, tone alight with his own smile as he rubbed the little's back, "I can feel you grinning back there."
Tommy giggled, tucking his thumb into his mouth on instinct. "Nuffin'."
In which Tommy finally decides to leave his abusive family and goes to stay with his pseudo-brother, Wilbur. Amidst the chaos of his life, Tommy finds calm, and slowly, he learns how he can heal from his past.

"Come on," the particles whispered, tone seductively terrifying, a cold, cavernous echo that flew up from behind them, whistling around their head. "Grab it, take their lives."
"Fuck off," Ranboo muttered, eyes washing nervously over their friends' faces, over the lens of their camera at the other end of the table.
Aimsey's head whipped around, eyes wide when they met Ranboo's. Clearly, he'd heard. Ranboo shook their head minutely, wordlessly answering the unasked question as they looked away. They could feel Aimsey's eyes lingering on them.
They needed help. They needed help, badly. But what were they meant to do? End the stream with a "sorry, the voices are acting up again lol" posted to their alt Twitter?
In which Ranboo hears some not-very-nice voices that tell them to do some not-very-nice things.

"I know, I know, baby, but you need to focus right now." Nimona tried to quell her sobs. "Can you get to the window by your bed?"
Nimona looked behind her at the curtains. They were on fire, like everything else in the world.
"No," and her sobs started anew.
"Shit," she heard her mother mutter. "What about the other window?"
Nimona looked and shook her head, lips quivering when she remembered her mom couldn't hear her. "No." Then the edge of the carpet she was sitting on caught aflame. She screamed. "Momma! It's getting closer!"
In which Nimona, after 10 years in the foster system, ends up with Mr Ballister Boldheart and his boyfriend who she swears she saw speaking on the news in the wake of the Queen's death. But what was the next-in-line doing living part-time in some random neighbourhood, miles away from the Kapital, and pretending his name was "Amber"?

Summary
November 30th. A.K.A. Wilbur's most favourite day of the year (other than maybe the last day of school, but it was hard to tell which was better).
The obvious question is "What makes November 30th so great?" To which Wilbur would smile, eyes lighting up at the memories piled up over years of tradition. Not to mention getting to skip school.
Wilbur is excited about getting to decorate with his family for Christmas :)

Sue him, but he was fucking sick of the sun. Sick of watching its trek down the evening sky from his bedroom window, sick of watching its rays taint the air from the same window just a few hours later, not a minute of sleep in between.
He wondered, sitting atop his kitchen counter with a limp sandwich beside him, what to do. The longer this went on, the worse his ideas got.
It was definitely getting bad again. He hadn't had some of these thoughts since he was 13.

There’s an interesting phenomenon that occurs in Shouto’s mind that he calls “powering off.” It’s something that can be represented by a flip phone snapping shut mid-call: a sudden disconnection, an abrupt and incomplete conclusion. He snaps shut. He disconnects. He remains where he was, visually the same as before, but he is somewhere else entirely.

Or, Shouto finding out about and coming to terms with being the host of a DID system. It's rough, but he's not alone - and, in a way, that's part of the problem.
